I found out that medium brown means dark brown/black in the hair dye world, and ended up with black hair. I went to my salon and asked to have it lightened. Their only option was to heavily highlight (bleach) my hair and return visits to eventually strip my entire head! I ended up with black/white hair. It looked like those witch wigs for Halloween. I later discovered Color Oops and after 2 treatments had taken off the black myself! I'd progressed to Med. coppery brown with white highlights and felt I need to tone them down. Since the highlights were seriously damaged and I had used Color Oops I had to pick a hair color that was semi-permanent, a golden or natural tone so my highlights would not turn green, and 2 shades lighter than the color I wanted to be. When hair is porous it will GRAB color, so make sure if it's fried get 2 shades lighter. I chose Garnier Herbashine in Med. Natural Blonde. I admit I was scared. I was taking a risk with this hair color considering I have natural medium brown hair and these white highlights, yet it turned out FANTASTIC! I have no roots! I can't believe how this color turned out. My highlights turned the exact color shown on the box and the rest of my hair turned to a nice brown that was the same color from root to tip. I am unsure how this happened. My highlights were left in better condition and when I was rinsing this product out my hair did not feel like a wad of cotton like it did before the application. LOVE IT! This product will allow me to grow out my highlights without it being noticeable. I've had tons of compliments already. I'm sure considering what it looked like prior anything is an improvement. I've only had this color on for 3 days so I am unsure if it will last 28 shampoos. Regardless, I will continue using it till my highlights grow off and will re-dye if it doesn't stay the full 28 days. My advice: 1. Buy one to two shades lighter than what the box shows. (especially if you are wanting to only cover grays) 2. I think this color runs somewhat dark. If you hair is healthy this might not be the case. 3. This color does not lighten, you may need a permanent to achieve that.

I bought this in emerald. I've been trying all kinds of different brands and colors of eyeshadows since I am so bored with brown. I ran across this and decided to try, and I'm still on the fence. I have to use an eye primer to get this to stay. Once I get it on in the intensity it should be, it sort of poofs away. I wonder where it goes since its not on my cheeks or anything. I have tried this dry and wet, brushes, sponges, and things just aren't working out. I don't think maybelline will be on my list of eyeshadows next time. UPDATE! I'm mixing with contact solution a tip I found online. Looks Great!

Recently bought this and I'm not satisfied. Seems like I really have to grind in there to get any color so I'm thinking the pigment saturation isn't so great. Also the colors seem strange for my skin tone, hair color and such. Seems as though these would look better on a blonde or would be better suited for spring or summer? I also think I may be allergic since my eyelids sort of burn when I wear it, but that maybe from trying to get the color on. I'm still working with it though! UPDATE! I'm mixing with contact solution a tip I found online. Looks Great!

This is my favorite light coverage makeup. My fav thing about maybelline is that their foundations come in a color other than orange. I like a medium coverage, but for casual days this can't be beat! I also wish all foundations came in a container like this. I have used maybelline age rewind and the bottle is glass! It was also hard to get the last bit out with that pump. With this.. it's sitting upside down...settling...to the last bit!

This is so natural looking and feels nice on the skin. I had no problem finding a color, application is easy...but the only problem it's very light. If you want a medium coverage don't bother. This would be great for someone that wants a tinted moisturizer. Even though I like more coverage I still use this for summer, base for mineral powders, or just running to the store. A very nice product!

I have oily sensitive skin and this didn't work for me but it may for you. I love the colortones! yehhh no orange! However this burned my skin somewhat after application and didn't feel like it had ever completely set/dried. Felt kinda gooey to the touch? So I would use A LOT powder. The coverage was medium or higher so if you have things to hide this is great. Application couldn't have been easier. Since this is meant for older skin which usually equates to dry skin I'm not gonna grade this too harsh for feeling tacky to the touch.

I would have loved this eyeliner however It peeled right off my eye? In as little as 5min. after application I would notice areas lifting up from my eyelid like old scotch tape. When I would try to pick it off the whole chunk would peel off like tape, This was so weird, I didn't use moisturizer or anything, just this. Never had this experience before and it ended up in the trash :(. Otherwise I loved the color and application.

Why did this have to be discontinued! The pigment and colors were beautiful. My palette has disappeared, and I'm blaming it on the dogs! This didn't crease, lasted, blended...This will be sadly missed. rest in peace...sigh

The color for skin tones is great, not orange, which is why I bought this. Also I was hoping for oil control. This is a matte makeup and that is great yet it doesn't seem to last. Also the coverage seems light. I like more of a medium coverage. Even though I had all these problems I never threw it out and gave it another try when rimmel came out with their new primer. Once I use the primer and finish with a nice powder this stuff works.

I bought this over the summer since I was going to the beach. This stuff is the best waterproof eyeliner I've ever bought. Whatever is in this they need to use in the nail polish. I went swimming in saltwater, showered, went to dinner, and this stuff was still there in the morning! I bought brown/black and the color was great and not overpowering. I suggest you know what your doing with liquid eyeliner or practice a day before you plan on going somewhere since this has crazy staying power. A MUST have for a wedding or other cry fest event.
