after much debate & sniffings, this was my wedding day smell. you know, a new perfume you buy that you wear for the very first time on your wedding day so that every time you wear it afterwards, the scent takes you back to that wonderful day. yes, i'm a suck. yes, this perfume smells more lady-like & tasteful then i will ever be. best thing of all was how absolutely over the top generous the saleswoman was. she ran around grabbing samples for me & threw in a free (gorgeous & heavy) compact, small notebook & samples of the body lotion & sugar scrub. scoresies!!

i know lip gloss. i own buckets & baskets & drawers & totes of them. it's a minor obsession. my lips felt like an upper east side goddess in this stuff. the sparkle is more subtle than pre-teen mall & it's a lovely design. i'd buy 'em all if i had a trust fund.

so darn expensive but so darn luxurious. don't know if it's all in my head, but my fine lines did look plumped & filled in. highly recommended.

i was SO excited to buy & play with this stuff. unfortunately after multiple uses i just can't get behind it. i'm really fair & trying to use this stuff as a blush ended up clown-like no matter how little i used or how ferociously i blended (which ended up just irritating my cheeks) on my lips it would settle comfortably into all my lines and make me look old. i adore most benefit products but this was just a huge let-down.

i was so very excited purchasing my first nars eyeshadow (a gorgeous sparkly medium blue paired with a neon-y yellow) unfortunately it was the classic example of lovely to look at & impossible to apply. despite careful repeated applications the color on my eyelids was a far cry from what was in the compact. & for an extra kick in the pants all the glitter was splashed down my face. disappointing. the weird thing is i refuse to throw it out, so there it remains sadly loitering in my makeup bag beside its more popular friends. sorry nars shadow, i REALLY wanted to love you!

i like gimmicks. the teeny tiny black tubes in the sink at the end of the day made me smile. it stayed on solidly & i've recommended it to every bride i know. unfortunately it is too expensive to always be snugged in my makeup case.

i purchased one of these lovelies for my bridesmaids to share. they dunked into it repeatedly & happily. they were probably just glad i didn't make them wear neon-green taffeta. it's super shiny, doesn't smell gross & best of all i kept it after for me. ha ha!
