I was looking forward to this product due to the raving reviews I'd seen online and even from friends. Most of my friends have dry skin that isn't really "acne-prone" like my own oily face, but they stated that they hardly leave it on for the full 10 minutes (most of them would put it on their T-zone or areas with high amounts of product buildup). The product is a cool color and a fantastic consistency (making it fun to put on, so this review saddens me). So, I did the same. I placed the product on my T-zone and I didn't use it for the full 10 minutes the first time I used it because I'd never used a product so strong before. I don't consider my skin sensitive, and I know that oily skin is more resilient for newer products. My skin was instantly red, but I only used it at night and continued with my skincare routine. I used this product ~once a month on my harsher makeup days where I wanted to make sure my skin was exfoliated nicely and free of product. Within the first month of use I ended up turning more and more red. I am mixed and have a medium olive skin tone, and I don't even sunburn red, so this was a surprise to me. By the second month of use, I placed it on my chin and the next day I woke up with what I could call a chemical burn. My skin had a thin scab and it felt similar to a bruise when I talked and moved my lips. At this point I thought: "well, I won't be using this on my face anymore". I moved the product to my shoulders, and to this day haven't experienced any issues on widespread areas of skin like my shoulder and décolletage. Long story short: I would use it for shoulders and "thicker" skin, than on the sensitive skin of the face.
