    Bobbi Brown Metallic Eye Shadow

    Bobbi Brown Metallic Eye Shadow

After using other Bobbi Brown eye shadows in other finishes, I wanted to try these because of my very positive experiences with the other Bobbi Brown eye shadows. I tested a few that were on the tester display at a Bobbi Brown counter and decided on Nude Beach, Nude Glow, and Nude Spice. I prefer a natural neutral look for every day cosmetic application, and these colors not only suited me, but fulfilled my criteria. Don't let the metallic title or finish scare you off. They are really nice when applied and it isn't a glaring glittery finish, but kind of a nicely diffused glow. The texture is extremely silky and it clings to the brush when you load your brush prior to application. I find when I apply them, I have no color fallout. The pigment saturation is great, you don't need a lot of product to get a nice application. They are extremely buildable, and they blend seamlessly. I am extremely oily, and even when I don't use a primer, they last wonderfully, no creasing, no fading, no slipping. Just as with the other finishes of the Bobbi Brown eye shadows I own, I find these perform far better for me than many other high end shadows I have tried over the years with far less positive results. The shadow also doesn't settle into fine lines emphasizing them, the shimmery finish seems to almost diffuse light so well it appears to minimize fine lines, and that in itself is a huge bonus for me.

    Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow

    Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow

I really liked the line of Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Wash line of eye shadows, I decided to try a few of the other finishes in her line of eye shadows. I perfer a neutral look for every day, a natural look. I picked up Naked, Bare, and Navajo. I really liked the texture of the Shimmer Wash line, and I liked the texture of these as much as well. They are very silky in texture, they are buildable, and seamlessly blendable. The pigment saturation is excellent. You don't have to use a lot of product to get great color payoff. The shadow clings nicely to an application brush, so I have had no problem with fallout during application. They wear very well for me with or without primer, and that is a plus for me as I am extremely oily. I find they don't crease, slide, or fade even after hours of wear. The little palette the eye shadow singles come in are very basic, yet elegant, not over stated. I find that they are worth the price because they perform very well for me far better than many other high end eye shadows that were more expensive, yet didn't perform as well for me as Bobbi Brown's do. I will be adding a few more colors to my collection because they work so well for me, and I have not noticed a color I haven't liked in this line. There are many colors, so anyone could find a color or two that would suit anyone's taste or skin tone. They are a really great line.

  • Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow

I recently became a fan of Bobbi Brown cosmetics. I had tried a few different products from her collection at a store display and was really impressed with the finished look, so I picked up two eye shadow singles from the Shimmer Wash line, Nude and Buff. I prefer a neutral look for everyday and these eye shadows didn't disappoint me. The texture is so silky, and the shimmer is subtle and very attractive. They are very blendable and buildable and the shimmer isn't like glitter, nor does it emphasize any small lines you may have. In fact, in my experience, it seems to diffuse light in a manner that conceals lines. The little palette is very nice and sleek and will fit in a makeup bag in a ahnd bag for touch ups. I find that I rarely need to touch up, these shadows wear very well, with or without primer in my experience. They don't crease, they don't fade off, and I am extremely oily, and if it lasts for hours after application on my oily skin, it would last beautifully for someone who doesn't have oily skin. I receive many compliments when wearing the combination of the two colors I have. The pigment saturation is wonderful, you don't have to use a lot of product to get great color payoff. The shadow clings nicely to the bristles of an applicator brush, and when I apply it, I find I have no color fallout, it really applies nicely, and stays put once it is on. I plan on adding a few more Bobbi Brown eye shadows to my collection in some of the other formulations and finishes because I am so pleased with the shadows I have. They are a great addition to anyone's makeup wardrobe, and they come in a nice array of colors and finishes that would suit just about anyone's taste or skin tone.

  • Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner
    10.0

    Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner

I love gel eyeliners, but finding one that dried quick enough to not smear when I blinked or dry faster than I could apply it was quite a challange. I love Bobbi Brown's eye shadows, and after asking a few people about their favorites, and reading very favorable reviews, I bought this in Espresso. I found my Holy Grail eye liner! It applies smoothly, no weird goops, it dies fast enough not to smear, yet stays workable long enough for me to get the effect I want. I use a really fine taklon brush with semi firm bristles, and I get the nicest effect. I also am really pleased with the wearability of this product. It doesn't budge, it doesn't flake, and it doesn't melt off even after hours of wear. I like the fact that I can create a fine line or a more dramatic line depending on my mood, it is a very forgiving product and even if I do make a mistake, it is so workable, I can fix the mistake without having to totally redo my eye makeup. I am so glad I found this product, it is truly one of my favorites. When a product is this good, I don't mind paying the price I do for it. it is richly pigmented, you don't have to use a lot of product, and this little jar of wonderment has lasted me well over a year with almost daily use, and I bet the remainder will easily last another year. After all the money spent on other eye liners, this particular one is far more economical for me. Ther will always be a space in my train case for this little jar.

  • Sonia Kashuk Kashuk Tools Small Multipurpose Powder Brush

After two other prior purchases of Sonia Kashuk brushes, I was so happy with the quality that I decided to indulge myself and purchase this one as well. I have a lot of cosmetic brushes, high end to low end such as NARS, Urban Decay, TiGi, Aveeda, Redken, as well as Loew-Cornell art brushes. I don't mind paying the price for a quality brush either. I am very discerning when it comes to my brushes too. My Redken brushes are 16 years old, and I wash all my brushes everytime I use them. The brushes I own all have firm ferrules and don't shed even though I am very hard on my brushes. I had read some very positive reviews about Sonia Kashuk's line of brushes, and whenever I go to Target, I find myself at the Sonia Kashuk display checking out the brush samples and I felt them and they seemed to be very well made. The ferrules are firm, the ones I had purchased before have been washed quite a bit without any shedding. I have found that they also perform just as well as my higher end brushes, they are quite a bit more reasonable too, which is always a bonus. This particular brush performs just as well as my other Sonia Kashuk brushes. It loads well, blends well, the bristles are just firm enough for nice application, yet soft enough to blend your shadows seamlessly. The ferrule is firm, I have had no shedding, and I really like the ergonomic handles, they fit my hands wonderfully. Even though I don't really need anymore brushes, I am going to add to my Sonia Kashuk brush collection. The performance is great and the prices are even better.

Sonia Kashuk Tools Eye Shadow Brush

Sonia Kashuk Tools Eye Shadow Brush

I was so impressed with the quality of the Sonia Kashuk Angled Eye Shadow Brush, I decided to treat myself to this one as well. I am not diappointed with it either. I have a lot of brushes, many high end like NARS, Urban Decay, Trucco, Redken, TiGi, as well as Loew-Cornell art brushes. I am really hard on my brushes, I wash them everytime I use them, and my Redken brushes are 16 years old, and the ferrules are still firm and they don't shed, so my expectations are really high when it comes to make up brushes. Everytime I go to Target, I find my self at the Sonia Kashuk display. They have sample brushes out, and after examining and feeling the brushes, I bought the angled eye shadow brush and was extremely pleased with the quality as well as the price. This eye shadow brush was my second Sonia Kashuk brush purchase. I read many positive reviews, and I thought they appeared to be really well made. The ferrule is very firm, and even after washing it quite a bit, it hasn't shed a hair. I really like the ergonomic handle it fits my hand really well. I also am very pleased with the way the brush performs. It loads well, it doesn't create shadow fallout, and it really blends well as well as builds. it is a high quality brush at a very reasonable price, and I am really discerning when it comes to brushes, and even though I really don't need anymore, I always love to have a nice product at a reasonable price. This brush is a very good investment if you are looking to have a nice collection of reasonable well performing cosmetic brushes.

  • Sonia Kashuk Core Tools Angled Eye Shadow Brush

Sonia Kashuk Core Tools Angled Eye Shadow Brush

Sonia Kashuk Tools Angled Eye Shadow Brush

I can't go to Target without going through all the cosmetic aisles, and I always seem to stop at the Sonia Kashuk display. They have the brushes all out on the display and every time I felt them, that little voice in my head told me that they felt so nice and soft. I also read a few reviews that were very positive as far as the quality of this line of brushes. Over the years, I have amassed quite a collection of brushes from all lines. I have NARS, Urban Decay, Trucco, Redken, even art brushes like Loew-Cornell. I am also probaly the worst abuser of my brushes, I wash them everytime I use them, and my Redken brushes are sixteen years old and still have firm ferrules and don't shed, so my standards are pretty high. I have also paid hefty prices for some of my brushes, and though they are most certainly worth every penny I paid, it's always nice to save a few bucks and get a less expensive brush of high quality. I bought this angled shadow brush because I seem to use these sort of brushes when applying my eye makeup moreso than other types of shadow brushes. I picked it up and the price was very reasonable. The brush is very well made, the ferrule is nice and firm, and I really put this brush to the test. I found the bristles just firm enough to give me the definition I like with my application, yet it is pliable enough to blend as well. I like the handle, for me it is very ergonomic, and fits in my hand nicely. As with all my other brushes, I washed it everytime I used it, and the brush didn't shed, nor did the bristles break down, it also cleans very well. This particular brush performs just as well as my high end brushes, and are less costly, and I am very happy with the quality and plan on picking a few more up. I don't really need any more brushes, but at the price these are, I won't regret the price I will pay for them.

After years of trying to find a concealer that worked well for me, I finally found this product. It comes in many colors and I was finally able to find this which matches my skin tone perfectly. A little goes a long was, the texture is divine, it is blendable and buildable and it never looks cakey, nor does it settle in my fine lines. It is also one of the most natural looking concealers I have ever used. I love the tube packaging, you can just dab a little on your your brush and smooth it on, no waste.

  • M.A.C. Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

When I am having a great skin day, I use this instead of foundation. It imparts a very natural finish look, it last very well, and I don't have to continually touch it, it seems to really control my oily skin. It looks natural and is light on your skin. The texture is lovely and very silky and I have also found that it is extremely buildable as blendable, and I aplly it with a kabuki brush and smooth it out with a flocked sponge. It doesn't settle in my lines or pores, and the compact is great. I keeps the product seperate from the applicator sponge. When I use it to set my foundation, it give me many more hours of wear with out having to continually touch it up. I love it!

I love all the different colors and finishes to choose from, I love how good and moisturised my lips feel when I use them. They don't bleed or feather and the tube is really nice. They are high in pigment concentration, so you aren't constantly reapplying them. There are so many beautiful shades anyone could find a favorite, the are wonderfu and very reasonable too.
