I have been using the anti puff version of this which is amazing, but when the store was out I picked up this version. Although I don’t see any lasting brightening after application, this does allow you to skip the concealer, even if you are cursed with very purple under eye circles. I don’t know of any product that looks natural and covers 100 percent if you have very dark circles, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It is moisturizing and depuffs as well.

I LOVE this body lotion. Rachel Zoe wrote about it in her daily newsletter this past winter. It has a light citrusy scent and really is amazing for dry winter skin. I also keep a small tube by my work desk as a hand cream. This is my new go to body lotion for sure.

I really like these lip balms. The come in a few varieties, have spf, and smell wonderful. They are great to wear over lip liner, lip stick, or allow but not super hydrating for nighttime wear.

I so wanted to love this stuff after getting sucked in by the infomercials (I KNOW I KNOW!). I have thick medium length hair, and to use enough products I went through a lot of product pretty quickly. I found my hair to be soft and shiny after using the products the first few times, but after a few days my hair became weighted down and just greasy looking. The instructions say if your hair is greasy then you haven’t used enough, but I don’t know how I could have used any more to be honest. I tried mixing this with the tea tree as well, and although this was better it’s not worth messing around with at 30 dollars a pop. This is an overpriced conditioner in my opinion that doesn’t do well for oily skin. I will say that it makes an excellent (although pricey) dog shampoo. My terrier has a dry coat and really does well with this. Not to mention he smells heavenly after.

I’m so in love with the MAC lipsticks, although I didn’t know how great they were until I went back to other brands. Their payoff is great, and the satins and mattes are great for everyday wear. The vanilla scent is wonderful.

I must admit I felt the same as some of the other ladies that commented on this product, but after sticking with this primer I’m sold on it. The primer is very waxy and can be a little rough if it’s cold, but I found the trick. You have to apply this with one or two swipes and then use your finger to melt it in a few times around. I typically apply a lip liner on the full lip followed by a Mac Lipstick usually, although with just the liner you’ll end up with a beautiful stained look that will stay almost the full day (so long as you’re not one of those people that rub their lips together all day). It’s got SPF as well and won’t dry out your lips. I would buy this again, but would be open to trying others.

This is my go to product every day. I never skip this step before applying any shadow because it prevents any creasing or fade throughout the day no matter how oily your skin is. The price is very good. I really love that they introduced a large version of this now, and I also love how they developed new colors for the line. The original is still my favorite, and is excellent for brightening up the entire eye area. I have not found another eye primer that compares.

I have acne prone skin and found that only Bare Minerals foundation did not make my skin break out for years. I’ve been finding as my skin changes that powder foundations start to look cakey. Based on a few You Tube recommendations I decided to try the Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation. The first thing I will say is that very little is needed for good coverage. The rose ivory shade is such a perfect match to my pale skin its ridiculous. The coverage is also pretty great. Here are the critics. It’s pretty pricy at around $45 a tube. You may need to invest in a decent make up sponge for a good application that won’t soak it up. Also I found that even with the lightest application it tends to settle in the creases on your face. I don’t have wrinkles but it will sink into the natural folds as you smile and have facial expressions throughout the day. Finally, I’ve been disappointed with transfer and the lasting ability of this foundation. I find if I am having a breakout around the chin area the foundation will be completely gone by the end of the day, and this is without any excessive activity. That said I still gave this an 8 because it is pretty amazing.
