I am as hairy as a teddy bear. My mom might find that cute, but I don't. I can deal with stubble on my legs and other parts of the body where the Sun don't shine, but when you have a 5 o'clock shadow on your face, around the clock, you need help. So, I went ahead and got help! I started laser hair removal on my face. I was warned that stubborn little hairs might grow back in between sessions, and indeed they did. I was instructed not to pluck these hairs but to shave them. YES. SHAVE. Like a man, SHAVE. I was mortified. I did as they told me to do. After a couple of days I started to notice in-grown hairs on my face. It was very painful. My sister told me about an in-grown hair solution that she had been using for her bikini area called Tend Skin. I was hesitant to use it on my face, my very sensitive face. Nonetheless, I decided to give it a shot. Fast forward to 9 months of laser hair treatments and SHAVING, without a single in-grown hair or razor bumps on my face. Tend Skin really saved my skin. The application is simple; just a few drops on a cotton ball and dab it on the affected area after shaving. I took one star away because the smell isn’t exactly pleasant (It’s a very medicated smell). That chemical-y smell does fade after a few minutes. I removed one more star for being a tad overpriced. The small 4oz bottle retails for $20. For someone who shaves as often as me (everyday), it can become a bit pricey. Though, if you find it on sale at TJ MAXX or Marshalls, you luck out! Tend Skin works as a preventive measure for in-grown hairs and razor burns as well as to treat a problem area. YAY Tend Skin!
