  • Shea Moisture African Black Soap Bar Soap

This didn't provide any kind of special moisture. I didn't even make it through half the bar before I through it in the trash. It's not very moisturizing and made my skin feel really tight after showers.

  • Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Reconstructive Elixir

This product tends to just sit on top of my hair when I use it dry. I have better results when I spray it on my damp hair. Website usage on suggest using it as follows... •This intensely moisturizing and penetrating all-natural oil treatment repairs and strengthens hair •After shampooing, dispense serum into your hands and massage into scalp and hair, then rinse thoroughly and style as desired •For deeper conditioning, leave on hair for 5-15 minutes •May be used with a plastic cap and moderate heat •May also be used as a leave-in hair treatment I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and would recommend this for best use on damp or wet natural hair. Doesn't do much on dry or relaxed hair unless you have braids.

  • Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo you saved my life! I cut off all my hair back in 2010 in an effort of getting rid of harsh chemical procedures and damaged hair and to restore my self esteem. I hated my hair for while before doing the big chop. Afterwards everything was great! I had short hair an easy routine and spent less money on styling and products. Eventually some of the “natural” things I was using on my hair started to contribute to my adult acne breakouts and there goes a piece of my self esteem again. Eventually after spending countless dollars on products and hours at the salon I tried to find a less expensive alternative. I started to grow my hair out and low and behold more damage to the pockets on the expensive natural products that worked. Right around May of this year a friend recommended that I try Shea moisture products from Target. So I took myself and my hair to good old Target to see what these products were about. I read the reviews here first of course but I was still a little concerned that this would not give me the results I was hoping for. I have really curly hair that gets really tight, brittle and dry if it is not moisturized properly. So the first week I tried the product my hair was very happy with me. I then started using it in conjunction with other products from the line and they work best as a team I strongly recommend this product especially for curly hair. It not only moisturizes but there isn’t anything in it that triggers negative reactions to my skin. Along with this I recommend the conditioner and styling pudding as well. Although the shampoo is good on it’s on the other prodcucts add to the effectiveness of the shampoo.

  • Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter

This is just an ok product. For what you pay for you it you would be better off using a less expensive item like EVOO or coconut oil from your grocery store. Don't waste your money. The prodcut doesn't have the best odor either.

  • GiGi No Bump RX Body Treatment

I was blessed (doomed) with very curly and coily hair. But not just on my head… It would have been great to have thick eyelashes or or just hair on top of my head but no…it’s generally really thick and curly in unwanted places so when I would shave, pluck, or use hair removing products my skin would have a fit once the hair started to grow back. I discovered this product a couple years ago. I have to say that I have been a consistent user of it ever since. Nothing has worked better. I think more recently they have changed the formula a little bit but it still seems to do the job I need it for. One bottle lasts me for about a year. The product still gives a little sting but nothing to crazy. It is certainly much less stinging than the feel of rubbing alcohol on an open wound. When I ran out of this product my hair bumps started going bananas! I use it with a cotton ball or swab to prevent my skin from becoming very irritated and inflamed with hair bumps. I generally use this before and several days after I do my hair removals. I use this on my bikini line but would strongly discourage anyone from using it any closer to more sensitive areas. I also strongly recommend using gloves to protect hands and nails especially if you have manicured hands. Additionally after use I suggest using a light moisturizer to offset any skin drying. There is a stinging feeling if you use it immediately after waxing, or using hair removal creams. This product does what it was made for and prevents hair bumps where I get them most. If you use it the right way I am sure you will be pleased with the results as well. I have less skin irritation and a much smoother bikini line longer.

  • Buxom Lash Mascara
    8.0

    Buxom Lash Mascara

    I like this mascara

I am not sure which I like best the brush or the Mascara. My friend had this and I had to try it and see what the fuss was about. I have to say that it went on smoothly and defined my scarce lashes. I felt like I was wearing false lashes without the falsies or flaking that some mascaras have. I still have a hard time parting with my mullah for mascara since it is supposed to be replaced every six weeks but if I decide to purchase some more than my normal $8 mascara I will be purchasing this one.

  • Carol's Daughter Tui Leave-in Conditioner

This "conditioner" does nothing for my hair but makes it feel like hay. It did not add moisture but seemed to have made my hair feel crunchy like it was holding spray. I took it back to the store after trying it for 4 days straight. I would not recommend this to a friend.

  • L'Oreal Paris Pro Manicure Nail Polish

L'Oreal Paris Pro Manicure Nail Polish

Don't waste your time or money

I love a lot of Loreal products but this nail polish totally missed the mark. I paid $5 for it and have had better experiences with less expensive nail polish. It chips on the same day or next day. The colors can be misleading. Applying the polish could be better with a better brush....I honestly will not be purchasing another nail color from Loreal. On top of the lack of wear and color deception it is EXTREMELY difficult to remove.

    Lush Facial Cleansers

My face doesn't care for it

After using this my face felt no better than before. It is not good at removing makeup so perhaps it's only good on days you don't wear makeup or if you're not a makeup wearer. Wouldn't recommend to a friend. There was nothing memorable about it during the month I tried it.

  • Lush R&B

    Lush R&B

Works great with my short Coily hair

I did the BC (big chop) around Thanksgiving and my hair was in complete shock afterwards. I realized that it loves moisture and water. So I went to lush to purchase a facial mask as I am in love with all things natural that work...The sales clerk suggested this and 2 other products (curly wurly shampoo and some jungle scented conditioner bar). I purchased the R&B after she let me take a sample and rub it through my hair at the store. It works best after conditioning when it is wet. If applied when the hair is wet it leaves a lil white droplets that go away as the hair dries. I love this stuff. There is no gunky build up after it dries, my hair feels moisturized without feeling greasy and I can co-wash my hair without worrying about using a clarifying product. The only downfall is that it doesn't do much for frizz or curl definition. However it smells good which is a bonus. I will defiantely be purchasing this product in the future. I use it every day. After originally giving a great review on this product I had to repost do to the fact that it may be contributing to my adult acne. The dermatologist said that what I am putting in my hair may be causing some breakouts on my face. especially around my hair line.
