Cover Girl makes my least favorite drugstore brand eyeshadow. They lack pigment and staying power to the point where you really aren't saving money by purchasing a cheaper shadow since you have to use so much to achieve a look.

I agree that it left my skin shiny and didn't really act like other primers I've used. However, these primers are geared towards 40+ women and my clients with drier, more mature skin did have good results with this product. It may just be best as age defying for drier skins.

The lack of pigment, blendability, and staying power made me feel like I got what I paid for. I don't usually recommend drugstore eyeshadow anyway, but this is at the top of my don't list.

We sell Bare Escentuals products in the cosmetic and skincare boutique where I work. I'm not quite sure why so many women love this product because it seems that only half of the women who wear it, look good in it. The rest look obviously made up, mask-like, and quite shiny with a weird tint to their skin. The product is a bit heavy and adds a good deal of shine to oilier complexions due to the mica, while extra dry ladies accentuate their lines and dry patches with the powdery minerals. It does help mask Rosacea and scarring, but it does so with a somewhat unnatural finish. I do recommend this product for performance makeup. It's heavy enough and does help to give an airbrushed effect that is lovely from afar.
