  • Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Normal/Dry Skin

After doing some intensive research on Revlon ColorStay Makeup with Softplex, I decided to try it out. I thought it couldn't hurt since there were many great reviews for this foundation. I have really oily/dry and acne prone skin and really haven't found anything that has great coverage or staying power. This foundation has a good consistency and stays on all day! It didn't get rid of my oily skin problem, but since the color stayed put, I really didn't mind my oily skin too much. I just blot it with rice paper once during the middle of the day and I'm good to go for the rest of the night. I definitely blot less after using this foundation. Usually, I blot 3 to 4 times/day. Now it's just once and my skin doesn't get that redness that you get with acne or the cold/wet air outside during the winter time. The foundation does dry up fairly quickly so I suggest using a foundation brush with a little bit of foundation at a time to cover your face. Also use a primer to smooth out skin first. The perfect combination.

  • bareMinerals Prime Time Brightening Foundation Primer

I am in love with this primer! It goes on silky smooth and smooths out all my acne scars and dry spots. I think it's even help keep my skin moisturize because it acts like a sealant over my face lotion. It helps my foundation glide on. I just put an extra layer over really bad dry spots and it disappears when I apply foundation. It is pricey for the tiny little bottle that it is. But definitely worth every penny. Cons: It doesn't completely keep my skin from being oily over time. But does prolong the oiliness. I don't think anything will every stop my skin from being oily. I just some blotting sheets.

  • Palladio Oil Absorbing Rice Powder

After reading all the great reviews on this face powder, I decided to give it try and if I didn't like it, it didn't cost all that much to try. Boy was I surprise with this little loose powder box! First, the smell is delightful, second, my skin felt like silk and third, it keep my oily complexion at a controllable rate. It didn't completely keep my oily acne prone skin from being shinny all day, but instead of having to blot my face 3-4 times a day, I only do it once in the middle of my day now. I don't have to reapply which is a big plus. My skin just looks like it's glowing and even all day even with my very shinny T-Zone. No redness either. For the price, I think the quantity and quality is pretty good. I don't agree that the box is too little or the there isn't enough of a supply to last a while.
