  • TRESemme Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo

I really don't know about all these rave reviews; this product is so chalky (probably due to the clay) and even the smallest spritz gives hair a dull, whitish cast and an icky, stiff texture. Not a fan at all; Psssst is much much better and is around the same price at most drugstores. Skip this.

Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller

De-puffs, feels cool; not a miracle

This little roller ball gadget comes through for half of its claims; it did reduce puffiness under my eyes and even on my eyelids after a night of crying (don't ask). But the reduction in dark circle action? Nada. But hey, at 10 bucks a pop (or so) it's worth it; much more convenient than cutting up a cucumber each morning.

  • Revlon Doubletwist Volumizing Mascara

How can this be so bad. I feel like Revlon was trying to capitalize on the whole plastic channel bristle thing (a la Chanel's Exceptionel de Chanel; which rocks incidentally) and failed miserably. The brush picks up way way too much gloppy pigment and smudge smears it all over your lashes and lids. No separation, no volume, no length. Just mess. Save your money!

    Neutrogena MoistureShine Gloss

    Great all-around gloss

When this gloss first came on the market Neutrogena created a phenomenon. This was the first quality drugstore brand lipgloss; it's moisturizing, non-sticky, light and contains many skin-loving ingredients. The shades are also very flattering and to-the-moment. It has held up over time and is a product I can always fall back on; many other drugstore cosmetic companies developed their lipglosses after Neutrogena's model so thanks to this gloss there are many more very quality ones available at affordable prices.

  • M.A.C. Lipglass

Moisturizing, but feels as if your lips are wrapped in cellophane. Thick, sticky... ick. Skip this one. Especially due to the high price tag.

  • CoverGirl LashBlast Length Mascara

    CoverGirl LashBlast Length Mascara

    Part of my potent cocktail...

This mascara is superb. The formula is high quality and performs beautifully. Not only does this mascara lengthen lashes it leaves you with virtually NO clumps no matter how much you apply. I use the original LashBlast (volumizing, orange tube) first to thicken my lashes (mine are pretty fine and light) and then follow with an application of the lengthening formula to separate and add length. These formulas are great, and this particular one is the Holy Grail of separation in my opinion. Love them! And you can't beat the price!

  • CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume Mascara
    10.0

    CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume Mascara

Best 8 bucks you can spend on mascara...

I love this mascara, I really really do. Maybelline seems to be the reigning queen in drugstore mascara, but I don't really see the pull (except for the Full n' Soft; I like that). I never would've thought that Covergirl would produce a product, let alone a mascara, that would become my go-to. But this is it. This mascara thickens and separates beautifully; no matter how much you pile on. And it still looks natural enough for work. Just to clarify, I use this volumizing formula and follow it with the LashBlast length and that is my potent cocktail; the LashBlast volume thickens and volumizes and the LashBlast length separates and lengthens. Seriously, this is a power couple that works just as good as any high-end mascara (and believe me, I've tried just about all of them). Now to try the LashBlast fusion...

    Sebastian Microweb Fiber

    Good, but short lived

This stuff is pretty good as a basic, non-waxy, light pomade. I used a little dab, rubbed together in my palms, on the ends of my layers. It didn't leave my hair sticky or greasy and added some nice separation and definition, but it didn't last long. It isn't much better than any other professional quality pomade I've tried.

  • Sebastian Whipped Creme

    Sebastian Whipped Creme

    Soft, shiny waves...but no definition

The first thing I thought when I dispensed this product was, "Wow! it really does look like whipped cream!". That was fun. This mousse really does make your hair soft and really shiny without making it look greasy but it lacks hold and doesn't add much definition. It also doesn't add any volume. I'm not sure what hair type would benefit most from this product, but I do like the softness and shine I'm left with; it would be a ten if it had some better hold.

    Benefit Erase Paste

Pretty good, but not a miracle product...

This is supposed to be a life-changing, all-purpose product. Mmmm. Not quite. This concealer is creamy and moisturizing and does a pretty good job of concealing dark circles but is not a miracle product. I like it, I will continue to use the rest of the jar since I purchased it, but will search elsewhere next time I'm shopping for a good concealer for my dark circles.
