  • BareMinerals Matte Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15

I've tried Bare Escentuals mineral makeup several times. I have oily skin, so the original formula made me look like an oil slick, so you could imagine my excitement when I read about the Matte formula. With a little hesitation and a HUGE coupon from Ulta, I decided to give this a shot. When I first put this on, it didn't look bad, however by lunch time, anything I had put on my face was gone and my skin ended up looking sallow and unmade. I understand the "natural" look your supposed to get with these products, but what happened to the glow, to the healthy look...? I got none of that and to top it off, my skin felt really tight and almost itchy with this stuff. The complete opposite of the original formula. It seems to me that Bare Escentuals isn't made for everyone or all skin types - no matter what their advertisement states!

    NYX Cosmetics Single Eye Shadow

    THE BEST EYESHADOW EVER!!

I'm one of those girls that just can't justify paying $16 for a small little square of eyeshadow at MAC, so with a little research, I came across these little gems. I always saw NYX products tucked away in the corner at ULTA, however I never thought enough to buy any...when I finally did, I was pleasantly suprised. Colors are vibrant, have ultimate staying power - especially if you have hooded eye lids such as mine, you know that staying power is a MUST! With a little experimenting, I also found out that if you take an eyeliner bush, dip it in a little water and your NYX eyeshadow of choice, you've got the perfect stay all day eyeliner! So basically, for $5.00 you have a product that performs as an eyeliner and eyeshadow and won't let you down!

  • NYX Slim Eye Pencil

I FINALLY found an eyeliner that I could use on my waterline without irritating it or having it slide into the corners of my eyes! I purchased Teal, Electric Blue & Seafoam Green - colors that compliment my grey/blue/green eyes. I wore the Blue yesterday and the first thing my girlfriend said to me is that my eyes looked awesome and they "popped". That's a compliment in my book. Today I have the Teal on - a little more causual today and my eyes look like I have something on without being overdone. With past eyeliners used in my waterline, I would get a mild headache - not these. For me they're almost like a Kohl eyeliner! I LOVE THEM! Going back for some more soon! How can you pass these up @ $3.95 each!

  • Sebastian Microweb Fiber

About 10 years ago, I decided I wanted to have Sharon Stone's short hairstyle so I cut all my hair off. Back then, I think this product would have been awesome, however now that I have hair down to the middle of my back, the only thing this stuff does is make my hair feel weighed down and gross. Maybe if I could get clear directions on how someone with long hair should utilize this, I might be able to use it to it's fullest potential. When I tried to pump the smallest amount out, it still seemed like too much. Then I felt like I was putting 2nd graders glue in my hair. I get it's supposed to add texture to your hair, given you can see the fibery consistancy to it, I just don't get how it's supposed to be beneficial on long hair....?

  • Sebastian Whipped Creme

    Sebastian Whipped Creme

One of the minority but for good reason

This product left me indifferent. I mean, yeah, it's light and liked whipped cream, but that results in limp, drab hair, for me that is. It claims to "perfectly define bouncing curls and soft waves" but it doesn't have the strength to do so. The only thing that I agree to is that it does "leave a shiny finish" (aka dirty-feeling greasy finish), "without leaving hair dry or crunchy". Look, if this was just some leave-in smoothing styling product, I wouldn't mind it, maybe I'd even tolerate it and use it once in a blue moon if it weren't for the greasy feeling after two hours of wearing it. However, the product didn't deliver what it promised: "bouncy curls" and "soft waves". And nada doing. I'm also not enthusiastic for the smell (it smells like aerosol-sickenly sweet-wannabe bathroom air freshener) or for some of the ingredients (petrolatum and mineral oil). Anyway, for those of you still interested, the directions are as follows: 1) shake well 2) dispense downwards in the palm 3) distribute evenly into damp hair 4) Air dry for a tousled sensual look, diffuse for more luscious defined curves, or set hair for glamorous, bouncy curls. Hope this helps with your purchase :)

  • Maybelline New York Dream Mousse Blush

I've always used powder blush. Anything other then powder, I knew would be a mess with me, however this was on sale at Ulta and after high recommendations on a blog, I decided to give it a try. I bought the Petal Fresh, another step out on the ledge, I've always used shades of orange/bronze as my blush color. I did a test run with it using my blush brush and I LOVE IT now. The color is buildable and beautiful. My only complaint is that they don't have a lot of color choices. I'm hoofing it back to Ulta to stock up!

  • Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Parisienne Eau de Parfum Spray

I was a little hesitant about using this since I tend to stick to fresh clean scents and YSL tends to be a little heavy and strong...but not this! It smelly yummy on...a little woodsy with vanilla. It's soft, sweet and a little citrisy, but not sickly sweet. It's also not heavy at all. I'm pretty picky about my scents, but this is a keeper!

  • BareMinerals Mineral Veil Finishing Powder Broad Spectrum SPF 25

Yuck! I wish I could use mineral makeup - but I always end up with a greasy oil slick on my face. Not pretty. Mineral Veil left my pores looking HUGe and the crows feet around my eyes more prominent then ever. I think I'm officially "DONE" with mineral makeup - it just doesn't work on oily skin!

  • Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion Smoothing Creme

Nice pleasant surprise! I'm one of those girls blessed with a thick head full of fine hair, which in turns means I have to be careful with shine & serum products. So far I've only used it while blow drying my hair and it left my hair shiny and smooth. I can't say it made my disobedient hair behave because that's impossible, but it did make it feel nice and not weighed down! The real test will be when I straighten it with my FHI iron! Smells nice and the pump’s convenient to use!

  • Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam

For those of you out there looking for something to control your acne & sine, this cleansing foam is perfect! I was a faithful user of the Proactiv 3 step system, however it became hard to find and ordering online became a hassle and expensive. Clinique came up with the perfect 3 step system that superseed's Proactiv. Not only is it easy to find, Macy's, Lord & Taylor and online (shipping is generally free and quick) you also get more product from Clinique for a few dollars less then Proactiv. Now how can you turn away from all of that! **Keep in mind this won't remove makeup**
