I just love this lipstick formula! I can't believe these are only $0.99 each! I have probably every shade they make but I DO have a favorite, and for a reason - Sheer Red. This is a great "steal" find as a dupe for a "splurge" lipstick from Clinique. Clinique makes a shade called "Angel Red" and its been popular for years. This shade from NYC is about as identical as it gets and is $0.99 compared to $15.00. I also think its a great introduction to red lipstick for anyone who has been a little leery of trying a red lipstick. The color is going to be good for basically anyone and its sheer enough not to scream "I'm wearing red lipstick!". Its also excellent on the cheeks as a cream blush, just make sure your skin isn't too dry/too matte before using it or, mix a teeny drop of your mositurizer with it when you apply. This is an excellent lipstick, great shade and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend and definitely will repurchase!

I got this product hoping that it would work for my fine lines without irritating my sensitive skin. So far, its been an excellent product that has done what it says it should do and hasn't irriated my skin or caused any breakouts. Within 2 weeks of using this, I could see a difference: my skin looked glowy and it felt and looked more lifted. After a month, my skin tone was more even and my fine lines have smoothed out. The serum has very little smell (the faint scent is pleasant), isn't oily and completely absorbs into the skin. I can layer my night cream or day cream on top without fear of break outs. My skin is combination and this seems to have balanced it out as well. I have had issues with serums and creams for aging skin. They usually irritate my skin or are so heavy, they cause me to break out. I only gave this product 7 stars due to price, which is hefty. I will keep hoping to find soemthing as effective but cheaper and if not, well I'll keep using this one. LOL

Okay, for several years now, I have been searching for my HG eye cream/serum, without much success. Thanks to this site, I did try one from MAC that was the best, until I tried this product. I am 44 yrs old, with super pale, sensitive, combination skin. I also have MAJOR allergies and my eyes get swollen and puffy from the allergies and just about anything else that will cause puffiness. Due to haviing such pale skin, any eye area swelling will cause dark circles and make them very noticeable. To date, no other eye cream has addressed all my concerns/needs for the eye area. I have had fine lines and crepiness on the eye lids, as well as the puffy/circle issues. I also need moisture. From the 1st application, I could tell this product would address the puffiness and the circles caused by the puffiness. After 2 weeks of use, my whole eye area looked tighter and brighter and on waking, the usual puffiness was significantly reduced. The crepiness on my lids was also significantly reduced and my eye makeup looked better and lasted longer. It also didn't irritate my sensitive skin either. After a month of use, I know this is my HG for the eye area. Now, lets talk price. Initially, I was shocked at the price for the tube until I realized its for 1 full ouce of product. In the past, I was paying $35.00 for 1/2 and oz of product and lasted me approx 6 months. So this tube will last me a year and save me a couple of bucks in the bargain. This is so well worth its price, and I NEVER normally say that about any product.

Let me preface this review by clearing up some misconceptions about semi-perm hair coloring products. First, this is a semipermanent hair color, meaning its not going to lift and change your existing hair color. So, if you have black hair, its not going to make it red. If you have brunette hair, its not going to make it blonde. Additionally, semipermanent hair color tends to come out much darker, especially after you've freshly colored with it, in order to keep the shade in longer as it fades in about 28 shampoos, so you may want to go a shade lighter if you are worried about a too deep shade or are stuck between deciding amongst shades. In order to get the best results, you need to understand this will work best if you are staying within approx 2 shades of your natural color. Any desires for a drastic hair color change really need to be made in a salon. All of that being said, this product is now my preferred semipermanent hair color product, even over my former fave- natural instincts. My hair is a medium brown with warm undertones, I used the shade "Truffle", which is a medium natural brown. The scent of the color is very similar, except lighter, to most of the L'Oreal hair colors. Once applied, the product looked like a melted chocolate bar on my head and the color result was a nice dark chocolate brown. I have some grays, approx 20% maybe? And this completely covered them which no other semi permanent product has ever done. Additionally, it rinsed out like a dream and my hair felt great even before using the after color conditioner that came in the box. Oh, and that conditioner left my hair super silky without it being weighed down and they give enough for several additional weekly conditioning treatments. My hair was exactly my natural color, all grays covered, was super shiny and felt in better condition that it was prior to coloring. This is a 10 minute color but the box recommended leaving it on for 15 minutes for resisitant grays so that is what I did. I was truly impressed with this product and would definitely repurchase it. I use the L'Oreal EverCreme Cleansing Conditioner to wash my hair and I have had very, very gradual fading and no staining clothes or pillowcases. Depending on what a friend might be looking for in a hair color, I'd recommend this one if it would fit their needs.

I love the wakeup makeup mineral powder foundation so I was excited when the wakeup line came out with more products. HOWEVER- this stuff was just awful! I bought the shade Rose and even on my lily white, fair complexion this hardly showed up at all. Its also fairly high priced for a drug store product. I highly recommend everyone pass on this product.

I've used this off and on for the past year and ahve decided that this product is just "ok". Its color matching abilities aren't as great as I'd like. If you're really fair skinned, you may find the lightest shade is a bit orange and deeper than you may want (this is my main issue). I used this over the summer and it worked but I know I can't wear this in the winter when my skin is paper white. It is very sheer in coverage, almost a tinted moisturizer without the moisture part. It did control oily fairly well and didn't irritate my skin or cause any breakouts.

I have this product in the shades Flushed and Coral Reef, which look very bright in the container but are sheer and give a healthy flush of natural looking color to the skin. I am very pale, sensitive and combination skinned and also 44 yrs old. These products are sheer enough not to overwhelm my fair skin, don't irriate my skin or cause break outs. They also last all day on my face, even through the exceptionally hot summer this year in the northeast. They also don't settle into my fine lines like other cream blushes have done and have no shimmer. All in all, I think these are probably the best cream blushes in the drug store. Now, all of that being said I only gave 8 stars since there's only 3 shades and the price is pretty high for a drug store product.

This is probably the "best" out of the bad lot that makes up the new crop of american BB creams. It seems the US companies think BB cream = tinted moisturizer, but I digress. LOL This product checks many of the boxes that most would want in an "all in one" type of product, which is what BB creams really are. It has 5 different shades, a higher SPF (SPF 30), is oil free and seems to have some radiance boosting to it so skin doesn't look "flat". It evens out the skin but is sheer enough so that its natural looking on the skin. The shade "light" is fair enough for my uber pale skin, so far it hasn't irritated my sensitive skin or caused me any breakouts. Additionally, its pretty affordable. All of the above being said, this is not a true BB cream in the style of the Asian BB creams so if you're used to those, than stick to them.

I wanted to love this, and in truth after tying their Partner's (Almay's) version, I expected to. However, this product tends to settle into my lines and pores, if used alone as a foundation (whichAlmay's didn't do). If I use this as just a powder, over a BB cream or foundation, it works better. All in all, I will go back to Almay's Wakeup Makeup instead of this product.

I have very fair skin and have had a real issue with all the new BB creams that have come out lately. This is the only one that actually matches my skin and gives some decent coverage. The primer properties smooth my skin and make the fine lines look less noticeable, as well as allowing for the rest of makeup to go on smoother and stay longer. I've only been using this for a week, so I can't yet comment on long term results. My only real issue with this product is the lack of an SPF. This won't be a summer pick due to that.
