I bought these figuring "hey, I've liked all the other versions of Venus with replaceable blades, why not try these?" But no, these are AWFUL. The shave isn't close at all (it's not even close to being close). Plus the smell bears a strong resemblance to commercial bathroom cleaners. Worst part? Even though I couldn't get a good shave, it DID manage to nick me in several spots (something I only rarely did with any other version of the Venus). Honestly, I may not finish the pack.

After looking for what feels like forever for the right blush, my sister introduced me to bareMinerals. So I tried their blush. Wow! I can't believe nobody told me about this sooner. The color is great, the coverage is good - not too heavy or too light and it lasts long. Everything I've ever wanted in a blush. Plus it even has a really nice texture. I'd give it a perfect 10 if it weren't for the learning curve in figuring out how not to make a mess when loading the brush.

Does it stop blemishes as promised? Yes. The first thing in forever to do THAT and it does so without drying out my skin - a decided bonus. Does it keep my skin polished and free of early signs of aging just like it promises? You bet. So why am I not *completely* happy? I like to keep my skin care down to as few steps as possible and this one absolute MAKES me take the extra step of at least eye makeup remover. Not that this is a bad thing, I suppose. At 40, I guess the extra moisture and all isn't bad for my eyes. Still, I'd rather not *have* to do that. If that doesn't bother you, it might rate a 10 for you. For me, the cleanser has to settle for a 9.

It removes all hair - not just the fine stuff! I admit it, thanks to PCOS I have some whiskers on my chin. Most home wax kits won't remove them - and what's the point of waxing if you have to go back and tweeze? The Nair Salon Divine Wax Kit removes hair of all textures in the areas where it's applied, though like any wax it can take a bit of practice to get the hang of exactly what timing and texture works best. Thanks to not needing a warmer or strips, it's a great value. I just have one complaint - for a body wax kit, one spatula isn't nearly enough and you'll have to hunt down a beauty supply store to buy more because many drug stores don't sell them. Which means unless you know where to find extra spatulas and are willing to go to the trouble, you may end up with more wax than spatula.

I'm allergic to something about mainstream anti-persperant/deodorants, so I *have* to use the stuff without aluminum. Tom's of Main is the only brand I've found that even pretends to work. However, as others have mentioned, if I'm active or it's warm or anything else it going on that might make me a little extra sweaty or potentially in need of more deodorant protection it's a very good idea to apply it an extra time or two during the day because once in the morning usually won't quite handle such conditions. Still, an extra application or two beats scratching like a monkey with fleas so I like the product a LOT anyways.

One small caveat - beware applying to chapped lips. Something about the scent can cause a bit of an unpleasant tingle if the lips are more than slightly chapped, learned that the hard way. Otherwise, I LOVE the product. It lasts a long time, the smell really is great - not too sweet or over powering, just gentle and pleasant. The colors are all wonderful. They last a long time for a lip gloss. I'd have to say great value for a drug store lip gloss!
