This lipstick feels very smooth rather than simply waxy like many cheaper lipsticks. It is perhaps not quite as pigmented as higher-end lip products, but that's to be expected from drugstore brands-- and for a drugstore lip product, it is pretty well pigmented. You'd probably need to 2 or 3 coats for the brighter colors, but the lighter ones (like "Dreamy", the color I chose, and which I really recommend as a nude for lighter-skinned gals) look just fine with one coat. There's a slight shimmer, which manages to be flattering without being super noticeable. Plus it has a nice floral smell and the package is pretty cute. Overall I think it's a great buy.

I don't think that this product is very special in any way, but I do think that it's a good bargain for first-timers, people who don't often wear lipstick, and people who are just wanting to try out some fun new color without breaking the bank. There are about a bazillion different colors to choose from. I tried "Wild Orchid" because I'd been wanting to try a good bright near-purple pink and a lot of other drugstore lines don't carry that kind of color. The packaging is boring, but usually simple packaging translates to a lower-priced product, so I don't mind too much. The lipstick itself just feels very waxy rather than creamy. I would recommend wearing a thin layer of lip balm underneath it if you're dealing with dry lips-- this waxy stuff isn't going to help that problem very much. That said, it does go on fairly smoothly. I also recommend lining the lips if you are using a bright color to prevent it from running, which is sometimes does. I needed 3 coats to get the full effect of the color. This is not unusual for the cheaper lipsticks, of course-- just means that it isn't super pigmented. Keep that in mind if you are looking for a super-bold color. It also doesn't last for more than a couple of hours at peak color, so you will have to either apply a new coat often or use some kind of top coat of another, longer-lasting product (again, this applies to bold colors-- if you're using something more natural, you don't have to reapply nearly so often).

This lipstick has kind of a silky feel and it is fairly moisturizing, though I wouldn't rely on it exclusively to keep my lips in good condition because it seems to wear off pretty quickly. It's decently pigmented-- I only need 2 coats for optimal color. It's also fairly matte so there's no shimmer or anything like that. The smell is pretty strong, though. I happen to like it (kind of a fresh fruity smell) but people who are sensitive to fragrances might want to avoid this product. The packaging looks nice enough but I've had the lid come off in my bag a couple of times. The color I bought was "Windsor Rose"; it's just a good basic rose pink that would probably been flattering on just about any pale to medium skin tone.
