I swore I would never use Preference again. That was nearly 10 years ago. I was very put off my the strong chemical smell and it made my eyes burn. I can't even tell you if I liked the end result. Anyway I color my hair maybe 3-4 times year, with Clairol Natural Instinct, L'Oreal Natural Match or Excellence Creme, all of which don't wreck my hair too much. I decided to try Preference because I was looking for a dark brown color and while box representations aren't always accurate, I really liked Preferences Dark Brown (which apparently is Penelope Cruz's Signature Color according to the box). It may be too soon to tell how long this color will last but I totally love it! Again the chemical smell was too strong as before but the overall result was spectacular. There was minimal hair fall out after rinsing out the dye. I don't have any greys yet so I can't comment on grey coverage. The color looks very natural.

This week I started to experiment with Dry Shampoos. I have shoulder length fine, wavy, frizzy hair. I occasionally have oily, itchy scalp and have to wash daily. Dove does a good job of giving hair fullness. On day two after washing it worked ok for soaking up oil. Day three I used it after my morning workout and it didn't seem to work as well. I had to wear my hair in a clip because the crown of my hair looked pretty oily. My hair was very full though and certainly the product helps with updos. Ponytail holders would never stay in my hair before because washing it daily made it too clean and soft but going without washing gives it more volume. I'm not sure if I had issues with my can. When I first sprayed the product it looked like a foam coming out but after that all I've gotten is liquid. I contacted the company and they are sending me a coupon to purchase a replacement. I think the product still does what it's supposed to regardless. I recently tried Batiste Dry Shampoo and would say it triumphs over Dove for soaking up oily. Even on day 3 after a workout I didn't look greasy. I am going to continue experimenting with Dove. I am also trying out Suave brand.

This week I've decided to experiment with several different dry shampoos. I've have been always been someone who has to wash their hair daily. I have fine, frizzy wavy shoulder length hair. As I've gotten older it has been thinning. While my hair always feels soft when I wash it it seemed more frizzy. I occasionally deal with oily, itchy, scalp plus I work out a lot so I figured there was no chance I could every skip shampooing. So far I've tried Dove and I've tried Batiste. Batiste really does the job. I am on my third day of not washing. I even ran 13 miles this morning with my hair under a cap and surprising I didn't look like a grease ball. I read about someone using the product at night to help fend off the morning greasiness. So even after my workout this morning I didn't have to apply anything. I will say that when I applied it last night my scalp did itch a bit. I have bangs so that is usually here greasiness is noticed first. By morning though everything was fine. Dry shampoos would be great on hair that has been "blown out" the day before or styled. For me with my hair that isn't pin-straight it seems a little dull. You do have to make sure to massage and comb so that it absorbs. I also tried Dove. That product seemed to give me a lot of body and fullness but didn't absorb oil as well as Batiste on day two and three.

Once a year I usually buy Pantene products even though they are not good for my hair...sure it leaves it shiny but I don't have a lot of hair and pantene just makes it flat and it seems a lot of my hair falls out. Regardless if they come out with a new product sometime I try it. I think it's lame that the New Beautiful Lengths line used to be there Resoratives line....gotta love marketing! Anyway I've been using the Breakage Defense shampoo and conditioner and both are pretty good. What's weird is that in the first week alone I have gotten three compliments from people that my hair is getting long. I'm definitely not saying that this product has someone how magically made my hair longer over the past week but something about it causes people to notice. Maybe it's smoother causing it so look longer...who knows. I like the product for now....smells great...no significant hairloss.....

I didn't want to buy into Proactiv's aggressive advertising campaign.....
I'm 34 and have been dealing with adult acne for 2 years. I've always used products geared toward acne control all my life to control the occasion flare up. When I entered my 30's my skin went crazy. All the things that made my skin look good stopped working. Even though I (and everyone else) was bombarded with Proactiv commercials I refused to try the products. I tried them in my early 20's and wasn't impressed. I went to the dermatologist and after two years I really wasn't seeing much improvement. The prescription products were very drying and I didn't like the way my skin looked. I've been using the Proactiv system for about 2 months with significant improvement. I use step 1 in the evening (Clinique liquid cleanser in the morning), I rarely use step 2, and I use step 3,the repairing lotion in the AM and PM before my Clinique moisturizer or serum. I may have the occasional pimple come to the surface but it's not as severe and the proactiv products help tremendously. I know it doesn't work for everyone and a lot of reviews on this site had deterred me from making the purchase. I'm so happy I did, The only downside is that to be a member and get better pricing you have to agree to their automatic shipping. You can opt out but their customer service team gives you a hard time which sucks.

I love this serum. I can't say that my fine lines have been eliminated but I don't believe that any skincare product can really repair aging skin. I've also been hit with adult acne so I'm very particular about what I can use on my skin. I love this product for the following reasons: 1) My skin feels soft and smooth 2) my complexion overall has improved 3) my skin isn't breaking out. I'm amazed I can use this serum all over my face with no breakouts. A little goes a long way too.

After reading so many good things about Perfect 10 I decided to give it a try. I liked the representation of the color on the box, making it easy to choose the dark chocolately color I wanted. The application process was terrible. The formula wasn't thick enough to keep it from dripping. It was very messy. The color was supposed to mute any reddish tones to my hair but it ended up with reddish tones at the root. The color didn't last at all. I don't have any greys yet and I don't like coloring my hair too often to avoid damaging it. I was pretty bummed to have to go through all that with negative results. It amazes me that this product has won so many awards for best haircolor. It really is terrible.....

I tried Clairol's Natural Instincts Rich Color Creme in darkest brown. I have used Natural Instincts before but this was the first time I tried their new Color Creme 10 minute product. I have to say that it was probably the best experience coloring my hair that I have ever had. The application process was easy and not at all messy. It smelled better than any other hair color I've tried and didn't reek of chemicals. When I washed it out of my hair I noticed how much better by hair felt, not dry or brittle. My hair actually does look better than before I colored it...shiny & healthy. I cannot testify on how well it works on greys because I don't have any yet. Also the product states that darker shades may not wash out in 28 shampoos which is perfect for me but I wonder how long it would last with someone with lighter hair. This is a great product.

It was by coincidence that I have found Simply Organic products. I've tried about 5 products and I absolutely love all of them. About the sealer, I spray it on my damp hair and style. It's lightweight, it creates incredible shine and it rids my hair of the frizzies. I've been spending so much money lately trying to find something that would work with my hair and am so happy with the Simply Organic line.

I love this conditioner. I can work it in all the way to the scalp and it doesn't cause my hair to be flat or weighed down. Follow with the Rejuvenating Sealer for beautiful, manageable hair.
