I am a sucker for little frivolous beauty items that make me reminisce about my younger days, it's true. I love bright nail polish and don't think I'll ever get over lipsmackers. When I saw this nail polish at the store I HAD to have it. It looked different from typical glitters; much more opaque and more like a "carpet" of shimmer rather than pieces of glitter. I picked up the "spectrum" shade (I think it's the one pictured) and gave it two coats. PERFECTION. Smooth, beyond shimmery perfect, fun color. I painted it on three days ago and this stuff is tenacious (the glitter probably has a lot to do with it), let me tell you. I picked up the "DVD" shade yesterday and can't wait to try that one out as well. So fun and a great price; the quality is really good.

L'Oreal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Concentrated Shadow Duos
Good idea, but doesn't deliver
This is supposed to be more concentrated with higher pigmentation. I think the "drugstore" started to catch on to why their shadows usually pale in comparison to more "luxury" brands and tried to improve upon this and still offer their products at an attractive price point. Good in theory, bad on delivery. I don't find these shadows to have much more of a higher payoff than any other regular L'Oreal shadow or other drugstore brand. Plus the awkward color pairings ensure that you'll have to buy at least two kits to find two complementary shades you can wear everyday and not just to a costume party. And after all that it tends to add up ($14-18) and still is nowhere near an Urban Decay or Lorac shadow. To get quality you have to pay for it especially in eyeshadows.

I don't know why, I can't put my finger on it, I'm not really astute with those "this and that undertone" and "this and that note" descriptions (with perfumes or wine for that matter) but this scent just has the special something. It's fresh, light, and amazing. I love the men's cologne much better than the women's eau de toilette and can identify it if someone walks by and is wearing it. Since I have worn it and loved it for years, too, it has really pleasant olfactory memories for me. : ) Love.

I am NOT a perfume person. Not really sure why, but many perfumes tend to give me headaches or make me itch and I tend to be pretty low-maintenance overall so literally spritzing something on is too much work for me to do and something I will forget time and time again. Sometimes, however, I want a little more scent. I want to feel girly, or I'm going on a date with my husband, or whatever but I need a little something extra. This is that something extra for me. It is light, fresh, and lasts quite a while (not all day, I mean, it isn't a perfume). The scents are sophisticated and crisp, not overly sweet or cheap-smelling. Each one is perfect and the price is right.

I really didn't see many results with this product, maybe a little additional shine and softness but nothing a good conditioner couldn't do. It's not worth the extra step or the price for this product. It has potential, but doesn't quite deliver.

I read this superbly glowing review in a magazine a while back when these products were only available online through Walgreen's (now they are ubiquitous; and what's with the saying "yes" to every freaking veggie and fruit under the sun?) and being the absolute helpless product junkie I am I just had to try it for myself (I'm pretty sure it was one of Jean Godfrey-June's features in Lucky; I swear, that chick can talk me into trying anything). Okay, it was okay, but I was underwhelmed. I have fine, curly hair but even this felt too light. It detangled my hair and left it slippery soft when wet, but the moisture didn't last through heat-styling. Hey, I tried!

I don't know. I loved the scent at first but now it's somewhat cloying and it doesn't wow me on performance either. It is exactly the same Herbal Essences product it's always been and nothing more. A good, basic, perfect for "normal" hair shampoo. Eh.

I don't know; I love the smell, I love the silky feel, but it doesn't really leave my hair much softer or shinier. I think I am expecting too much out of this maybe, but when something is called "triple" anything I expect results times three. So sue me. This did not deliver despite it's superlative claims. Too bad.

Used this flatiron for years and years now and I love it! Gets my hair pin-straight, soft, and shiny-- quick. It was totally and completely worth the price as it is an investment; you'll use it for years. The shape even allows you to do waves and curls. Great appliance that is truly ceramic (you can read about the material content on their website). Love it.

Another miss for Benefit. They really should spend their time developing a select few of their standbys and give up trying to create every little "miracle" under the sun. Really, how many products can you use??? If you used everything in the Benefit line it'd take you 5 hours to get ready. This product cannot be used under makeup (nothing like a primer; waxy, flaky, horrible), cannot be used over makeup (will smear, smudge, and un-set everything you did prior), cannot really be used at all. It just looks cute. C'mon, Benefit, it's time to purge your line of all these unnecessaries and revamp.
