I have long been searching for a nude lipstick to suit my needs, and I feel this one does do the job. I cannot speak for the other colors, as I have not personally used them, but researching other's reviews (not my personal experience) has shown that sometimes some of the lipsticks have differing textures, some of them sounding undesirable and not worth the investment. They do not look like the models posted on the site (those pictures are heavily photoshopped), so you may want to view swatches before making an investment. I have also read about the lime crime controversies, and it seems this company has had some scandals worth reading about, especially if the ethics of a company concern you. Despite the scandals, I decided to try for myself, as I have been long searching for a nude lipstick I can be devoted to. Coquette seems to have the most positive reviews, and is nude and highly pigmented, qualities I was looking for in a lipstick. But I would say I am pleased with the product. I enjoy the holographic kitschy unicorn design and big clunky tube- but it may not be everyone. But the lipstick itself is thick, pigmented, requires few applications, and has a slight and pleasant vanilla aroma. Here are some things I have found to increase the product experience. Exfoliation of the lips (a simple sugar scrub will do), then Chapstick, then a lip primer, and finally use a lip brush of your choice to apply the lipstick to your lips. This will ensure a perfect application. But don't get me wrong, I also apply directly to the lip, and it looks great too. I have fairly pale skin in the winter and become much more tan in the summer. Both yellow and red tone, and this nude compliments both my pale, tan, and in transition skin color. If you are looking for a good nude, then this is it. I have not found a dupe, but dupes can be found online from other reviewers if it is out of your price range. Otherwise I would suggest this one if you are looking for a safe start to the Lime Crime lipsticks.
