This is a review for the over-the-counter version. I first got this as a tiny free sample, which I used as a spot treatment. I didn't like the way my skin healed after using this; it looked burnt where the pimples used to be. Since it is not meant to be a spot treatment, I decided to buy the full size and apply according to the directions. Differin does work. When I broke out, it was mostly in places I hadn't applied Differin, like the ears, hairline, body, etc. When used all over the face, my oily skin was still oily, but with some flakiness and peeling. The directions do warn you that it will be drying. I could use it as a spot treatment, but I don't like the way it leaves dark scars behind.

It has been some time since I last used this product, but I cannot remember a single good thing about it. It did not control shine or help makeup last longer. It definitely did not blur pores or imperfections like the Benefit Porefessional. It is clear like the Smashbox Photo Finish primer, but much thicker than any primer or mattifier I have ever used. I hated that I wasted my time and money on this.

I have had great results with all the witch hazel toners I've tried, and this one is no exception. It also has salicylic acid to fight acne, which it does moderately well with the cleanser from the same Burt's Bees line; but I think it works even better with Neutrogena's grapefruit cleanser. I have been looking for a toner that works with my oily face and sensitive neck. This one gets the dirt off my neck without irritating it. I would make this product a staple in my routine if it were not so difficult to find.

It gave me strange breakouts: hard, red bumps beneath the skin, white and raised above. Like whiteheads on top of cysts. I stopped applying it to my face, and only used it on my neck, where I started breaking out. I have acne-prone skin, but not usually on my neck. I don't mind that this lotion has the same herbal medicine smell of the rest of the line or that it is strangely thick for a facial moisturizer and hard to rub in. This product is supposed to fight acne and instead does the opposite. It also wasn't cheap, so it was a complete waste of money.

Of all the hyaluronic acid and gel moisturizers I've tried, I like this one best. It feels so luxurious that when I first put it on, I had to double-check the jar to make sure I hadn't bought the gel-cream by accident. It is very lightweight, almost like a serum, dries matte, but unfortunately does not stay matte on my very oily skin. It wears well under makeup. My only major criticism is that it comes in a jar.

I just finished a second bottle of this stuff. It is much more effective when paired with the grapefruit gel cleanser in the same line. This Neutrogena product is stronger than the Aveeno Clear Complexion moisturizer, but the Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer zaps zits faster. I'd use Neutrogena if I couldn't get my hands on Clean & Clear.

This is a review for the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless primer. The first time I tried a store sample over just sunscreen (nothing on top), it seemed to work, but I was hesitant to buy the full-size version because of the mixed reviews. I wasn't sure if it would play nice with foundation, so I bought the smaller tube instead. The consistency reminds of the Neutrogena Pore-Refining Mattifier that was discontinued. As I recall, that mattifier pilled if you tried to put anything on top of it. If you follow the directions on the Becca box and dab the primer on, it doesn't pill. But it doesn't mattify either. The Becca primer is too much of a process to apply, and it doesn't even work for me.

I wanted something that is not as thick as Nivea Creme but is more moisturizing than lotion, and this is it. Nivea Soft also softens the lines in my neck. The only negative for me is that the scent reminds me of someone I don't like, but that's my own thing.

I tried a travel-sized sample of the regular cream cleanser without any problems, but the one for sensitive skin just sat on my skin like a heavy cream/lotion. Then I thought the problem might be the water at my place. This stuff finally lathered like a cleanser when I started washing my face with drinking water. It might have worked better in a place with better quality water.

This dry shampoo didn't seem to do much to soak up grease, but that wasn't the worst part. It left chalky-white residue on my fingers, my hairtie (which I ended up tossing), and my comb. I'm usually someone who commits to using up a product to the very end, but I ended up throwing this away after a few weeks of use.
