As far as color protection goes, almost all the Pantene products do that, so it's similar to other shampoos and conditioners in their line. It's better than the John Freida stuff which made my hair greasy. However, if you really want to protect your faux red color, go with a salon brand for weekly treatments, like Goldwell or Art tech.

I put on this product outside of the shower, as instructed, but left it on for 2 minutes (instead of the written one) just in case before I entered the shower. It states to try to avoid water in the shower as much as possible, but unless you are a cirque performer, you will get water on the product. The creme rubbed off about 2 minutes into the shower which, for my hair type, is not enough time to work. The product probably got off about 80% of my hair, so it would be a good "pre-shave" product, but you will not get baby smooth legs from this product (unless you are a Swedish Blonde, which I am far from). The sponge in this product is the real winner, buffing off the hair...I just wish it came with more than one sponge as the fibers get "clogged." For reference, I am 5'8", 150 pounds, and it took nearly the whole tube to cover my legs (versus a nair/veet bottle or sally hansen spray depilatory where I use only half the product). I'd say use this product if you have not shaved all winter and need a pre-shave solution to cut down shaving time; otherwise, use the Sally Hansen or regular Veet and Nair products.

When I was a kid, I had to deal with the J&J No More Tears detangler, which worked, but smelled like laundry detergent and left hair dry. While my hair is not quite as tangled as a kid, I have the occasional knot. This product works wonders on knots and smells great! Plus, it conditions hair like a leave-in, so I use it on days when I am too lazy and just use a 2-in-1 on my hair. I got this product free with other Sunsilk products, and I am never going back (well, unless they discontinue this product like some of their other ones). I have had my bottle for about a year now with regular use and I still have half the bottle left... so major bargain. If you have little girls, definitely use this product! It will make those rats' nest pow wows much more pleasant!

If you want a foundation that has medium coverage, matte finish, and feels light, this product is for you. Carmindy used to use this foundation on What Not To Wear, until she got her own product line. Just spray a bit on a sponge and apply! It doesn't rub off concealer like other foundations do, so you don't have to worry about over layering your products. Even though the product only comes in a few shades, it matches skintones pretty well... I am paler than pale (think Tim Burton character), but I can use the beach beige. The product can sometimes be hard to find, but when you do, definitely try it!

This product was great on 1) price and 2) color depositing.... that is, if you do not mind 3-day, non-shampooed, helmet head right out of the shower. If you need a color depositing shampoo to revitalize your red (a problem all faux redheads have), then go with the Loreal Professional line or Goldwell (both at Ulta). Bonus: Goldwell is often under the B1G1 or B2G2 promotions at Ulta, and you use less of it per time, so it ends up being comparable price-wise to this product.

Maybelline New York Intense XXL Volume & Length Waterproof Microfiber Mascara
Only for those with anorexic lashes
I will admit that my lashes are on the fuller side naturally, but I have to try every mascara on the market. I tried this one after trying Revlon's two-coat system (also a money waster). This mascara made my lashes stick together like magnets, causing tarantula eyes. If your lashes are on the extreme sparse side, then you might not have this problem. I actually tried the 2nd coat (black mascara) by itself and it was a good basic mascara, so it was not a total loss. But the primer clumps everything together like putting lipgloss on your lashes. If you want to prime your lashes to "find" those small hairs, then I recommend just going with a clear mascara that is thinner/defining without the clumping.

L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Color Truth Cream Eyeliner
Great for the price, but use a better brush.
I love this product for every day use because it stays from morning til night, including gym time. It is comparable to high-end eyeliners for a better price (check Walgreens' ads... they often have buy one, get one free deals on Loral HIP). Once you put it on, after about 10-20 seconds, the makeup is set...so be careful in applying. I do recommend doing the eye makeup first before foundation with this product...that way it is easier to remove mistakes without ruining your whole face. I will say that the brush is total crap... after a few uses (even with cleaning) the brush was stiff like I had dipped it in glue. Instead, I use Studio Gear's eyeliner and angled brush with this eyeliner... they clean up better with just eye makeup remover or baby shampoo. The makeup itself is definately worth it though if you want that high drama liquid eye line that will not smudge and lasts all day.

I'm not a natural redhead, so when my dark brown roots come in, it's another 60 bucks at the salon. I tried this because it had won some awards and whatnot, and boy was I surprised! I am actually a medium auburn, but I went with the light auburn and it matched perfectly. It was as if I went to the salon! It was easy to do, except for the back of my head, but I have long hair, so it's not a big deal. On package was enough to do the trick. It says its good for 3 weeks, but I am on 5 weeks strong. AMAZING!

I'm a filmmaker, so I use my hands a lot and used to not wear polish on the set because it would chip off. This color, however, lasts forever! I can usually paint my nails and only have to redo them when my nails grow out significantly (so every 2 weeks or so). I would recommend giving your nails a breather between manicures, though, because the cranberry color (which I wore for about a month with touchups) turned my nails a little yellow. I love the forever scarlet color... it is the perfect 1950s red (true Revlon red). I bought every set they had at the store! For those girls who work hard and play hard, this is the lasting polish for you!

These black infused shades are dynamic! I love the purple pleasure shade and it lasts a while (though, not as long as the colorstay 2 step process). To make it last longer, use the revlon colorstay topcoat. These shades are not goth...they are rockstar!
