My husband and I switched over to Tom's of Maine after hearing about the extensive animal testing done by Colgate, Aquafresh, Crest etc. It's not half as sweet as Colgate, takes a bit of getting used to but within a week you will start seeing results. It far exceeded our expectations, I have never had cleaner teeth! A month ago we read on their website that 80+% of their company shares have been bought by Colgate. A good buy for Colgate but a huge slip up in ethical standards by Tom's of Maine. Takes sleeping with the enemy to a whole new level.

Bought this product after the high reviews it received on the avon site. Fairly disappointed. It's definitely NOT a day cream. When used as a night cream, although the oil was absorbed overnight, my pores looked larger than before. I have combination skin so I'm never going to apply this cream on my T-zone again, it makes my skin terribly puffy the next morning and even otherwise it's best when used in winter during those extreme dry skin days.

I bought this shaving cream for my husband when we decided to stop using products that were tested on animals. We bought Avalon's peppermint cream shave and my husband loves it (more than anything he has ever used)! He doesn't even need an after shave after using this product, it's extremely soothing on the skin and smells great. It does not lather like other shaving creams so he prefesr to leave it applied on the skin for 5 mins before shaving for extra conditioning. Avalon is a little expensive in comparison to other non-organic brands but worth it both in quality and ethics.

If you're looking for a body lotion that is affordable, animal friendly and works like magic on your skin, this is it! Most lotions are either too oily or too light to provide enough moisture to the skin. This oatmeal & shea butter lotion works wonders. The bottle says it provides 200% more moisture immediately and it's true! My once dehydrated skin (which looked like it was aging twice as fast as it should) is now glowing and babysoft without the greasy feel.
