Recently, as my tube of 3 in 1 is running out (and I'm always on the search for a "better" product than the one I might be using), I went to Nordstroms and Sephora to seek a better under eye concealer. After about an hour I felt like Goldilocks: "this one is too cakey"; "this one is waaaay too dark"; "this one gives me the lovely 'photo negative' look", "this one would be great, if I were the lost 'Simpson'", etc. etc. Guess what? Neutrogena 3 in 1 covers my circles, doesn't settle into fine lines, and is JUST MY SKIN COLOR. Yes, it must be re-applied after a few hours(oily skin), but when it's on there, it looks fresh, natural, and like I actually slept last night (whether I did or not). And no, it doesn't get rid of puffines, but really, I just want my undereye concealer to make the dark circles to go away. Right? I give it a "9", if only b/c the perfect product, which might NOT need to be re-applied, could still be out there somewhere......

For years my dermatologist would insist I use this stuff. Back then my skin was uber-oily, acne prone and resilient. It didn't make me feel clean or remove makeup. Now that I get more dry patches and at times have really irritated spots, I have turned to this when everything else, literally, hurt to use. But it doesn't take off makeup well, and is chockfull of ingredients like parabens. Better bets, as I have discovered in the meantime, for irritated or sensitive skin would be Boscia or Yonka. Both make excellent, non-irritating skin cleansers that CLEAN.

did this product clear up my skin? No. But I have found a regimen that, after 35 odd years of breakouts, does seem to be working (oral niacinimide, 1,000 mg's QD and Mama lotion, as my skin tolerates, with Neutrogena Acne Stress Control for spot treatments) and I plan to incorporate this lotion back into my routine this winter. It feels great going on and really, really helps protect skin when the air inside and out gets dry, without seeming to cause any extra blemishes. Which is nice. I only gave it a 7 b/c it is not a year round product for those with oily skin and it doesn't actually seem to "purify" my skin either. But it does moisturize and I love the smell of Yonka. It's a bit pricey too; have to save up for this one....

great for winter, even for breakout prone skin. Summer came though, and clearly this was not enough to combat the acne caused by a combination of heat, humidity, sweat, and sunscreen. I usually return to it around October.

This is a good product. I did find more visible difference in my skin with the phloretin CF, but I alternate with this one and it does what it is supposed to do: helps keep my skin looking good and, importantly,acts as an anti-oxidant under sunscreen (important since they just found out that sunscreens actually INCREASE free radical activity in the skin. great news, right? But they also found that topical anti-oxidants applied beforehand can balance that reaction out). I like skinceuticals hands down over any other topical vitamin C, especially for my aging, yet somehow still acne-prone, oily, skin.

I don't know why this stuff made me so happy. I found it for 12 bucks at a TJ maxx and gave it a try; it was well worth THAT price! The smell was really nice, skin felt clean, not stripped, and I wish I made the kind of money that justified paying full price for it...

I am halfway through my jar, and find that I have to "force" myself to use it. Haven't found much change, no glow, no reduction in age spots, nothing like that. It is moisturizing for my somewhat oily skin, and not too heavy. But it's just a moisturizer; not a "treatment" that I can tell. (And certainly not "transforming"!)

It's not a miracle for my ridiculously frizzy hair (not helped by lousy, hard water where I live now), but mixed with a squirt of Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Curl Cream and I'm good to go (except on rainy days...)

Forget "shiny". Not even "glowing". Try: your pores become individual little pits with glitter at the bottoms of them. This makeup actually managed to make me look WORSE, which, with my skin, is saying something. However, mineral makeup is a great idea; "Mineral Basics" for instance. Go to mineralbasics website for samples and very reasonable prices. No glitter, no cake, no accentuated wrinkles, good acne coverage (even the kind foundation and concealer won't cover), and smooth, complimented skin.

Makes large pores look larger, with the added "benefit" of glitter at the bottoms of them. I actually look better without this. (After trying several different brands, including top of the line Belladonna, I am sticking with Mineral Basics. It gives good, buildable coverage, it's cheap, and it works great as a spot cover.)
