I love the feel of the shave gel as opposed to a foam, and the shave is smoother. On the downside, shave gels don't wash off as easily as foams, leaving a gooey mess on your hand, they don't wash out of razors as well as foams, and the they are generally colder to the touch, which is offsetting in the AM
