I bought a set out of desperation for lip balm. I put on rubhurb [sp?] and it got into every crevice of my lips and just stayed. The color was much too strong for a balm. It did not moisturize and looked very cheap. A few days later when my lips were back to normal and properly moisturized, the balm did not look so bad on, but I still think that the colored shades are far too pigmented and opaque. The clear shimmer is a nice shade to do over the lip for a subtle shimmer. Overall, I did not find these to be worth the price nor are they a product that I will be repurchasing.

I've never really gotten a chance to try or had the urge to try the Philosophy line since I'm a devoted Bare Escentuals buyer; however, since the rave reviews, I had to try this raved cleanser at least one. The scent was nothing special. The texture of the cleanser though, is amazing. It's very creamy and milky and smooth and just felt good on my skin. After I washed the cleanser off, I didn't moisturize right away and didn't feel like I had to. My face did not feel taught or tight, it felt soft and moisturized, which was great! Overall, I liked the way this moisturizer worked on my face. For it's qualities of removing makeup, though, it did not fare well. Bottom line: I liked it, but will be sticking with my normal cleanser.

I bought the Phenomen'eyes two weeks ago hoping to be blown away. At first I was blown away. After a few more uses though, I started to reailze that even though this mascara is great, it isn't worth $28 to me. The Phenomen'eyes, if used properly, will fan out your lashes, lengthen them like no other mascara can, but will not volumize them as much as you'd want them to. It'll take a few tries to really get used to the new brushhead and you will poke yourself a few times in the process, guaranteed. The one thing that many people may not understand is that the application process for this mascara is not the same as the other mascaras out there, therefore if you apply the old method to this mascara, you won't get the best possible results. For $28, it is expensive, but still worth a try. I might be buying it again, but not anytime too soon.

I've used all different sorts of mascaras from $18 ones from Bare Escentuals to $28 Givenchy Phenomen'eyes, but I must say, after using LashBlast for the first time, I fell in love. It separated and defined my lashes, gave them a little curve, and volumized my lashes. The best part, though, is that the formula doesn't clump! Great, great stuff. My lashblash lasts all day, and I'm an eye rubber, so it lasts through that abuse too. This mascara is very hyped up, and I believe for good reason. Will be buying again. For around $9, I wholeheartedly believe this product is worth it!

I was looking for a non-department store brand lip colour that was opaque and creamy. After swatching a plethora of brands and shades, I decided that L'oreal's Color Riche had the best texture: it was moisturizing and glided across my hand. I was looking for two distinct shades -- a bold fuchsia and a bright pink. The pink that I got was incredibly sheer on my lips and only showed glitter. In order to get any hint of color on my lips, I had to run the lipstick over my lips at least 5 times. By then, I looked too glittery and very distasteful. The fuchsia was a bit more opaque, but the color that transfered onto my lips was not the same color in the tube. It showed more of a berry-red than a purpley fuchsia. Perhaps that reaction was due to my naturally red-pink lips, but I was expecting the lip color to be more opaque. Overall, if you're looking for a sheer lipstick, this would be nice. Know though, that not all shades are matte. Some have high amounts of glitter. Finally, if you are looking to truly get the color in the tube, apply a lip liner. For $8 a pop, it's a worth a chance. For my purposes, though, this lip color did not meet my expectations. Will not be buying again.
