I use this in the morning under my mascara. (I put it on with my "first pass" of skincare products, then do my hair, then put on my mascara about 15 minutes later.) At night, I use Rapid Lash which you are only supposed to use once a day. I use both products every day and have used them about the same amount of time, so I guess I don't know if one is more effective than the other. The DHC seems to be very mild and doesn't cause any stinging if your eyes tear up and some washes in (unlike the Rapid Lash). I am 47 and my previously pretty lashes had become little stubs. Now my lashes look like they did back in high school! I always have to wear mascara because the tips of my lashes are blond. But at least now I have lashes to put mascara on and they look great! The biggest complaint I have read about this is that it clouds up in time. I believe that is because you can't ever get every scrap of makeup on your lashes, so the makeup residue gets transferred back into the tonic bottle. (It is the same with clear brow gel.) It doesn't smell or seem be spoiled, so I just ignore it.
