I have the worst skin ever -- prone to breakouts but also starting to get fine lines because of all the harsh acne stuff I've used over the years. I love philosophy products so I tried this, and I have to say, it really improves the way my skin feels -- much more supple & soft. My favorite part is that it smells like Tang!

This really works

This is one of the only Mario Badescu products that I've has success with. I totally love it -- it makes my skin feel so smooth & it smells really great too. Definitely recommend this.

Lush Aqua Marina Calming Calamine Wash

Unique facial cleanser

I didn't hate this, but it wasn't the best thing I ever tried. The smell was interesting and the product itself wasn't bad, but I didn't feel like it was getting all the make-up and grime off of my face at the end of the day.

Lush Enzymion

Smells good, but my skin did not like it

I love Lush & I wanted to like this soooo much, but it really made my skin a mess. The plus side is that it smells awesome, but slathering cocoa butter on acne prone skin seems to be a bad idea.

Philosophy on a Clear Day h202 Hydrogen Peroxide Cream

Better than benzoyl peroxide

BP totally wrecked my skin, so I started using this product in conjunction with the rest of the Philosophy on a clear day kit. My skin isn't TOTALLY better, but it has improved. The key to this product is to remember that a little goes a long way -- if you put too much on, your skin will dry out & it feels kind of gross. A small amount is all you need & it'll last longer that way too.

Mario Badescu Skin Care Mario Badescu Botanical Facial Gel

Did not work for me

I have friends who rave about Mario Badescu products, but they really did nothing but irritate my skin. I really liked the way this smelled, but it definitely didn't do what it promises. You can get samples from MB, so I'd say try those out before you buy the full-size products.

Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 Acne Medication

Good for occasional use

I think this is good for occasional breakouts, but not for everyday use. I tried using it everyday for a while when I was having really horrible stress breakouts & my skin started getting really dry, flaky, and weird. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to avoid benzoyl peroxide.
