I never would have imagined myself wanting a matte white shadow, but when I went on a matte eyeshadow kick recently, I decided I needed a good all-purpose matte highlight shade. I love Urban Decay's matte eyeshadows, and Yeyo turned out to be just what I wanted. Yeyo is white white and absolutely matte, but it's silky, without even a trace of chalkiness. I agree 100% with the reviewer who remarked that Yeyo makes you look like you've had a good night's sleep. Apply Yeyo on the inner corners of your upper lids, and it will pop your eyes wide open! I'm very pale (NW15), and Yeyo subtly but effectively "lights up" my face, anywhere I put it. The packaging is fine, consisting of a sturdy mirrorless flip-top compact designed to resemble a subway token. I'll always want this one on hand, I think. Got this as a birthday present and was quite excited to use this. I have tried UD matte eyeshadows and they are amazing when you don't want tons of glitter on your face. I expected this to be a really nice pigmented white but sadly it hardly shows up on the face. I've learned to use this shadow as a brightener/highlighter on the highpoints of the face though such as the brow bone, down the nose, and above cheekbones and it does give a very subtle brightening effect in those areas :). Love the texture and packaging. I love this eyeshadow. It's rich white and silky smooth to the touch - it's Urban Decay quality I guess. Totally matte with a beautiful soft finish. I've been using it as an under eye highlight on my fair complexion and it instantly brightens me up. I find most other highlights are just too yellow or orange or shimmery ... plain white is just what I needed. I'm very cool toned so for someone with a warmer base, this might not be as wonderful. I absolutely adore this eyeshadow. I love using it as my brow highlight, because I usually use a shimmer on top of my lid and in my crease, and I like the way the different textures compliment each other. First off, the quality of the shadow is unreal. It truly feels like velvet. It glides on with absolute ease, and doesn't look chalky or cakey. The other benefit is that it's buildable, so you can apply a light later, or add a lot more for a more intense color. It is a staple of mine, and I will go to it about 5 times a week. Amazing shadow! UD make the BEST shadows of any company. They are highly pigmented and really last. Unbelievable. They blend well and have a good selection of colors. I've been a big fan of this brand since I used their colors for my wedding makeup. They blend beautifully and last all day, but you need to use quality brushes. The colors are unique and vibrant. Midnight cowboy is my favorite.

I strayed away from this and came back because i realize it was the only mineral foundation that was natural and glowing without the sheen sparkly look. I got this is warm sienna i'm an Nc42. I have used BE before and started getting allergic and itchy..that was when my quest for mineral foundation started. Jane iredale is the best!!! I have used liquid foundation such as Estee lauder double wear in shell beige, diorskin in sand 031 (a tad too light), Mac pro-long wear (looks like a mask), Bobbi brown long lasting foundation in honey (Too orange and slip off my t-zone). I recommend this mineral foundation to anyone who wants glowing skin without the mask-like look. I began using this product in the spring. I was experiencing oily T-zone & moderate breakouts with my Prescriptives that I had been using for years. Tried BE but hated how it made my pores seem even larger. A friend whom I had always admired how her makeup looked told me about JI & convinced our local hair salon into selling it. I am soooo glad!! This is HG for me. Does not make my skin feel oily, my pores do not look large, my skin appears smoother & has quit breaking out! (except for maybe 1 or 2 during that time of the month) I use the TM first, then the AB & finish with the Pom Mist! Love it!! I apply this with the "Handy" Jane Iredale brush using small to medium circles. Amazing base came with a complimentary POMMISST Hydration Spray which smells great and somehow makes my skin feel like I'm wearing no makeup at all. I have light, freckly skin and I use the color bisque which counteracts with my pink undertones. So happy to have found this :) My one and only complaint is that for the price of all the Jane Iredale products you'd think the packaging would be nicer! The big revelation for me was that once it was on I felt clean and bare faced but looked soft and healthy! The application with the loose is tricky, you need to have the proper brush and you almost have to pat it on in downward strokes but once you get the hang of it, you can layer it to get the coverage you want. It never looks dry and I have very dry, mature skin. I invested in the D2O Hydration Spray that the salon recommended to use once the makeup is applied, to 'set' it and it does, you just spray your face damp and then pat any spots that need evening out with your fingertip. This makeup line is very expensive but since you don't use much I think it will last a long time. I'm undecided about buying it again, purely because of the cost, I may try other loose mineral makeup that's available out there to compare but that said, it is a lovely looking makeup that makes your skin look wonderful and healthy and you don't feel like you're wearing makeup, that's a big plus for me! This foundation gives pretty good coverage, will give a glow to your face, and is long-lasting.

my favorite natural eyeshadow. The color is true, it lasts all day, and really flatters my coloring. I have the trio in Triple Cognac. The lightest color makes a great overall wash, the medium a good crease color and the darker brown a nice outer V color. They apply smoothly and give a consistent color. I always use primer, so that helps. Having switched to all natural eye products, these shadows are my favorite. I used to have very red, irritated eyes all the time and making the switch to Jane Iredale shadows, Korres Mascara, Pur Minerals liner and Bare Escentuals or Pur Minerals primer has made a huge difference. I switched to mineral cosmetics several years ago in the interests of wearing safer products. I started wearing Bare Minerals, but I hate the packaging. It's is so wasteful and hard to control how much you use. I started buying Jane Iredale because there was a spa near my job that sold it. From the minute I switched, I have loved the quality and just can't go back to anything else. The shadows I have used are Oyster, a nice shimmery champagne color, Peach Sherbet, a very pretty color for every day, the Pink Bliss trio, the Oyster Supernova duo, and several others. It's hard to go wrong with any of these. I have not had trouble with them breaking apart more than with any other brand. I wish they included a little more product for the price but oh well....I would highly recommend if you are searching for something of a better quality than Bare Minerals. This is a good eye shadow that doesn't have harsh chemicals / toxic colors in it. I bought two trios - Cognac and Cloud Nine. Both combinations are great for every day wear (using two lighter colors) and night (using all three for a more dramatic look). The packaging is a plastic round container with three triangular eye shadow dishes inside. It doesn't come with a brush but it's not a big deal for me as I use my own brushes. It seems to me that the amount of the shadow here is very small compared to trios from other brands such as Chanel and Dior. But I can live with that as I know that none of it will get wasted or go bad after a while (eye shadows don't have a long life) since I use different colors every day. The price is reasonable to me as the quality is superior and the colors work very well together. I can't comment on staying power as I always put eye shadows on top of Urban Decay Primer Potion. With the primer underneath, it stayed on ALL DAY!! I didn't have to worry about creasing or anything like that and I have very oily lids! Bottom line - wonderful and I will definitely repurchase!!! I think that the triple eye shadow is great! I first used it when I was getting my makeup done for my wedding over 2 years ago. I have purchased this (and other Jane Iredale makeup) ever since. It goes on evenly and stays on your eyelids all day. It doesn't disappear like other eyeshadows that I've used. The Pink Bliss is my favorite and goes well with my green eyes.

I have had this palette for ages and use it off and on. It's a really great color combination and looks great with my light skin and blue/grey/greenish eyes. I don't know if I'm so affectionate towards it (I would refer to it as my favorite palette if asked) because I stole it off my sister or because it was one of the first palettes I ever owned (yes, mine is that old), but I do think it's great quality/colors. I won't describe them because some of these reviews have done better than I ever could. I don't have any exact dupes for any of them in my stash and it's very easy to carry around/has yet to break. I get some fallout if I don't use a good brush, but it's minimal. I have even debated buying another just to have it, but have so far managed to talk myself out of it. Wow- these colors are gorgeous when worn together!! This is the 3 shadow palette from Smashbox called "Strobe"- The first color is a shimmery champagne/cream color which really brightens the inner corner or the highlight of your eye- like someone mentioned previously, it reminds me of MAC Phloof. The second shade is a really gorgeous silvery-blue which really brightens up my eyes and doesn't look goofy- I've never thought of wearing blue e/s because I'm not very daring when it comes to make-up and I'm usually very neutral, but this blue paired with the 3rd color (I'm about to mention) looks so perfect together!! The 3rd color is a beautiful, cool, taupe/brown. I also don't wear a lot of browns because they tend to be very warm- Definitely not the case for this shade. It's cool and goes perfect with the blue. I was playing with this palette when I first got it, and just did a quick job with very little effort, and it came out looking awesome!! I used the blue in the middle/lower eyelid, then the brown in the crease, and then used the highlight color for the inner corners and below the brow area. It looks so gorgeous and professional, and I swear it was effortless! These shadows are nicely blendable and creamy. The shimmer is perfect for that eye-catching look, but not too over-the-top or glittery in any way. Very sophisticated. Sleek black case comes with mirror and a dual-ended brush- one with the typical shadow sponge applicator and the other end with a slanted bristle applicator. I can't even begin to describe how much I love this trio. It's AMAZING. This would be my first smashbox eyeshadow, so I was excited about it. It's pretty expensive, but it's definitely worth it! You won't regret buying it, especially if you have almost white skin like me, because these colors complement my skin-tone =] I usually avoid shimmery eyeshadows, but this one drew my attention and I just had to buy it. These feel so SOFT when you apply it on your finger, almost like silk! The colors are easy to apply and easy to remove, they're long lasting and give you a smooth, warm look. The only bad thing about this would be the packaging. It's a beautiful palette, but the case catches so much dust or eyeshadow and makes it look ugly =[ However you can wash it off with just a little bit of water, so no worries =P Would DEFINITELY repurchase. the one I have has a shimmery cream, almost white eyeshadow, a shimmery gray and a shimmery black. I absolutely recommend the set. It looks really natural and I love the fact that it the usual brush it comes with has a special brush you can use to put on the black eyeshadow as an eyeliner. i love smash box!

I just want to say right off that the only reason I’m giving these 9 stars is because I wish that the color range was a bit wider… I tried these in “Dashing” (917) because it was the only duo with one sort of neutral color (but still a bit too “warm” for me) and black, which is always good to have because even if you don’t use black shadow, it can always be used as a liner with an angled brush, when you need a subtle outline… But I didn’t actually find the colors I was looking for and the color selection was very poor, in my opinion… With that being said, the quality of these eye shadows is amazing… They go on very silky and smooth, almost creamy. Their texture is so silky that they are extremely easy to blend. It just feels like you can apply only a tiny little bit and if you have enough patience you could blend this color out all the way to your eye brows if you wanted to… Not that anyone would actually do it, but this is how blendable these shadows are… And this goes for both, the "bright shadows" series and the "matte shadows", so my reviews for these two might be a bit repetitive... Both of the colors I got in my duo, the light sort of pinkish nude and the black are very pigmented and very easily to pick up with a brush because of their soft and almost creamy texture… I would recommend these especially for those who like the “smoky eye” look because you could achieve a perfect smoky eye with just two colors. When I used the black in my duo for that look, it looked like I had applied three different shades of black… I was so happy with the result – especially because it took me half the time it would have taken to actually use different shades and blend them all in… So yes, if you can find the colors you are looking for – I would most definitely recommend these… ;). L'Oreal HiP eyeshadows are by far the best drugstore shadows available! These matte ones are so wonderful! They last forever on the lid, the colors are amazing, and I love that they have no shimmer or glitter!

I recently read an article about MAC cosmetics and how it began as a humble venture. Now available in more than 70 countries and worn by virtually every runway model and celebrity, the company is huge (it was snatched up by Estee Lauder in 1998). MAC accounts for more cosmetic sales than any other non-drugstore brand. Why? MAC tries to be "all things for all women," a brand that is not intimidating, non-judgmental, and makes using makeup as much fun as possible. The company doesn't want to be stereotyped as preppy, sophisticated, or outrageous. It wants to defy description--and it does! With its mind-blowing number of eye shadow colors, there are certainly several to fit anybody. More overwhelming? MAC shadows are available in a enticing range of finishes--frost, lustre, matte, satin, veluxe pearl, and velvet. How can a woman NOT fall in love? Choosing MAC shadows is very much like visiting a Sherwin-Williams paint store, where you stand with your mouth agape at what is available. The hues have such subtle gradations that you may find yourself comparing two for half an hour. With my addiction to eye shadows, I practice the ultimate in self-control when I visit a MAC counter and make sure I research their online site thoroughly beforehand so that I know what I want. If I don't, I may be late on our mortgage payment! How does one not fall in love with the deep, true pigmentation, the plush, deluxe texture, or the all-day wear? My only problem is that I want to work with many of these shadows at once. I want to combine "Vapour" (velvety peach-pink with a violet pearl undertone) with "Steamy" (bluish-green) or possibly "Handwritten" (a chocolate so deep and inviting that you don't know whether to bite into it or wear it!). The price of $15.00 per shade is reasonable for the quality you get, but it's too much to buy all that I want. That sounds hedonistic, and perhaps it is. One trick I've learned with these wondrous gems: You can use brushes to work with them, but you can also simply employ your finger to press the outstanding tones onto your eyes for a gentle, ethereal look. However you choose to use it, just do it! (Whoops, I'm stealing your thunder. MAC eyeshadows are my favorite. I love the wide palate of colors-- they have colors available that I haven't even dreamed of. They are very blendable and wear a fairly long time. Best of all, though, is that each one lasts forever, and doesn't fade. I usually have to force myself to throw them out before I'm done using them.

I tried the moisturizing shampoo and really like it a lot. It suds very well, especially for sulfate free, but to admit, it makes me wonder why. I have tried so many drugstore and high end sulfate free brands, and none have lathered as well as this! For those that are interested, there are also USDA organic ingredients used, plus no animal testing, and I think it is vegan friendly as well. I just like that it feels so nice! You can tell how moisturized it is when it comes out of the bottle. I wish I liked the conditioner version just as much. Really leaves hair silky and smooth. Finally, shampoo that delivers on its promises. I LOVE the fact that it is sulfate free, and the ingredients are, for the most part, all natural. It lathers well and seems to do a decent job cleaning. It doesn't strip my hair and really seems to smooth it a lot. I have noticed significantly less breakage since using it for about a week. Will continue to wash with this!

If you are looking for an all natural shampoo this should be your first choice. For awhile now I've wanted to switch to an all natural shampoo, because the sulphates and other chemicals have been making my scalp itchy. However all of the "organic/earth friendly" products I've tried left me hair either dry, unclean or a complete tangled mess. After doing some research Beecology came highly recommended for being earth and hair friendly. I had my products within a few days of ordering them with a bonus gift from the company. If you're new to sulphate/paraban free shampoos do not panic with there is barely any foam. Just keep working it through your hair. The shampoo rinsed clean leaving my hair soft and nourished. I followed up with the beecology conditioner. Both products left my hair looking and feeling healthier. Great! Natural ingredients that really work. Love this product and many others. They really are an outstanding value.

I ordered on a whim because all the other shampoos I've tried on my daughter's hair just seem to strip it and make it brittle. This was so great for her hair I'm ready to order a lifetime supply! For healthy happy hair, this is the way to go! The smell is amazing and it gets my hair nice and clean without leaving it feeling matted or dry. My hair actually feels softer and silkier when I use it. The ingredient list is highly natural which is also plus for me.

it is extremely gentle and leaves your hair texture nice and soft. I have coarse hair that is dyed (otherwise I'd be at 50% gray) and I wouldn't say that this is my favorite shampoo, it is a really good shampoo that is dependable. I definitely don't agree that the results are worth the price, but I think that if I'm paying this much for a shampoo it should deliver shine, softness, and smooth my frizzies, and it only delivers on the softness and semi tames my frizzies. I don't have the conditioner which could be the problem, however I do have the oleo relax and I do get better results when I use the two in conjunction. It leaves hair healty looking without weighting, or having to wash too often. And Leaves hair shiny and smooth. I very highly recommend it to everyone.
