Philosophy products are expensive and not as effective as they claim, and because of that, I would not purchase this product for myself (I received mine as a gift). I do, however, like this fine face scrub. It exfoliates well, but sometimes I have to exfoliate my face twice in a row to get the desired effect. I recommend St. Ives products or the store generics.

If you have normal skin, meaning no skin issues, such as acne prone, a lot of oil, redness, sensitivity, or very dry, for example, then this moisturizer is okay. It does not do anything significant. I feel it is over priced for the quality. Sure, it smells nice, but it aggravated my mild, hormonal acne. If it irritates mild, hormonal acne, then that tells me that there are too many unnecessary ingredients in the product, and that the product's moisturizers are clogging my pores. Always look for non-comedogenic on the label of cleansers and moisturizers. I am using the rest of my product, because it was a gift and it was expensive, but I will not be purchasing it for myself. Other people say that it takes makeup off nicely. I found that it removed my tinted moisturizer, like any other cleanser, but I had a difficult time removing regular mascara. I resorted to the usual: baby shampoo, to remove the mascara. Baby shampoo, of any brand, is amazing to remove stubborn makeup. The bottom line is, do not waste your money on expensive products that claim to do it all. Instead, go to Sephora and ask for a week's worth of samples to really test the product before buying.

The entire aloe line by The Body Shop is a very effective and calming line. I use this day cream after cleansing with a mild foaming Cetaphil cleanser. I use the aloe toner, in the same product line, after cleansing and before moisturizing, only in the evenings. This cream is not heavy or greasy, nor does it clog my pores, or contribute to my breakouts. I recommend this cream, which is not too thick, either, for any type of skin, as it is the perfect consistency, non-greasy, does not smell of anything, and immediately calms the skin.

This is a wonderful and simple toner. I purchased this aloe based toner because I heard that it is great for sensitive skin. We put so many unnatural products on our skin, and the chemicals in those products leave an invisible residue. Overtime, that residue leads to outbreaks, such as acne and other skin irritations. After cleansing my skin with a mild Cetaphil foaming cleanser (again, simple ingredients), I swipe my face one time with the toner, applied with a cotton ball. Then, I apply The Body Shop's Aloe Soothing Day Cream. It's light and non-greasy. I do the same thing at night. When I get hormonal acne (read: that time of the month), I use The Body Shop's tea tree oil products, in addition to the aloe to help minimize any inflammation. People believe that toner is supposed fix all their problems; but that is not the case. An entire skin regimen that works well together is what solves your skin issues. The skin on my face is mildly oily in the t-zone, and normal to combination, but it's sensitive to the sun and products filled with too many ingredients. This toner does not burn the skin (contrary to popular belief, pain does not equal gain), and tones well. Bottom line: the less you put on your face, the better; and the least number of ingredients in a product is what you need to be looking for.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that this really is the best cream shadow out there. I've gone through five sets, already. Cream shadow can be tricky to apply, because it can end up creasing and appear uneven. However, if you apply with a good quality eyeshadow brush, creasing and unevenness will not occur. Do not apply with your finger, or you'll be disappointed with the results. Also, as you get older, cream shadow is not a good option, as the cream can settle in fine lines and wrinkles. In this case, an eyeshadow primer can help minimize any problems. I really like Nude Lights, which is a collection of four nudes. The darkest is not too dark for my fair to light skin, and the lightest shade is best used as a highlighter. I hope Revlon never stops making this product and especially Nude Lights. I don't know why some people have rated it so poorly. I can only assume that they're applying the shadow with their fingers, which like I said, will not provide the best results. Every time I go to Wal-mart, Target, or Ulta, this items never full stocked, and my shade preference is usually missing. Try this, you won't regret it, and you'll probably forgo powder eyeshadow for life!

I have been using OPI nail polish for 10+ years. I love the color selection, where you can choose any shade from light to dark of your favorite color. The name's are catchy and funny. It's fun to say that I'm wearing Heartthrob, which is a perfect light pink for fair to light skin. It is not too dark, and definitely not too sheer. It's not bubblegum-like, but more of a soft pink. A nail tech chose it for me over 10 years ago, and now it's my go to color. I've probably purchased 10 bottles. If you do the math, it's one a year. That means that the nail polish just lasts longer, and doesn't get goopy. I paint my nails once a week, not every two days, like I would if I were using poor quality nail polish. Everyone compliments me on that shade. In addition, I have many other colors, and I actually went out a purchased a bamboo spice rack to display the nail polish on my dresser. It's so clever. Even my brother and my boyfriend are intrigued by the display!

This rim liner was a bit pricey at $18. I wanted to love this liner, because I was switching from my 99 cent NYC eyeliner. I told the girl at the store that I was ridding of my white liner, and she said that it was a good idea because white is very 1980s. I have nothing against the 1980s, because I was born in that decade. White liner was doing the job for me and other people always complimented me (unless they lied). I've gotten zero compliments with this liner. My eyes look weird, almost washed out. However, it's not so weird that I won't use this product. It could be that my skin is fair to light, and white is a better compliment, versus the nude shade, here. So then I have to watch which shades of eyeshadow I wear. For instance, I can't wear my nude with shimmer shadow to pretty up my eyes, because it's not flattering with this liner. Instead, a darker shade of shadow is more flattering. The liner goes on smooth, but not evenly on the rim. My white always went on, evenly. I will not purchase this again. I've heard that a very light blue eyeliner acts as a brightener, so that will be my next purchase.

This eye cream is ridiculous. It came with a set called Care Package that cost me $89. Purchased separately, this cream would cost $35. It has a thick, tacky consistency that burns when it gets anywhere near my eyes. Ironically, this is meant to be applied around the eyes. Don't waste your money. I'm learning that Philosophy is just another disappointing line.

I can't believe I have used this product for 9 years! It smells wonderful, has the perfect fluid consistency that you'd want in a serum, does not weigh hair down, and conveniently dispenses from a pump. I've used other serums, just to try them, because they were more expensive and I was hoping they would do something magical, but nothing has outdone this one. I live in Florida, and our humidity is terrible. This is very effective serum, and everyone says my hair smells good.

This is the lowest ranked item in all of my reviews. I don't like the sticky texture. It's not smooth, and the color comes off easily. I'm not into re-applying throughout the day. I have nothing good to say, except for the fact that mine was a sample, so I'm glad I didn't waste my own money on this item.
