Wow. That was my first impression. I am a home hair color veteran, so I have done it all and used it all, and am rarely impressed enough with a hair color product to write a review of it. Even disregarding the price of this amazing stuff, the performance is pretty unmatched. It's foolproof.. and it really delivers shiny, even color. I have been a brunette, blond and redhead all in the last six months... and I decided it was time to keep it simple and go back to black. So I picked up two boxes [I have lots of hair] of the no frills Black 10, and I am really pleased! I just wanted a simple, plain black... not blue black, not red black, not dark brown pseudo-black.. just black. And that is what I got. For $4 a box. A month later of washing every day and my hair is... still a gorgeous glossy black! It really doesn't get any better than that. And I should know, I've tried it all. :]

So I have had a lot of whims in the last six months that have taken a hellish toll on my fairly long hair. I definitely learned my lesson... if it ain't broke don't fix it. But when damage is done, it's done... and my ends were beyond well done. I used to be able to do whatever to it and it would bounce back like nothing had happened, but I must've really made it beyond angry, because after I went from dark brown to medium brown to red and back to dark brown, it has not been the same. I was looking for something to help me really tell it how sincerely sorry I was. The Feria conditioner is nice... and that has been helpful, but I needed to break out the big guns... so I did a lot of research on Kerastase, which I'd never used before. I have no problem dropping dolla bills on something if it works... and this definitely does. The first time I used it, I think I used it incorrectly because I pre-conditioned with my usual conditioner, so my hair may not have absorbed it correctly. It was marginally better the first time I used it, and I was sort of disappointed. So I tried it a week later, using it directly after my shampoo and rinsing with ice cold water after 5 minutes, and when my hair dried, it was like I had my old hair back. The natural waves I had sucked out of my hair with toxic chemicals were almost 100% back. My hair has almost forgiven me... in fact I anticipate a nearly full recovery after using it again this week. Kerastase has saved my relationship with my hair, I couldn't be more grateful!

Lancome Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Volume Mascara
I've tried them all, and this one is a keeper
I remember the first time I tried this at Sephora... I traipsed around the store for about half an hour looking at other things and was stopped no less than half a dozen times to be asked what mascara I was wearing or told how epic my eyes looked. EPIC. It curls, volumizes AND lengthens (not to mention, if you are quick enough, you can add an extra coat for exponentially insane impact). Not to mention, the staying power is fantastic- yet it comes off at the first touch of an oil-based eye makeup remover. Holygrail-tastic!

Nothing makes you realize just how much you love (and depend) on a product until you stop using it. I must admit, I am a bit of a hair (and skin and beauty etc) product junkie- I guess you could say I like to experiment. I'm not sure how I originally stumbled across this amazing stuff, but after spotting it the other day at Duane Reade, I couldn't wait to get my hands back on it. I'm not sure what I can really say about it that hasn't already been touched upon... the build-up free glossy shine and the scent (yes, it has a distinct smell but what are you doing using Aveda products if you don't enjoy some sort of olfactory stimulation anyway?!!) make this a Holy Grail shampoo for this product junkie. (Same goes for the conditioner.. LOVE.)

This is one of those things that, as soon as I tried it, I wished I'd found it much, much sooner. It gets to be a pain having to apply different products on different areas of my face, as a combination type complexion. This genius product has finally taken care of that huge frustration for me and I am beyond pleased with the results. Applied prior to my moisturizer to my t-zone only, this allows the moisturizer to sink in where I need it while creating a barrier in the places that I DON'T. Absolutely brilliant. You can apply it throughout the day as well, on top of your makeup, if you need to. I find that I only need to do this occasionally, mainly in the summertime when most people's t-zones go into overdrive. I say this about very few products, but this is item is definitely something I don't ever plan on running out of, so they had better not even think about discontinuing it!!

I was always hearing how amazing this stuff is, so I finally decided to pick some up a few months ago as I was lurking around my favorite MAC Counter. I am pleasantly surprised to find just how necessary I find this product! It feels great and it performs beautifully as a pre-makeup spritz as well as a post-makeup spritz. It gives the skin a little moisture for your moisturizer to lock and helps you not look and/or feel as though you're wearing a mask after you've finished applying your makeup. It's really a delight to use.

I have never been one to seek out any sort of bronzing dust or tanning goop. I have always worn my pallor with pride. After all, it's not easy to avert the sun so entirely that you are beyond transparent. Wellllll, last summer I was visiting one of my best friends in Philly and she of not quite bronze not quite fair yet inexplicably glowy skin recommended this stuff to me when I asked if she knew of a bronzer that didn't look obvious or orange or brown. Just luminous. A tall order, I know, but I wanted to glow. We walked into Sephora and I dipped my ring finger in the adorable leopard print concoction, after gushing over the adorable yet simultaneously functional packaging, and I immediately knew I had to have it. And almost a year later I still have plenty left..granted I seldom used it during the winter. It is splendid as a blush or highlighter or for an all over luminous sun kissed glow. I truly love this stuff.

I am a bit obsessed with red lipstick, but this might be my favorite. Red Lizard is nice too. Shu Uemura makes beautiful reds, I must admit. But this is one of the best combinations of gorgeous pigment and staying power I have ever seen. If you exfoliate, lightly moisturize and blot excess moisture prior to application, it is the perfect consistency [halfway between a cream and matte] and stays forever and ever. The pigment is absolutely outstandingly rich and seems as though it would be flattering on a wide range of complexions. I think it's definitely worth at least a try on in Sephora. One side note, I have been using this shade for probably around two years now and it never fails to elicit numerous complements, from women and men alike, though the men don't usually ask what shade I'm wearing.

Clinique Total Turnaround Visible Skin Renewer
Use this if you want people to tell you how gorgeous your skin is!
While I'm not terribly fond of the pump version of this [for oilier skin I'm guessing?] the cream is absolutely divine. I am a product junky when it comes to skin care because I want to have beautiful skin for as long as possible..well obviously, haha. Anyhow, needless to say I have tried numerous numerous numerous creams and serums and potions and this and that, and I keep coming back to this. I don't know why I don't just buy a whole case of it! The results are immediate and amazing. When I use this I definitely don't feel like I have to use a different product for every different skin woe I have as I feel it addresses all of them... dullness, fine lines, blemishes, unevenness... it literally does it all and it does it well! I recently started using it again [why I stopped in the first place I cannot imagine!] but I don't intend on ever being without it again, because every time I get a new jar I can't think of a time my skin ever looks better. Love love love love love!

After doing some spring cleaning, I decided to give this stuff another try. Immediately I was reminded how great it feels going on and how lovely the scent is. A lot of people don't like overly scented stuff but as long as it's not too pungent, I find it delightful. Anyhow, my skin has been pretty disastrous lately, which I never know how to handle since most of the time it never gives me any problems. It's been breaking out terribly in some places and really dry in others... so basically solving either of those problems separately only exacerbated the other. Ugh. So I've been using this for the last couple days and my skin feels adequately moisturized for the first time in weeks. I've been using this during the days as well with SPF because I love it so much! I used to use the daytime lotion with the SPF and I will definitely be picking up some more of that, along with more of the night complex. To be honest, I've tried most of the Skin Genesis products and I love all of them! I've tried almost everything and it is literally one of the best [if not THE best] lines of moisturizers I've ever experienced, without question!
