  • Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Eliminating Spot Gel

I found this product easy to use and effective. Within about three days, the blemishes I applied this to were gone. I love it and bought several tubes at once - one for the office, one for the car, one for home. Different things work for different people, I guess!

  • N.Y.C. New York Color Roll-On Lipgloss

No adult woman should understand this product to be makeup. I distinctly remember playing with this very thing in middle school before I was allowed to wear "real" makeup and I can't believe they're still making it. Bonne Bell is a better choice of lipgloss for an adult than this. This doesn't moisturize or stay on the lips at all. No shine, just an obnoxious, fruity taste. Yechhh.

  • Wet n Wild Ultimate Cover Smooth Foundation

If applied to the face, this product will not even skin tone, smooth away blemishes, make you look fresh and dewy, or provide a wonderful canvas for the other details of your makeup look. What it will do is stay on your fingers, not your face. If it does cling to some areas of facial skin, it will all kind of pool in a certain area while leaving other areas naked. This is not to be taken seriously as makeup.

    Caress Berry Indulging Body Wash

Just too bad it's not very girly ...

OK, I just bought this and seriously, this is the pinkest, prettiest, froofiest, most princess-y thing there ever was. So much so that I will probably stash it in a cabinet next time a guy comes over. That said, of course I love it. It smells amazing, leaves skin feeling so soft, and lathers up luxuriously. What can I say ... some people hide alcohol or candy; I hide sinfully indulgent body wash.

  • Caress Tahitian Renewal Body Wash

I liked the scent of this the most. I figured it'd be decently moisturizing, the exfoliating element would be nice, and it would leave me smelling wonderful and vacation-y. I somehow decided that its vacation-y scent would make it perfect to take on an actual vacation. I remember three evenings spent sobbing in the tiny shower of a cruise ship's bathroom, crying as I washed my sunburned shoulders with this extremely gritty body wash. Not smart. But hey, my raw flesh smelled wonderful!

  • Caress Japanese Body Wash

I loved the Moroccan counterpart to this body wash, but the Japanese scent I found too artificially scented. I'm perennially congested with sinus problems, so not only was it amazing that I actually found the scent TOO overpowering, I was dizzy for the next couple of hours from smelling it. Phew.

  • Caress Moroccan Body Wash

I loved this line of internationally-inspired body washes, and the Moroccan was my favorite! I was intoxicated by the scent and found the moisturizing element lasted a long time. Also, quite a big bottle so many uses were involved. Products like this remind me that Bath and Body Works isn't nearly as necessary for great-smelling bath products as it used to be.

  • Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color

    Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color

Works for dark hair - but not too dark ...

My hair was colored black, but I was ready to switch back to red. Rather than strip the color, I decided to try this product. It didn't do a thing and I ended up stripping it after all. Now it's been a few months and my mousy-brown roots are coming back in. Today I decided to give this another shot to color over the existing, slightly lighter color and brown roots, and WHOA! I have to say, this was the color I'd been looking for, for like a decade! I love it. So rich and glossy! I don't know whether the initial problem was that my hair was black or that it was dyed black. If anyone is in the same position I was, with really, really dark hair or artificially dark hair, don't expect this to work. However, if your hair is chestnut brown or lighter, I expect this will give you the same vibrant but believable hue I am enjoying today!

  • Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser

I love the matching scrub and the redness-reducing line similar to this (in green packaging), but this particular product really annoyed me for one reason: it won't lather up when you put it on your face. I really hate when products like this won't lather because you end up using more water, which washes it down the drain, or more product to compensate, and either way, you waste it because you end up using about two times more than you should've needed to. I pitched this in the end - although the smell can't be beat for quick energy in the morning. Use the pump-bottle facial cleanser and the scrub instead.

  • Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub

I can't say how much I love this. But I purposely attempted to write a review, so I'd better try. I really, really enjoy a good exfoliating scrub. This fits the bill while not being gritty or sandpaper-y (to me), and it actually works up a lather - something that's hard to do in many such products that claim to lather. Also, the scent is to die for. Even for someone like me who thinks grapefruit itself is disgusting and grapefruit JUICE is a violation of all that is good and holy and decent-tasting. For all the familiar citrus and green tea scents out there that are supposed to be refreshing, this one knocks it out of the park. If this were a body scrub, I'd buy it and nothing else. Oh yeah, and it helped my zits.
