I have friends who use this and I have used this to do other people’s makeup and it looked amazing on them! It looked great in person and in photographs. However, no matter how much I tried, I just couldn’t get this to work for me, and I think it is a skin tone issue. Everyone I knew that used this had cool (pink) undertones. I don’t. Both this formula and the oil-free formula come in shades that are tailored to those with cool undertones. I have warm (golden/yellow) undertones and although some of the shades of this foundation say they work for yellow or neutral undertones, they just don’t. A couple of the foundation shades matched me in the department store, where there are harsh lights that are no where close to natural light. In natural daylight the same foundation shades were just slightly off, but even a foundation that is slightly off will look unnatural. I tried using different powders with this but still couldn’t achieve a shade that matched my skin tone. If you have cool undertones then you might like this, but if you have warm undertones then I definitely recommend getting a sample before committing just to make sure you get a good match.

I talked to a LOT of MAC artists about the foundation they keep in their makeup kits and the foundation I most often heard was this one, the Studio Sculpt foundation. I tried it for myself and understand why. It has a gel-like consistency that can be layered to obtain full coverage or it can be sheered out our blended with other products for sheer coverage. It takes a bit of time to get used to working with it, but the methods I use to apply this foundation are using a basic makeup wedge sponge (like the ones from the drugstore) or to use the MAC 130 brush and buff it in using circular motions. This foundation sets quickly so I work in small areas like my left cheek and forehead, then nose and chin, then right cheek. Once this sets it will not budge or fade. If you have good skin you can get away with just applying this on problem areas like the forehead and around the nose. This lasts all day on my skin and it looks natural. It is not matte but it is not shiny, it looks like skin. If you want a more matte look you can apply powder on top. I have used this on girls with both normal and dry skin and it works REALLY well. If you have oily skin, I definitely recommend using a primer underneath and if you are super oily, using MAC’s oil control lotion before the primer. The other thing I really like is that this comes in a plastic squeeze tube. It is sanitary because you don’t have to stick your fingers in a tub or the neck of a bottle. I also like that this easy to carry and travel with. It doesn’t weigh a lot like glass bottles and you don’t need a pump or anything. I love this and highly recommend it!

I spritz this on my face 3-4 times after doing my makeup. It helps set everything so my makeup lasts, and it also helps take away the cakey look of foundation and powder. It makes my skin look natural and clean....like skin. This spray is also refreshing and moisturizing. In the middle of the day if my skin feels dry I will spritz this on. I also like putting it in the fridge in the summer so I get a cool, refreshing feeling when I spray it on.

My very first lipglass was in the Viva Glam V shade, and 5 years later I am still hooked! I love the permanent shade selection and the limited edition ones, because you can find both sheer, semi-sheer, and opaque shades in just about every color and texture (shimmery and non-shimmery. These last a good 4 hours on my lips and look so glossy and juicy. The only thing I don't like is that these are sticky, but I live with it because glosses that are non-sticky tend to fade quickly. Also, these are great value when compared to other department store brands.

I really wanted to like this because I love Laura Mercier and I liked how these glosses looked on others. The shade I got was Baby Doll and it looked really pretty on, and lasted a good 3-4 hours on my lips. However, after wearing it a couple times I couldn't bear to use it any longer because of the strong vanilla taste. For about 30 minutes after application I could taste the Vanilla and smell it too....and it was awful! That was a deal breaker for me.

I liked this product but I didn't love it. The regular shadows from Stila are way more pigmented that this, so I was a bit disappointed. The shadows are smooth and do blend well, and the colors are very flattering for all skin tones, but I think the regular shadows are better.

I usually love all MAC products, but this was a miss for me. The powder is a nice shade, but there is glitter in the powder. It is not big and chunky, but when you brush the powder on the skin, you can definitely see more than just a shimmer....its glitter...and I felt like I was in junior high again. The only thing I can use this for is to add shimmer to my body, not the face. There are much better highlighters than this one so save your money.

I have tried numerous concealers from different brands and this one has to be the best one! It covers everything from under eye circles and blemishes, and it really lasts ALL day. When applying, make sure you blend it well, then set with a good powder (I like the Smashbox Halo one), so that it doesn't crease or budge. The formula is creamy and easy to blend, and doesn't look cakey. It really gives a flawless appearance to my skin. The only thing I don't like is the pump because it dispenses more than you need so you end up wasting some product. Still, I think the concealer itself is so fabulous that I would keep purchasing this.

This is my go to sunblock! It comes in varying level of SPF protection and they even have SPF 100 now!!! It is not super greasy like most sunblocks, it dries fairly quickly, but best of all it does not break me out. I use this mostly on my body but sometimes on my face and I have no problems with it at all. Oh and its so easily available and at drugstore prices, who can resist!

This is great to apply to the skin before foundation to great a dewy look, or to mix into foundation to sheer it out or achieve a hint of glowiness, to apply straight onto the skin as a highlighter, or apply to the body for a bit of a glow. My only issue with this is that it is hard to work with if you have golden or olive undertones to your skin. This product has a pink tint to it, so you have to work with different foundations to neutralize the pink. Otherwise, I like this a lot and I definitely recommend it!
