I was a little skeptical about this at first because I bought it with the Glycogen Protein Balancing Shampoo by Aubrey as well. When I rinsed out the shampoo, my hair felt like wet straw. So I shook this stuff up, plopped it in my hand, and worked it through my hair. I let it sit for like 7 minutes just for good measure, but when I rinsed it out... ...no more straw!! So I'm not sure if the shampoo was really bad or if the conditioner was really good, or both, or if they were just made to work together but something went pretty well here. My money's on the conditioner. The only thing that takes some getting used to is the smell. It doesn't smell like honeysuckle; it doesn't smell like roses. It kind of smells like suntan lotion, probably because the main ingredient is coconut oil. Which is awesome for your hair anyway. So, look, if you have dry hair, you might as well give it a shot.

I guess the idea here is that whatever miracle molecule they put into this stuff, it soaks into your lips, then explodes to ten times its size when it comes into contact with water, thus pushing your lip's skin cells ever so slightly further away from each other. And it works too... a little bit. It's one of those emphasize-what-you-already-got deals, but it still creates a nice little confidence-boosting tingle in your lips that subconsciously makes you push your lips out a little bit more to make them look fuller. And it's pretty and glossy, reflecting light to make them look even bigger. So some of it is science, some of it is psychology, and some of it is light-based illusion. But seriously, who cares why it works, if it makes them seem even a little fuller! It's definitely a confidence booster. :)

Don't get me wrong, I love organic stuff, and I love a lot of the Aubrey products. This only kinda half-did it for me. It's got this sort of strange texture to it, like chunky liquidyness. It was kind of hard to spread around my scalp and lather but eventually I got it to work with me. When I rinsed it out, my hair felt like straw, but I figured that once the conditioner was in (I used the Aubrey Honeysuckle conditioner for dry hair) it would be fine. And it was, so at least they know how to make their products work together. But I wouldn't recommend using this without the conditioner.

Ok, so during the wintertime, my skin gets super dry (probably because I don't drink enough water during the day) and I get horrible cornflakes on my forehead and around my nose area. THIS solves it all. I first heard about it reading Julie Gabriel's blog, where she raved about it being the perfect thing for anyone's skin ever. So I bought a small tube (first thought, holy crap, it's expensive) and massaged it into my face. And when I say massage, I mean massage. This stuff is thick. It takes a while to sink in, but I've seen a huge difference in my dry, red, flaky, splotchy skin to smooth, quenched, pearly. And I loooooooove the natural factor. Two thumbs way way up. And yes, it's a bit pricey. But considering the fact that these are top-quality ingredients that you are feeding your body, and to be honest, a little bit of it goes a long way (I can use a pea-sized amount on my face) it's totally worth it.

Love love love this stuff. I love using all-natural/organic products when I can (some things you just can't get natural with the right results, like with hair dye, finding the right color. but I digress.) and lipbalm is a product that it's almost unacceptable to not use an organic/natural kind because it's so easy to make that way. Enter EOS: cute little soft plastic container, holding a large pearl of lip balmy wonderfulness. No artificial colors, smells and tastes like AWESOME. This is the other requirement I have for a lipbalm -- taste. I hate lipbalms that smell really pretty and then when you smear it on your lips, tastes like chemicals. I need sweetness in a lipbalm. The stevia offsetts this perfectly, with just a subtle hint of sweetness, so I'm not constantly licking my lips all the time and drying them out with saliva. And it lasts a while without being sticky. The lipbalm is made almost exclusively of oil: olive oil, beeswax, coconut oil, jojoba oil, shea butter, sunflower oil, all of which are really good for your skin too, btw. Sometimes I use it on rough spots on my hands and face. And with about an inch's worth of sphere-shaped lip balm, it makes for a good value too. You won't miss the $2 or $3 it costs. At all.

I've been experimenting with using creme hair removers for a while now. Veet burns me, Nair doesn't work. Other SallyHansen removers were mediocre at best. This stuff is awesome. The smell wasn't terribly off-putting. The texture is nice and thick and spreadable. The directions say 3 minutes, but it really takes more like 8 minutes for me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the green applicator leaf. I always hated having to try and rinse the stuff off my fingers, but the applicator makes it go on easy and come off just as easy (and thoroughly, too!) Just to give you an idea of how awesome this stuff is, I use it to give myself Brazilians. THAT is how gentle this stuff is. I wouldn't trust anything else around sensitive parts.
