got a sample at sephora. trying to make it last!!

this one surprised me. i did not expect to like it. i thought it was going to be girlishly sweet. butterfly in the name just wasn't a big attractor for me. however, it was a free sample, so i gave it a fair try. it is fresh, sensouous, warm and gourmand, all at the same time. The colours of the butterfly on the packaging refer to the different strengths inside: Red (parfum), Blue (Eau de Parfum) and Pink (Eau de toilette).

Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia

refreshing in a citrus mermaid mint kind of way

If you look at the model in the ads for this fragrance, imagine that she is a mermaid who has just rinsed her hair with lemon juice and swished with a mint mojito. As she dives back into the glistening cool water with the sun on her tail fin, you catch a wave of her fragrance. Acqua di Gioia has captured this acquatic lemony mint that is refreshing without being sweet. It is light but it lingers. I would wear this in the warmest days of summer or on vacation in very warm places, as it is quenching.

Olay Total Effects Wet Cleansing Cloths

Gentle and thorough

There are times when I am just plain tired or lazy or both. I was looking for a disposable cloth cleanser that would actually clean my makeup off and cleanse my skin. Every one I tried either burned my eyes when I tried to remove eye makeup or made my skin red after using because you had to rub so hard to get the makeup off. These are perfectly moistened, and contain just the right amount of cleansing ingredients to do the job. And then you throw the used cloth in the trash! Perfect for travelling, or when you are a guest at someone's house and don't want to get makeup on their pretty wash cloths!! And since it's not technically a liquid, you can free up some of that precious liquids space in your little baggie when you fly. Thanks, Olay!!!

Estee Lauder Youth-Dew Dusting Powder Box

Such a Classy Scent!!!

I have always loved this fragrance, and the Dusting Powder is just right for the warmer months of summer. After reading a biography of Estee Lauder, and learning what a revolutionary product the Youth Dew line was at the time, it's even more exciting to wear it now. I love that it can be "vintage" and sexy modern all at the same time.
