In general, amongst the vast selection of hair styling products available, it seems that texturizers are one of the most difficult products to master. Unless for some uncanny reason you are a texurizing natural, or you have spent hours perfecting the art, texturizers are in truth difficult to work with. Many times the end result not being worth the effort invested. This seems to be true from the cheapest drugstore find to the most expensive product in the poshest salon. Sebastian Professional Microweb fiber is really no exception. Aside from the fact that it smells much better than many products out there (it smell like tropical fruit to me), it is quite similar to other-much less expensive-texturizers I've tried. Actually, this Microweb Fiber is probably the stickiest texturizer I've tried yet. So much so that I had alot of difficulty even fluffing my fingers through my hair, leaving strands of hair sticking together and losing all their volume, which is the exact opposite result you are trying to achieve. By no means, however, do I intend to write this product off. While I wasn't able to master the texturizing technique, this product is great for smoothing frizz and flyaways and creating a lustrous sheen that leaves hair looking elegant and polished. I achieve this by lightly running a small ammount through my hair when it's dry and then brush my hair out with a hard-bristle brush. I am always pleased with the end results.

I prefer light, sweet and airy scents. The kind that can be worn anytime, at any event, and with any outfit. I wouldn't say that Parisienne is that kind of fragrance. This perfume is described as having "notes of blackberry", but I seemed to smell more of the blackberry than anything else. That's probably why Parisienne is such an intense fragrance. It has been my experience that any product with a blackberry scent has been rather commanding, downright overpowering. Don't mistake me. It is pleasing enough. It didn't repulse me or give me a headache, and my husband likes it (but he is not picky at all when it comes to what I wear. I could spray myself with air freshener and he would think I smell nice). I just find it to be a little too intense and heady to really fit into to my everyday routine. To summarize, Parisienne is rich, woody scent that offers a pleasant enough fragrance experience, provided ou use it sparingly.

I feel like I'm raining on everybody's parade =(. When I tried this mousse I found the consistency to be very creamy and fun. It really does look like whipped cream! and I liked that unlike many mousses out there the scent was unoffensive, a pleasing and light somewhat sweet floral scent. I t made my hair feel very soft. But despite such praise I am afraid this mousse and I will have to part company. Firstly, I was rather dissapointed that it left my hair feeling rather bodiless. I even used it conjunction with a volumizing shampoo and hairspray and it sill seemed to leave my hair a little flat. As the day wore on, I found my hair feeling a little dirty and weighed down. After I got home I checked for ingredients that may be the cause of this, and sure enough, I found that this mousse in fact contains petrolatum AND mineral oil (as also evidenced by the small breakouts I woke up with the next day high up on my forehead on my hairline, which was a dealbreaker for me. Thank goodness they weren't on my face, then I would've REALLY been upset!) This is a nice styling mousse, but if what you're looking for in a product is a little extra oomph-and no pimples, I would consider looking elsewhere.

The only thing that I remotely liked about this product was the lather. Once you put it on your skin the smell is off-putting. To me, it smells like chlorine. Don't ask me why. I think Burt's Bees has struck out again. The product claims to be tear free but the first (and only) time I used this on my baby (a happy, good-natured four month old baby boy who does't mind bath time), I got a tiny bit in his eye while washing his face and it left him screaming for twenty minutes. If I had been using Johnson's and got a little in his eye (which I have) I wouldn't have had to worry. When they say gentle they mean it. I 've read some reviewers go on and on about how great this product is because it is a baby product that doesn't have harsh chemicals or pesticides (pesticides?!) in it and I just roll my eyes. My baby's PEDIATRICIAN recommended Johnson's. I think I'll stick with baby products that are DOCTOR reccomended, thanks.

I am pretty picky about haircare products. I can't stand sticky foams that leave my hair crispy! That being the case, I feel like I am always taking a gamble when I try out a new volumizing foam. But I was very happy that this product turned out to be a good buy! The foam is very light and not sticky, it is easy to distribute through my hair and it doesn't leave my ahir feeling like straw! Oh, and don't forget the volumizing! It provides great lightweight volume! One of the better products that I've used! One of the nice things too is that it doesn't really have a smell, so no perfume interference!

L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Explosion Carbon Black Mascara
Not the best product for my mascara preferences.
I'm the kind of girl who isn't too fussy about her mascara, I can just brush on a couple of coats, curl, and that's all I need. I know that there are alot of girls who crave 360 coverage of every last lash. If you're one of those girls you may like this product. But like I said, I'm not. I find the application a little putzy. The first few times I applied it my lashes stuck together because of the odd-shaped brush, it took a couple of days to get the hang of it. Don't get me wrong, the mascara itself is great. It makes my lashes look super long and smudge and flake-free, I just don't like the applicator, I find it uneccisary. If coverage is waht you're looking for, you're better off getting a mascara with a "minibrush" applicator. *A really bizarre thing about this product is the paint on the bottle. When I first got this, the bottle seemed kinda sticky. I though it was a little weird, but I didn't think much about it. Then I realized that it was the paint/writing on the outside of the bottle that was sticky. Well, today as I was applying this stuff, the paint actually started smearing off onto my hand! It was gross! It was all over my palm (and a little on my face!) before I realized what hda happened! It was hard to get off because it was so sticky. Isn't that strange?

I first fell in love with this back in junior high when I was first experimenting with makeup. My best friend introduced it to me. The reason why this lip balm is so great is that, along with moisturizing like a good lip balm, it also leaves a universally flattering shade to your lips- a warm rosy/neutral shade that leaves you mouth looking plump and pouty ;D! It's not sticky, tacky, goopy or greasy at all and it lasts a long time. The only very sad part is that I have much trouble finding it in stores in the recent months. =(

I think I am guilty of underestimating Maybelline products. Usually I am not a big fan of them. However I always come back to this blush after I've strayed! I tend to stay away from powder blushes because they feel too cakey to me. I love using cheek stain and stick-creme blush but many times applying the two smears the newly applied foundation beneath due to all the blending that is needed with them. But with this blush I can have the best of both worlds! The application is very easy since the cosistency is so light and fluffy. Only a light touch is needed for blending so I never worry about smearing my makeup. It as a light shimmer that Iove. If you don't like shimmer, I would saty away from this product. One thing, make sure to keep the lid on tightly any time you're not using it. It is so moist that it tends to dry out (thus becoming thick and pasty). I learned this the hard way.

I'm not so sure if this product gives me volume, I haven't really noticed. That probably means that the product is lacking in giving volume for me. But it IS really great at removing product build-up. It makes mt hair feel very clean.

The shades are shimmery, just the way I like them, with a generous ammount of pigment. Although I do find the product itself rather dry, so the application can be rather uneven and a bit of a challenge. But once you perfect it the look is great. But the part that is most unfortunate is that this product makes my eyes sting. If even a small ammount touches my eyeball, my eye starts to burn and become watery. I have two shades and this happens with both of them, and it's really weird because my eyes are not the least bit sensitive to products. Needless to say, I always have to be careful how I apply this product.
