I was looking for something to smooth my thick, wavy hair, add shine, and make straightening a little easier, but this shampoo was a real disappointment. My hair was rough, tangled, dull, and dirty after I used this product (and the smoothing shampoo), and it didn't flatiron smoothly either. I think it might be better suited for fried hair that needs heavier moisture, but for my healthy, unprocessed hair, it was overkill.

I was looking for something to smooth my thick, wavy hair, add shine, and make straightening a little easier, but this shampoo was a real disappointment. My hair never felt clean when I used this, and it felt rough and tangled even after I conditioned. I think it might be better suited for very damaged hair that needs heavier moisture, but for my healthy, unprocessed hair, it was overkill. Yuck.

This blush is nice and smooth with a decent color payout, it's blendable, and it's affordable. I use a light bronzer for contour and then this blush in Light Pink just on the apples for a natural daytime look. The shade I purchased is too light for a dramatic look, but I imagine the deeper coral shades would suit very well for evening. I'm not sure I'd buy this again, at least not in this shade, but there's certainly nothing wrong with it. A nice average blush.

I'm new to gel liners, so I wanted to start out with an inexpensive one just to get a feel for them. This was a great choice. The gel seems very dry in the pot, but don't let that fool you. The formula is dense and creamy, applies easily and smoothly even for a liner newbie like me, and lasts all day without smudging or melting. The brush that comes with it is very nice, so don't throw it out! For a thin line, just turn the brush sideways.

I had high hopes for this concealer based on other reviews, but it failed to deliver for me. It's hard and waxy, doesn't cover well (how could anything that seems so dense in the package be so thin on the skin??), settles into lines and creases, and is difficult to apply. I tried three different kinds of brushes and my fingers, and I still couldn't get a decent application. Fortunately, I was able to trade it for Smashbox HD, which I love.

I had high hopes for this mascara, but it failed on nearly every level. The brush is too fat and the bristles are too long to grab every lash, especially on the bottom. It does separate and add volume at the roots, but it doesn't lengthen (due to the too-fat brush). It requires two coats, but when I add the second coat, it clumps, no matter whether I add it over a dry, wet, or just slightly sticky first coat. This one starts flaking off within three hours too. I've paid much less for much better mascaras. So disappointing.

I have thin, average-length blonde lashes, so I'm always looking for the latest and greatest mascara to make them pretty. I've tried pretty much every low- to mid-range mascara out there, but I keep coming back to this one. I love nearly everything about it. The brush is fabulous. It coats every lash with color, so I don't have a problem with my blonde lash roots showing. The coverage is buildable and adds great volume and length (the trick for length is to apply to the tips first, then build by sweeping from root to tip as usual). My lashes look amazingly thick and long when I use this. This mascara does flake, but only after a long day, so just remember to reapply before going out in the evening.

I have dry, sensitive skin that can become unbearably itchy in the winter, so I need a lotion that will moisturize without irritating. I started using Aveeno about a year ago when stores near me quit carrying my former favorite lotion, Lubriderm Intense Skin Repair w/Itch Relief, and it's one of the best things I've ever done for myself. I use it every night after showering, and it lasts a full 24 hrs. My skin is never flaky anymore, and it never itches. This lotion is intensely moisturizing and long-lasting, but it never makes skin sticky or greasy. It doesn't clog pores either, so it's perfect for those itchy patches I get on my back and shoulders when the weather's dry. Love it!

This is a lovely silky powder with great coverage and a smooth texture. It does blend easily, just as advertised, and a little goes a long way. The lightest shade is perfect for my ultra-fair skin. It even helps cover my under-eye circles. My only complaint is that it doesn't absorb oil or stop shine. If you have oily or combination skin, you'll need to blot or reapply at least once during the day, but folks with drier skin and those who like a dewy look will likely find no flaws with this powder. Well done, L'Oreal.

I use makeup-removing towelettes as the first step in my nightly routine before I cleanse and exfoliate. I also use them to freshen my skin and remove oil when I stay up late and don't have time to wash properly. These remove makeup and oil gently but thoroughly, they smell amazing, and they don't irritate my skin or clog my pores. I have sensitive acne-prone combination skin, so that last factor is the most important to me. Can't beat the price either. Love these.
