Need a new skin care regime

My new year's resolution was to focus on my skin care regime, now that I'm starting to get older. This was not the right product line. I purchased the Serum, facial wash and mango moisture cream. My face is now flakeing awful, and I have now started to break out as well. I gave this about two weeks, guessing that I might need to let my skin adjust to the new product line. My skin now feels tight and dryed out, and I have spent the morning researching other facial lines. Keep in mind, I live in New England, so this may have made the flaking worse...but I have never had a winter where my skin was this bad!
