I am surprised this straightener does not have better reviews on this site. I found great reviews on Amazon, where it is now only $15! I was a bit skeptical going with a Conair appliance. I never had much success with their hair stylers, but this one turned out to be a winner, and in my opinion, this is a major steal. I have very long, waist-length wavy hair that is usually unresponsive to heat styling. I never imagined my hair could become pin straight. This straightener definitely comes close. The wide plates are really smooth (there is no snagging) and make it really fast and easy to straighten my long hair. I usually use the hottest heat setting and it works great. The comb attachments make it easy to guide the hair in the straightener. Perhaps the biggest drawback is the straightener's wideness. It makes it difficult to get the wispy hairs along my hairline. However, the advantages far outweigh the negatives and I don't believe there is a better deal out there than this straightener.

I am naturally tan. That is, everything besides my legs that are sickly pale in comparison. I meant to pick up the Dove version and accidentally got this. I don't regret the purchase at all. After about a week, my legs were actually very close to the color of my arms. It gave me a completely natural tone (all of the self-tanners I have tried in the past made my legs look orange. It especially looks odd when I'm supposed to be naturally tan!). I have heard of others who are a lot paler using this and getting naturally tan results. I am not rating this any higher because the scent is terrible and it does take a while for the color to build up. Otherwise, it is a great deal. No streaking! I will probably be re-purchasing if I ever need to give my pale legs a boost.

This seems to be a revolutionary product. I had converted to rubber brushes after trying my first one by Avon, and then Max Factor Volume Couture. Great Lash and Voluminous worked terribly for me, so I was ready to go back to rubber brushes. I think it is great with volume and doesn't clump at all. It also keeps the definition of the lashes allowing them to look longer. I don't think I will be experimenting with mascaras for a while...

I lusted over this for months when I first started getting into hair appliances when I was 12 or 13. There are already plenty of negative reviews on this, so I figure I don't have to elaborate too much. Let me just say, it has metal plates. That should be enough of a cue that this will leave hair frizzy, if not damaged. Mine came with flat metal plates, fuzzy plates to "smooth" hair, large crimper (as shown), small crimper (also shown), and one that had dots on it. The larger crimper worked okay, but the other ones were terrible. It's also very heavy and clunky. I don't understand why this is still being sold. Conair should come up with a more modern, efficient product to market at young pre-teens.

I have been an exclusive waxer for about three and a half years. My starter kit came with this Creme Wax and it has given me no reason to look for alternatives. It works wonderfully. My skin is relatively sensitive, but I have coarse hair. This stuff works flawlessly. I can use it on my legs, arms, underarms, or face without a problem. It might even help condition my skin because it never looks dry after waxing. I once made the mistake of using GiGi's Hemp Wax figuring that GiGi's products would be universally great. Baaad idea. I will never stray away from this baby. It receives my highest regards.

I had been using GiGi Creme Wax for almost a year when I decided to pick this up from my local beauty supply store when they were out of stock of the creme kind. Horrible idea! Using this was by far the worst waxing experience I have ever had. It was really gooey and left red areas on my skin from the pulling. It was also a lot more painful than the creme wax. I ended up returning this to the beauty supply store. There's no way I was going to do that to myself and my skin again. Do yourself a favor and pick up GiGi Creme Wax instead. It's made for sensitive skin, but it has the power to remove even the most coarse hair. You cannot go wrong.

So far I have reviewed Conair straightener and curling iron, both of which I loved. I didn't luck out with this hairdryer. I was hoping that it would transform my undefined wavy hair into something more structured. I have tried several different techniques and none of them have reached me to satisfying results. Perhaps this blowdryer is best suited for people with tighter curls. Whatever the case might be, my hair did not benefit from its styling.

Okay, so I have never been a fan of Conair until recently. Their hair appliances seem to be a hit or miss. In my younger years, I played around with curling irons by several different drugstore brands. They all gave me the same result: flat hair by the time I walked out of the door. I've had hairdressers tell me my hair was hard to curl. You'd never be able to tell with this curling iron! I can curl my long, waist-length unruly hair somewhere in just over 20 minutes. I don't have to pack on the hairspray like I used to. Because of the smooth tourmaline finish on the curling iron, my hair also gets a smooth, soft finish. But best of all, the curls last all day! I would definitely recommend this curling iron. Results will probably vary, but I only have good things to say, and you can't beat the price.
