Hi! I'm Alissa! I'm a teenage girl obsessed with makeup and fashion. Before I get into more detail, I should let you know that I go deeper than makeup and clothes, don't worry! I'm also really dedicated to my schoolwork and I love reading--and I even write novels!

Ok, so let's get into my beauty obsession. I used to really know nothing about it. Up until I was about 12, 6th grade. Having glasses, there was no real point to wearing makeup, even though I was really curious about concealer and foundation since I have had acne ever since 4th or 5th grade. But I got contacts in January of 6th grade, only a week after my 12th birthday :) I immediately went to makeup. I have 2 older sisters that were 14 and 18 when I started makeup, but they were surprisingly unhelpful to me. They like applying the makeup they use, but their makeup collection is very small. As in, it can all fit in a small cosmetics bag and they each own 1 or 2 brushes. All they apply is daily foundation and bronzer, and lots of eyeliner and mascara. I started out with that, too because it was all I knew. But when I went on my first trip to Ulta, I realized that there was a lot more to the makeup world. Ever since, I've been obsessed with makeup. Still to this day, neither of my sisters know anything about primer or how to fill in their brows or how to find the right colors for your coloring or even how to pick eyebrow and sunglass shapes and haircuts for their face shape. I, on the other hand, know it all, even though I'm the "little sister".

You should know that I'm very into my schooling as well. I have straight A's in school, usually finish reading 2 or 3 novels a week, and I have written a 400-page novel that I'm currently editing.

I'm not too into sports, though I've done soccer and cheerleading. I'm considering trying volleyball next year (I missed the cut off date for this year, sadly) and my runner friends are trying to convince me to join track since I apparently have the "perfect leg muscles" for running, LOL! My mom runs so maybe I should give it a shot. But I take 10 minutes just to run 1 mile, so maybe not... ;)
