I had been using combination skin moisturizer at night for years, but I decided it was time to try a hydrating night cream. I was definitely skeptical and afraid night cream would turn my skin into an oily nightmare. I had no idea what to buy. But I majorly lucked out. I remembered that Target stores started selling Boots products. Boots is a pharmacy chain in the UK that I loved when I was in London. It's like CVS, but a lot more beauty-oriented. I wish we had them here. I read some fantastic reviews of the Boots No7 products online, so I decided to go to Target. I went all out and bought the Boots No7 Advanced Hydration Night Cream, one of the most moisturizing creams in the line. This stuff changed my skin. It's thick and creamy, but when it goes on, the skin absorbs it and there is no oily residue at all. It's like the cream incorporates itself into your skin. I woke up the next day and my dry patches looked and felt totally normal. The packaging is beautiful and looks high-end, but at about $17 a jar, it is quite the deal. My only criticism is that it is a little too perfumey, although it's an absolutely lovely scent. I think this is why it stung just a little bit on my dry patches the first two times I used it. Once it healed the dryness, there was no stinging at all, but I wouldn't recommend this product if you have extremely irritated, red, or especially sensitive skin. I have since tried a couple other night creams and the Boots No7 Advanced Hydration is still my favorite. Being the junkie that I am though, I will keep trying new stuff to see if anything can top it.

Before I found this stuff, I disliked every eye pencil I tried. I had pretty much given up eye pencils for liquid eyeliner or matte black eyeshadow applied with an angled brush. Then one day I saw a woman with beautiful, vibrant purple eyeliner and I asked her what it was. She laughed and told me it was an Urban Decay Pencil and that she had actually applied it the night before. I had to have this eye pencil. Since then I always have an Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in my makeup collection. The formula is amazing. It's rich, creamy, and blendable. And once it dries, it's not moving. It's completely budge-proof AND water-proof. Right now I only have it in the color Zero, but I'm excited to try Perversion, which is an even deeper black. Maybe I'll even branch out and try some colors too :o)
