I kept backing out of buying this in the aisles at Sephora because it seemed oh-so expensive (like pretty much everything in the Fresh line), but I finally went for it, and I'm so glad I did! This is one of the best lip balms I've ever used. This is what I reach for any time my lips start to feel tight, dry, and chapped. The texture is so smooth, and the balm just luxuriously glides onto your lips when you apply it. The smell is great as well. I can't find any negatives about it, though I wish they would make a version without the SPF, as I don't like wearing a SPF balm when I'm asleep.

I picked the Cherry flavor of this on sale at the drugstore. I didn't need a new lip balm, but was expecting a sheer reddish, moisturizing lip balm. I wish I could have seen inside the box. It's colorless, so I was disappointed right there. It's a little more moisturizing that the basic Burt's Bees in the yellow tin (which I despise) but not much, and certainly lags behind other lip balms I've used. The mouth of the pot is small, and I find it aggravating to try to get the balm out of it. The balm itself isn't long-lasting and has a thin consistency. I'm just not impressed by the smell, texture, or moisturizing quality of Burt's Bees lip products. I know the brand has its fans, but I'm not one of them. I tossed the jar after using about 1/5 of it.

I'm a huge fan of the La Roche Posay line. I've tried a number of their products and have only encountered a few that I wasn't very impressed with. This moisturizer has been my summer day moisturizer for the past two years. I live in the South, and using too heavy of a moisturizer on the hot, humid days just makes my face feel greasy. This has a light-enough texture to prevent that, while still being moisturizing. And like all LRP products, it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

I started using this after my sister said her dermatologist had recommended it. While I don't have to deal with rosacea like she does, my skin tends to be very senstitive, reactive, and dry (particularly in winter). This is the solution to my dry skin, and even to the bacne I used to constantly fight. I can even use it without any problems on my face. Plus, it's a great value for the money, as you can get a multipack for around $8 that lasts a really long time.

I adore lipgloss and accumulate scads of them. And yet this is the lipgloss that I keep reaching for time after time. The colors are beautiful, and the packaging sleek and elegant. What really sets this gloss apart from others is the moisturizing quality. I have incredibly dry and easily chapped lips, and this is one of the very few glosses that I can use without any lip balm underneath and not feel like my lips are dried out. Yes, it's pricy, but it's worth it for the quality, versatility, and the allure of Chanel.
