    MAC Powder Blush

    Blushbaby

I use this blush in Blushbaby. I have pale skin with uneven redness around my cheeks, and this works perfectly to even my cheeks, give my face a nice lift, and make me look flushed. The powder goes on easily and blends well. I have breakout prone skin, and this doesn't bother me at all. It's not the longest lasting blush, so for longer lasting color, I apply BeneFit's BeneTint under my foundation and apply this over it, so there's some color underneath as the blush begins to wear off.

    Great Color

I have full, highly pigmented lips and pale skin, so I tend to stay away from dark or glossy lip products. I use MAC Plushglass in Ample Pink, which is a perfect solution to my lip issues. The color is lovely and slightly mutes my bright lips, allowing me to focus attention on my eyes. The color works well with my pale skin. It's not crazy glossy, not sticky, doesn't need to be reapplied every five minutes. I also love the subtle vanilla flavor.

    Kai Perfume Oil

    My First Favorite

For many years, I didn't wear perfume at all, and when walking through a department store, I would run through the perfume section. Kai was the first perfume I really fell in love with. The gardenia is strong and clear, clean and refreshing. There's a definite green note to this. It's floral without being too "girly," and whenever I wear it I can't stop sniffing myself. If you're looking for a pure floral scent that's not perfumey or chemical, this is the one for you.

    Marc Jacobs The Perfume

    Amazing Gardenia

This is one of my favorite perfumes and a must-try for gardenia lovers. Gardenia is one of my favorite fragrances, but it's frequently too sweet and smells like cotton candy on my skin. This fragrance is perfectly balanced -- just a tiny bit sweet, with a tiny bit of cedar and musk. It smells clean and classic, and I always get lots of compliments when I wear it.

    Medium Coverage Moisturizer

This tinted moisturizer has medium coverage and wears well throughout the day. I have oily skin and was impressed that it didn't smear off my face. I have pale, freckled skin with some redness, and this did appear too yellow for my skin tone at first, but once I added a light dusting of powder over it, it looked great. I think this could work for a wide range of pale skin tones with a little powder adjustment.

  • Hampton Sun Privet Bloom Eau de Toilette

This is a perfect summer scent -- a delicious blend of light floral, aquatic and grassy scents. The scent was strong enough on my skin that I wanted to keep sniffing myself, but definitely not overpowering in the way that many strong florals are. The scent had pretty mediocre straying power, lasting on my skin for about 6 hours. This is a great fragrance to wear to the beach or a summer party, but you may want to layer it over some lotion for staying power.

  • Blinc Kiss Me Mascara

I bought this mascara out of curiosity, and because I have oily skin that tends to encourage mascaras to run and stick in the fine lines under my eyes. Kiss Me mascara, with its little tubes that envelop your eyelashes, is a miracle for people who are looking for a mascara that won't run. This stuff does NOT budge. You can cry your eyes out and still look great. My only complaint is that the shape of the brush makes it difficult to get well-separated lashes, and you have to work very quickly with a lash comb to avoid the spiky look. The removal process was a little confusing at first, but the tubes slide off easily if you apply a wet washcloth to the lashes for a minute or two before applying pressure.

    Bourjois Yes To Volume

    Pretty Lashes

This is an almost perfect mascara. I've tried lots of comb-on mascaras, and this one actually works. The comb gives you perfectly separated, clump-free lashes. One coat will give you a lovely natural look; two coats will give a more glamorous look. My only complaint is that this mascara does tend to run a bit by the end of the day. If only they'd make a waterproof version, it would be truly perfect.

    Lush Shower Gels

    Softly-scented Skin

If you're looking for luscious fragrance in your shower, LUSH shower gels are perfect for you. For a sexy, feminine experience, Flying Fox has a rich, slightly sweet jasmine fragrance that will leave your skin smelling great. The Olive Branch is a milder citrus scent that won;t linger as long but is more moisturizing. Both gels are a bit more watery than the typical gel, and while they still lather like champs, use caution when squirting them onto your shower poof, as it's easy to squirt out more than you need.

    Lush Soap

Yin and Yang: Mud Flats and Lily Savon

These two soaps are total opposites but both very worthy of trying. Mud Flats is a great soap for men -- it has a strong herbal smell that's not even a little girlie. The mud does wonders for any type of body acne, and the scent is crisp and refreshing. Lily Savon is a completely feminine, creamy lily-scented soap. Both soaps will leave your skin soft, never tight, and both lather well.
