YVES SAINT LAURENT PARISIENNE BRITNEY'S WHAT'S HOT AND NEW BEAUTY REVIEW I have recently tested out Yves Saint Laurent latest perfume creation, Parisienne. I have to say that I LOVE the design of this bottle. It looks like a perfectly cut, flawless pink diamond which is a brilliant choice for a woman's fragrance (diamonds ARE a girl's best friend you know). WE'LL ALWAYS HAVE PARIS Parisienne takes your senses on a whirl wind, sexy, romantic rendezvous to Paris, France. This perfume is exactly what I would imagine walking down a quaint french rue in the evening would be like. The floral scent reminds me of a street side vendor who's cart is full of the days freshest cut flowers The hint of sandalwood and musk helps bring out the sensual side of this fragrance. Parisienne is an ultra-feminine fragrance that wraps your skin in its beautiful floral aroma. I must be honest and admit that at first I found Parisienne to be a little strong. It wasn't exactly love at first spritz. However, as the day went on I had fallen hard for Parisienne's charms. PARLE VOUS FRANCAIS? Not fluent in French then let Parisienne do the talking. This fragrance says that you are feminine, sexy, adventuresome and confident. It is sweetness with a hint of sophistication and where innocence meets intrigue. Parisienne has notes of violet, peony, patchouli, Damas Rose, sandalwood and musk. OOOH-LA-LA! Why do I wear perfume? That's easy! I wear it for my husband. If he hates a perfume then out it goes. He happens to LOVE the way Parisienne smells!! Evidenced by the fact that he kept sniffing my neck and telling me how nice I smelled all day long! So yes, Parisienne is a definite keeper! BRITNEY'S WHAT'S HOT AND NEW BEAUTY REVIEW THE OUTER FRINGE L'Oreal Paris has done it again. My first mascara crush was L'Oreal Voluminous now I have fallen head over heels in love with their newest mascara masterpiece, L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion. This mascara has taken my short, stubby, dinky little lashes to all new, unheard of lengths. I have unbelievable length, definition and I have found new lashes that I never even knew I had. It is all most like false lashes in a tube. (Can you tell that I am a little excited about this product?). The true genius behind this mascara is the brush. SMALLER IS BETTER The brush from the L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara is a small ball with soft, tiny bristles all around it. This allows you to apply mascara to every single teeny, tiny, almost invisible lash you can find and it even coats the lashes that you didn't even know you had, thus creating long, defined "fan like" lashes!! L'Oreal describes their brush as a "Flexi-Globe" that lets you apply mascara from every angle possible. This mascara is great for all eye shapes and sizes because it "grabs" and separates each eyelash and then evenly applies a smooth coat of mascara root to tip. The result, highly defined, longer looking, fan-fabulous lashes! I also love that L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara contains Pro-Vitamin B5, jojoba oil and palm oil for conditioning so my lashes get a little extra "lash lovin" while looking great! BRIT'S NIT PICKS I had no "nit picks" with this mascara. This mascara goes on very smooth and even. I had no clumps, flakes or smudges and because of the shape and size of the brush I had no "over spray" on my eyelids or below my lower lash line (I hate when that happens!). L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara will be available in stores this November for $9.49 (a total bargain!) Also, just as an aside, I will be placing this mascara in my Beauty Mark on my blog. This is my area where I put my choices for the best of the best beauty products.

BRITNEY'S WHAT'S HOT AND NEW BEAUTY REVIEW CAN'T "MAKEUP" YOUR MIND? Too dark, too light, too much yellow or too much pink. Picking out the right color of foundation to match your skin is not as easy as you think! Too make it worse, the lights in the store where you are trying on the foundation distorts skin and makeup colors. So what you think is your "perfect match" turns out to be totally wrong for you. I can't tell you how many bottles of foundation I have brought home only to find that they didn't look anywhere close to my natural skin color. Believe me I have a box full of "makeup mistakes" sitting in my closet. THINKING NOT REQUIRED L'Oreal True Match liquid makeup takes the guess work out of choosing the right shade of foundation. L'Oreal has a True Match foundation match card that allows you to pick your perfect shade. Simply hold the card up against your arm and what ever color "disappears" is your "perfect match" (simply genius!). My True Match color is Nude Beige. I like to apply liquid foundation with a sponge because it goes on easily, it is easier to blend and conceal and by not using my hands I won't be transferring any pimple causing bacteria to my face. L'Oreal True Match gave me all day, natural looking "goof-proof" color. It also minimized my pores appearance and easily covered all my imperfections (hey, nobody's perfect!). I also like the fact that this foundation contains an SPF of 17 that protects my skin from sun damage. Till then! B.

L'OREAL SUBLIME BRONZE LUMINOUS BRONZER SELF TANNING LOTION
FAUX GLOW I love using self tanners to get myself a beautiful tan. It is the safest way to tan especially with all the BAD news that just came out over tanning beds. I recently tested L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Luminous Self Tanning Lotion and for the most part I like this product but as with all self tanners there are a few pesky issues. THE BOTTOM LINE ON L'OREAL SUBLIME BRONZE This self tanner has a fresh cantaloupe and pineapple scent. It wasn't until about an hour later that I detected a VERY FAINT "self tanner" smell from this lotion. In all honesty, the "self tanner" smell disappeared a little while later, so it's not really a big deal and it is FAR less than most self tanners! One of the things that I loved about this self tanner is that it instantly gives you a caramel kiss of golden color (not that horrible "orangy" color) that gradually develops into a "believable" tan. I applied the self tanner daily for 4 days until I achieved my desired color then I reapplied it twice a week to maintain my tan. I also applied this self tanner to my face and I had no streaks, "oragnyness" (I don't think this is a real word!) or pimples and with the power of Vitamin E my skin was soft. Lastly, I love how fast this self tanner dries. BRIT'S NIT PICKS I found that the L'Oreal Luminous Bronzer has way too much sparkle for me, I looked like a Disco Ball Diva. However, a lot of the sparkle did wear off by the next day. This product claims that it is streak free. I don't know that I would say that. I am pretty good at applying self tanner and I noticed that I had a few "uneven" areas on my legs, nothing major but they were still there. All that said, I would definitely purchase this product for myself. I liked the natural color I was able to achieve and I love the fact that this product does not have that strong "self tanner" smell. Thanks B. from britneysbeautyblog

BRITNEY'S WHAT'S HOT AND NEW BEAUTY REVIEW Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair EYE has all the 24 hour eye protection and repair that you need in 1 convenient tube. One end of the tube contains the AM formula which hydrates and protects the delicate eye area with an SPF. The other end contains your PM formula which treats and repairs wrinkles. All Revitalift products contain anti-aging Pro-Retinol A which helps speed up cell turn over and yep, you guessed it, it also reduces the size and depth of wrinkles. But wait, there's more! Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair EYE also contains a Fiber Restoring Complex which basically helps reinforce and regenerate the fibrous network around eyes. The benefit of this complex is that it contains two key ingredients that allows for the production of elastin and collagen (the stuff they use to plump your pucker). Okay, now that we got the "how it works" out of the way, let's talk about what matters most. Does it work? I tried this product out on myself, the thirty-something and on my mom, the sixty-something ( I didn't give away your EXACT age mom). Here is what we found. The 30 something says, "I love that this eye cream goes on easily and doesn't feel greasy." I noticed that my eye area was softer, definitely better hydrated and my fines lines were less noticeable. I also loved that AM treatment includes an SPF. The 60 something says, " I love this eye cream" Just as a quick note my mom does not have any deep set wrinkles ( lucky her!) but she does have some fine lines and wrinkles. She said that her fine lines had disappeared and that her entire eye area had "softened" which made her eyes look younger. The delicate skin surrounding her eyes was "plumped up" and no longer looked "fragile". Please let me know what you think. Till then! B.

L'OREAL EVERPURE UV PROTECT SPRAY S.O.S (SAVE OUR STRANDS) I swear if my hair could talk it would definitely be crying for help! The damaging rays of the Summer sun seem to zap the moisture and color ( if you color your hair like me) right out from my hair. This is exactly why I like to spritz my hair with the new L'Oreal Everpure UV Protect Spray. This protective spray is part of the L'Oreal Sulfate Free hair care line that I already use and love. If your are not familiar with the benefits of sulfate free shampoos and conditioners, I can tell you that these products will save your hair from splitting, breakage and color fade ( who doesn't want that!) THE SKINNY ON SULFATES Basically, sulfates in shampoos and conditioners act like a detergent on your hair. They strip the natural oils away from your hair leaving it dry, damaged and it will fade the beautiful hair color that you paid a lot of money for! OVER PROTECTIVE You can never be too over protective when it comes to your hair. I have found that after using the Everpure UV Protect Spray my ends were not "fried" and my color stayed blonde and shiny even after spending many a day at the beach . My stylist even made a comment on how good my color looked even after 6 weeks! L'Oreal Everpure UV Protect Spray is infused with Rosemary and Mint which gives it a fresh, clean scent. This spray can be applied after washing your hair or you can do what I like to do which is apply it to my hair (when it is dry) while I am out in the sun. This way it instantly moisturizes and conditions my hair and it fends off the harmful UV rays.

BRITNEY'S WHAT'S HOT AND NEW BEAUTY REVIEW: L'OREAL EXTRA-VOLUME COLLAGEN MASCARA. WANTED: Mascara the delivers thick, beautiful, full lashes that won't cost a fortune! FOUND: L'OREAL EXTRA-VOLUME COLLAGEN MASCARA I have long been a TRUE fan of L'OREAL Voluminous Mascara. I started to use this product when I was in my early 20's and I have been using it ever since (trust me, it's been a long time!) I have tried the other much more expensive brands of mascara and I have found that the real only difference between the two is the price! (seriously!). So, when I got the chance to test out the new Extra-Volume Collagen Mascara I had very high expectations for this product. Here's what I found. THE OUTER FRINGE Two words that have become very important to me especially as I get older, LIFT AND SEPARATE! I have very short and fine eye lashes so I need a mascara that will create long and thick lashes for me. L'OREAL Extra-Volume Collagen Mascara does just that! Trust me, this new version of the Voluminous Mascara will take your lashes to the next level! First of all the brush is 50% bigger than the original Voluminous Mascara. Also,the bristles are multi-length which coats even the tiniest of lashes with mascara root to tip. It is infused with collagen which plumps up your lashes from the inside out and it also contains Hyaluronic spheres that cling to lashes making them look fuller and thicker. TIME TO RETHINK YOUR WINK I found that this mascara goes on smooth and clumps and flakes were nowhere to be found. My lashes looked longer, fuller and thicker. (Otherwise put, I got glam lashes.) The sleek new design of the package makes this mascara look just as expensive as the other high priced mascaras. L'OREAl Extra-Volume Collagen Mascara gives you luxe lashes without the big price tag ($7.95). What is more feminine than the heavenly smell of Caress Evenly Gorgeous Bath Bar? I can tell you nothing. I have tested out the new Caress Evenly Gorgeous Bath Bar and I absolutely love it! First off the color is a sexy, shimmering, gold (gold/ yellow my favorite color). The scent remains true to the original Caress except this has more of a playful and daring side to it from the incorporation of Burnt Sugar and Karite Butter. One of the things that I love about Caress Evenly Gorgeous is that the scent does not wear off as soon as you wash it off. My hubby loves the soft, alluring scent that this body bar leaves on my skin after my shower (good stuff). britneysbeautyblog
