Rimmel London Max Volume Flash Mascara

Solid, Bolds lashes but isn't too lengthening

At first, I was not a fan of this mascara and I thought you had to have a certain type of lashes to be able to wear it and have it look good. However, once there was less ink/forumula in the tube I realized that was partly wrong. It's not completely wrong because I believe that this mascara cannot be used with curled lashes. If you are looking for a "Serena Van der Woodsen lash look" then this just might be your mascara. It can clump, like any other mascara, when used too much. Defenitely work quickly because if it dries and you try to add more then it will just be a mess that no one wants! Tip: If you prefer a curled look, then apply a different mascara to your curled lashes and then (after that mascara has dried) add a swipe of the Rimmel mascara to it. This will ensure that it wont flake because the ink formula is so strong and sturdy. Warning: Don't apply to bottom lashes- Ever!

  • Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup

The formula itself is relatively watery but surprisingly pigmented. I don’t see Revlon advertising Nearly Naked as a water-based foundation, but the first active ingredient listed is “Aqua” so I’m comfortable saying that it is and that’s the best part! I love foundations and BB creams that are water-based because they’re forgiving when my skin is feeling kind of dry and cruddy. Nearly Naked definitely had some slip and slide on the back of my hand and so it’s very lightweight when it’s on my face. The trade-off is that water-based foundations tend to be sheer and so they don’t offer the best coverage, but I think Nearly Naked does a pretty good job. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the coverage is, but it definitely won’t be enough to cover darker hyperpigmentation scars, beauty marks or severe dark circles (i dont have any of these, but I could tell when the tone of my skin was acting a little goofy, and this wasnt enough coverage for that). I’m most impressed by the lovely glow that it gives the skin once it’s on. Some people have mentioned that it gives a dewy finish, which I can understand, but unfortunately don’t see. I think it has more of a satin finish; it gives a nice sheen that I didn’t expect at all. My skin looks effortlessly luminous, and this i LOVE! The biggest con I have about the product is the same one shared by reviewers all over and that’s the lack of a pump. Pouring the foundation out isn’t a terrible experience, but it is an inconvenience because I’ll occasionally pour too much and then have to fiddle with it to get it all back in the bottle. I suppose that a pump would have driven the cost up a bit more, but Revlon’s heard for years about people complaining that the beloved and more expensive Colorstay foundation could use a pump so I don’t really know the reasoning behind not having one. It’s not a deal breaker for me, but it might be for some. Another negative is that the foundation is not transfer-proof even after powdering. I haven’t worn it long enough to give an accurate approximation of how long it lasts, but I would say 5-6 hours and it was fine. However, if I wiped at my face with a tissue or blotted with an oil sheet, some of the product definitely transferred. I feel like this is a thing that tends happens with water-based foundations so I wasn’t too upset at the discovery, but it could be bothersome for people who have a tendency to touch their face. ALL IN ALL, I actually really love this foundation. The formula, coverage and finish at this price point is just out of this world. The things I find unsatisfactory about it are small concerns for me and I’m just ecstatic about how glowy it makes my skin look. Least amount of effort required! If you haven’t already gotten a bottle, you should give it a try!

  • Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup

I love this foundation. In the heat (has been worn in up to 118 degrees) it is the only foundation that wears beautifully all day. I have certainly used some that look better initially, but I look for longevity too. This foundation has it all. I actually think that it looks better an hour or two after application than it does freshly applied. It seems to absorb and meld with my natural oils and just look almost flawless. Wears all day and still looks great when I get home in the evening. I don't see this on my phone, fingerprints on papers, transfer, etc... It does require decent cleansing to remove, but all makeup should have that anyway.

  • Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Normal/Dry Skin

Was looking for a cheaper and BETTER substitute for my MUFE HD foundation, I think I may have just found my new everyday foundation. My MUFE wasn't looking so good anymore: sliding off, accentuating large pores and dry skin areas .. I read some reviews about colorstay here (thank you everyone) and decided to give it a shot although I was really reluctant- my skin is verrrry acne prone and recently I have been going through a breakout Pros: -It's been 5 days of wearing colorstay and i swear it has actually HELPED my acne. My skin is looking really good. -I don't have to use powder to set it -It really does last all day (and even in the shower) -It comes off easily with makeup removing wipes and my proactiv scrub -It's inexpensive and readily available -Color matches really well (I use buff in MUFE i was 115/117) Cons: -No pump! And I like pumps for hygienic reasons. But apparently there is a new one out with a pump.... -It does smell like paint when it first comes out of the bottle, but that goes away pretty quickly -It can look a bit cakey/un-natural.... so far I've been applying it with a stippling brush so maybe its just the application technique I'm using. I need to experiment more with this. In short, while I love the look when it FIRST goes on, Colorstay beats HD because it lasts more than a couple hours, doesn't require powder, won't break my bank, and seems to help clear up my skin.

  • Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream Skin Perfector with SPF 30

When it comes to a BB cream, you expect light coverage, but you're okay with that because the more you wear it, the less you need make up. This is the thickest BB cream ever and has the best coverage. Seriously, compare it to that drippy Maybelline BB cream and you'll see what I mean. It is the ONLY BB cream i have ever tried where it actually has coverage to be proud of. Plus, if you feel like it doesn't, its great for building up. However, make sure you blend this well for it does have an orange-y undertone. And ONE last flaw, it does not have staying power and can cake a little if you build it up too much. So i recommend a primer and powder- always!

    Almay Wake-Up Undereye Concealer

    More of A Brightener. . .

FIRST OF ALL, the only reason why I said I would not buy again is because I rarely buy products twice. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice product and covers undereye circles. However I just feel that it dries under the eyes, ad that is sooooooo unacctractive. It makes me look tired and old so you MUST apply a a lot of moisturizer/primer before you apply the product. And do not put powder over it.

    Almay Wake-Up Liquid Makeup

    Wouldn't buy again

Foundation is a must-have make-up product. It brightens your face, reduces redness and easily can change your appearance from drab to fab (like any make-up)! So it's very important- and sometimes the product isn't even the problem! However, in this case, it very well could be. I got a shade too light, and maybe I would've liked it more if I had picked the right color, however, there were not many options. So I had my hopes very high, I even went to 2 different stores out of my way just to get it. And need I add that the coverage is weak-ish. I got this after I had used Revlon Colorstay and I missed having a pump. But I would take a no pump, all-day, full coverage foundation over a light coverage, pump, drying foundation that only lasts for 2-4 hours! understand everyone has their oponions, but I think this foundation is much better suited for the winter.

  • Maybelline New York Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer

This product is just your average concealer. It can conceal, if used the right amount. And brightens your under eye area quite well. However, this concealer does run out quickly and does not stay on well. It is meant for someone who wont use it that often.

  • CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara

This mascara doesn't clump, doesn't flake or look dull! It bolds my eyes and doesn't give me too vampy of a look. It is great on the bottom lashes and I just adore the brush! The tube can dry up quickly, mine still works well and I've had it since july (it is now September)! Even though the formula can dry up, it still stays on the brush quite nicely. This mascara stays on fantastic, but is also easy to remove at night. I recommend this product who wants a natural but lengthening mascara.

  • Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup

This foundation is great! I do believe that it helps my skin and it is definitely buildable! It covers well and I prefer to apply it with my hands, then I go over it with my beauty blender for an airbrushed look. It lasts a good amount of time and doesn't cake on me. However, don't use this under your eyes!
