Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow

wanted to love it

i have used every eyeshadow under the sun (except for maybe the cheapest ones that are under 3 or so dollars) and i have never had a bad reaction to any of them (and i have no known allergies) until i bought this quad. as soon as the shadow was applied, my skin started burning and my eyes were itching like mad. even after i scrubbed it off, my eyelids were swollen and my skin was inflamed. its a shame because the colors are pretty, but not nearly as vivid as in the packaging. i love the glamor of chanel, but i'll pass on this.

Philosophy Hope in a Tube High-Density Eye and Lip Firming Cream

Nice product

I may be crazy but something about this product makes me feel like a look a little more awake and bright the morning after I apply it. It moisturizes well and a little goes a long way--hopefully if i keep using it i'll have the eyes of teenager well into my 90's.

Clarins Eye Pencil

Pretty Good

This is a nice pencil, I suppose. It works reasonably well--some smudging, not too much...but man oh man is it a pain to remove.

Tarte Indelible Wink

i'd avoid this one

I have tried literally every liquid liner under the sun, and this one is not so great. Its like liquid plastic, first off--so if you make a mistake you kind of have to peel the whole shebang off and try again, which is a giant pain. The shadow smudger top is a great concept but it just rubs off the liner. I managed to get a month of use out of it--it looks great if you have a very steady hand, a ton of time, and the opportunity to touch it up throughout the day. It doesnt respond too well to makeup remover (even waterproof). It also dries up very quickly and becomes clumpy almost immediately.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

this thing is maaaagical

i've got this baby in the gold-plated version and there's just nothing else like it. I swear the thing is coated in make-your-lashes-perfectly-curly-and-make-it-last-all-day fairy dust. I couldn't love it more.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream

good, not awesome

this is a good basic face cream but I found I needed alot to do what some other face creams (ex. kiehls creme de'elegance) do with less. It's probably perfect for a summer moisturizer or for someone with very normal skin. My skin is moderately dry and this doesn't quite do it for me.

Kiehl's Supremely Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

Works well, not great

I've come to expect alot from kiehls, and this product didnt quite deliver--it works well for removing liquid liner and mascara, but it smudges an awful lot when I'm trying to wash away my clarins liner pencil. Maybe there's something specifically stubborn about the clarins pencil, but either way..there's room for improvement.

Kiehl's Creme d'Elegance Repairateur

The perfect moisturizer for dry skin

I used this on my dry skin and I have never ever received so many compliments--I've never had very many skin issues (acne, etc) but any and all blemishes, discoloration, and roughness vanished within the first week of my using this. It's fantastic, and a little goes a very long way so a tub lasts for months and months.

Kiehl's Superbly Efficient Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant

I adore this stuff

I've always hated the cloying, floral, overpowering smells of your standard deodorants, so i thought i'd give this a try. It's completely unscented and works like a charm--no odor, no wetness, nothing. I'll never buy anything else.
