  • NYC New York Color Cosmetics Smooch Proof 16HR Lip Stain

I have this color in Persistent Pink(490). The color that gets on your lips is darker than what the packaging may make you think. I have naturally pinkish/reddish lips already, and this color made the lips slightly redder. This does not last as long as the Revlon Just Bitten or the Covergirl Outlast. This also doesn't last 16 hours. However, this does last a whole work day, and I find it is not as hard on the lips as Covergirl Outlast was to mine. At around $5 a pop regular price at drugstores, it is cheaper than both of the aforementioned lip stains(and waay cheaper than the benefit lip stain I love!), and is definitely worth the price. I wear this and let it sit for a few minutes before putting on a lip gloss or a lip cream on top. I pretty much only do natural makeup. I have fair skin with cool tones. There are also a lot of different colors to choose from, so there is probably a good one for other skin tones as well. I would definitely recommend, and I would buy again.

NYX Cosmetics NYX Lip Gloss with Mega Shine

Pretty good, but wish it was odorless

I am a lip gloss junkie, and I had been dying to try this gloss for a while. I have the color in beige (not beige at all, it is more of a nude pink), and I really love the color and the finish. I am fair skinned with cool tone, and it goes great with my complexion. The gloss is not too sticky, and my lips do not dry out at all. The wand is easy to use as well. At around $5 a pop regular price at CVS(or anywhere else it's sold), it is a great alternative to pricier lip glosses. However, the artificial fruity smell is kind of uncalled for. It is overpowering upon application, but fortunately it disappears pretty quickly so it's not really a big deal. I would recommend if the person is buying at a drugstore, but otherwise I would recommend Revlon super lustrous(~$8 at drugstores, ~$5 at target/bed bath and beyond/walmart) instead, because there's no funky smell associated with it, with just as good quality.

  • NYX Cosmetics Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray

This is a pretty great setting spray for its price. At $8 a pop regular price at CVS, this is definitely worth a try. I have combination type skin, and without the spray, my makeup usually fades by the end of the day, and my nose is oily and shiny. I used this spray in the winter, and I live pretty high up north so there is little humidity and bitter cold. I also used this on top of a matte setting powder, and a mineral base illuminator. The spray does have a slight but noticeable chemical smell at the time of application. But it's not really a big deal because the smell dissipates pretty quickly. The finish is also more satiny than matte. It is between matte and dewy. Additionally, I do need to spray 2 to 3 times per use to get my entire face. The spray is pretty good. It it just as fine as your usual water mister that you can get at your local drugstore. I would definitely recommend, and I would definitely buy again. It is a great alternative to other pricey setting sprays on the market. NYX also has a dewy finish setting spray, but I have not used it.

  • Neutrogena Healthy Skin Glow Sheers

    Neutrogena Healthy Skin Glow Sheers

Great product if you already have beautiful skin

If you have pretty much perfect skin(i.e. no acne, no spots, etc.) this is a great great foundation. The coverage is pretty minimal and light, but it evens out the skin and gives you a healthy, glowing, beautiful look. It spreads easily, the product lasts for quite a bit, and no one can tell that you have make up on. The one problem I find with it is that after a while, the foundation does start to smell a little funky. I think this can be categorized more as a tinted sunscreen than anything. I would recommend to those with already good skin, but I probably would not buy again. I can do better with that price tag.

  • L'Occitane Rose & Reine Eau de Toilette

I got the rollerball for this perfume a while ago, and what can I say? It is just roses roses roses! If you love the scent of roses, this perfume is just the thing for you. The rollerball is a red gradient glass tube, with a golden top and a golden coin-like tip. It is absolutely beautiful. The staying power is great, and the scent is fresh. Unfortunately I accidentally dropped it on the concrete and smashed it everywhere so I do not have it at the moment, but I have the hand cream in this scent and I really can't get enough of it. I have gotten compliments on it too! I would recommend to anyone who loves roses, and I would probably buy again.

  • OPI Nail Lacquer

    OPI Nail Lacquer

Great colors, love the brush, love the sephora line too

I use a lot of nail polish, and of course, OPI is one of my favorite brands too. The color selection is great, and I have fallen in love with many of them. I think the pricing is a little high though, so I tend to not buy them unless they are on sale. One of my most used 'comfort colors' of my collection is from an OPI Sephora collection in "BYOB". I almost always end up going for wearing that pink color. It is one of my two favorite colors, the other being from China Glaze. I would recommend, I would buy again. I would buy it as gifts for a friend, even!

  • China Glaze Nail Lacquer with Hardeners

China Glaze Nail Lacquer with Hardeners

Best nail polish line I have used

I really have a bad addiction to nail polish, so I have tried many different kinds. Out of all of them, China Glaze products have been my favorite. The gloss is unmatched, chipping isn't much of a problem, they are constantly on sale so they are affordable, and the colors are just beautiful. The only problem I have had with them is that the color does tend to transfer onto paper in a crayon-like consistency if you do not top coat them. Otherwise, it is a great product. I have gotten the most compliments from their colors. One of my favorite colors from them is "seduce me". It is a deep red, and it is the only red that has looked good on me so far (cool, fair skin). Also helps that the polish comes off REALLY easily even with cheap nail polish remover. None of that frustrating scrubbing furiously business. I would recommend. I would buy again.

  • Milani Baked Blush

    Milani Baked Blush

    Finally found a great blush

This blush is flattering, has good staying power, easy to use, affordable, and has a good selection to choose from. The packaging is cute and sturdy and small enough to travel with. The compact case is gold and comes with a brush(useless) and a mirror(also not very convenient). The quality of the blush is great for its price. It is easy to apply, and color control is pretty easy. I would recommend and I would repurchase!

  • Maybelline New York Fit Me Concealer
    6.0

Maybelline New York Fit Me Concealer

easy to use, good coverage, cheap, but packaging is awful

The coverage is initially pretty good, and the product is cheap and easy to use. I use it on top of primer, foundation, blend it with a brush or with my fingers, and set it with powder. The coverage is pretty average. It covers small blemishes pretty well but does not cover acne very well. It also does not stay on all day. I have combination type skin and I stay inside all day. I WOULD repurchase if it was not for the packaging. The outside label smears off after a while, and stained the inside of my makeup bag black, as well as got the black labeling ink all over my other makeup products that I kept with it. Because of it, my other stuff is a mess, and my fingers got dirty touching the packaging. I don't understand why this happened. I live in the north, so it is not like I live in extreme high temperatures either. This completely ruined the product for me. I took a tissue and scrubbed as much of the label off so I could finish off the product without further getting the ink everywhere, but I would not buy again. Would not recommend. Sad because the product itself is not that bad.

  • Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum
    7.0

Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum

smells great, easy to overapply, does the job but better for long hair

I apply by putting a little bit of oil on my hand and rubbing my hands together to warm up the oil a little before smoothing it into my damp hair by running my fingers through it. It is easy to overapply the oil, so I would go easy on how much you pump out. I use half a full pump because I have short hair(does not reach my shoulder). If overapplied, your hair will look greasy and you will get acne from it. Otherwise it does get rid of the frizz and makes hair considerably smoother. This product did wonders for my friend who has really long, thick hair. It did not make much of a difference to my hair though, but maybe it was hard to see since I have pretty short hair. Either way, if you are having problems with frizz and smoothness control, I would totally recommend. It works and it is pretty cheap (the smaller bottle less than $5 a pop at target or something, and believe me you don't really need that much to last you a while). The smell is pretty minimal and non-intrusive. The spout also clicks to lock if you screw it sideways too, which can be useful for traveling. I would still put it in a bag though, since it does tend to leak and get pretty greasy.
