Before I go further, make sure you read the review from the gal who used to work at Stila. Follow her tips for using the product, and it WILL absolutely last without drying out. I have both the Black and Bronze, and they've stayed freshed for 6+ months. I apply the product with a stiff angled brush, and the only time I have the lid off is when I'm loading up the brush. I achieve a smokey look with total control over the level of intensity. One of the reasons I love it? It never, ever smudges.

Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
Forever Favorite - There's No Need to Pay More for Anything Else
There are certain Mary Kay products that are mainstays in the brand's line (and on my shelf) -- this eye make-up remover is one of them. Although I've tried other major brands, I have yet to find a reason to switch (and don't bother trying). The product doesn't leave any residue, is odorless, and lasts a very long time. I typically remove most of the mascara when I wash my face, then I use a Q-Tip with MK's product to remove any left-over mascara. The packaging prevents any bad spills, which is an extra benefit. Best of all, if you don't like it, you can always return it.

I get so bummed out when I read reviews from women whose bad experience with products are tied to unrealistic expectations. In the case of Dr. Brandt's Pores No More -- this isn't a product that literally shrinks your pores, nor is there such a thing. That said, Pores No More does a great job of minimizing the LOOK of your pores. Pores are a natural feature of your skin, and their size is determined by many things... skin type, genetics...even age. It wasn't until I hit 40 that I batted at eye at my pore size, but that's when I became aware of them and went in search of a product to help. Props to Sephora for leading me straight to this product and giving me plenty of sample product to fall in love with it. A few gals mention the scent, which is the tea tree oil that gives Pores No More its antibacterial boost for blemish-prone skin. You'll get several benefits from Pores No More: #1 shine control #2 smooth surface for your foundation #3 non-aggravating ingredients. It's not cheap, but it goes a long, long way.

I wish I could gush about this product without it sounding ridiculous. But Orly's Bonder is the absolute best nail product I've used -- bar none. What I love about Orly's Bonder is that no matter what brand of color I put on top of it, I know it's going to wear well and not chip. As for the health of my nails, they're normal (not hard, fragile or anything extreme). This is the first thing I put on my nails in a manicure, and I'm careful not to lay down a thick coat (it's just not necessary). After that, I follow up with 2 coats of color plus a simple top coat. That's it. My only beef is that this brand is hard to find at mass retail. So far, CVS is the only chain I can count on to carry it.

Here's my quick disclaimer: the only beef I have with this product is that the lemon verbena scent to this product makes me think of furniture polish (sorry, Oscar). Otherwise, I'm a total fan of the Spray. So, setting aside the smell (which other consumers might love and think it's fresh), I prefer this Spray formula over the dry powder that is harder for me to control. I have extremely fine, shoulder length hair with layers, and by the end of any given day -- my scalp is oily. I'm able to cure that problem just by spraying the product in 3-4 areas (I never use this anywhere but my scalp). The added bonus - my hair will hold curl better if I'm styling it at the end of the day after I've used this product. The price is consistent with the few other choices on the retail shelves.

In addition to MK's reformulated sunscreens, this is a product all of my family uses during the summer months. Having always been a fan of aloe vera, I like that this product gives a step further with extra antioxidant ingredients. It goes on easily & (most importantly) doesn't feel sticky or tacky afterward. There is no unpleasant scent nor does the product sting like some medicated after-sun products. We put it to the test last year on a 5-day cruise, and none of my family experienced any flaking or peeling which can happen so easily after non-stop all-day sun. Mary Kay's products are always a great value, so it gets my automatic thumbs up for it's price. Stock up, though. I go a bottle pretty quickly.

First things first -- patience, persistence and consistency are everything when you're trying to enhance your skin without the help of prescription products, harsh ingredients or treatments from a dermatologist. I've been using Lancome Serum for 3 1/2 months, and I'm glad I stuck with it. After years of sun exposure (at the beach and everyday rays), a handful of darker pigmented spots started showing up on the sides of my face. I chose Lancome because this serum does NOT contain Hydroquinone and because the Lancome representative explained how the serum breaks up the over-pigmented area gradually. I use this for targeted areas - I don't put it everywhere on my face. I'm guessing that I'll get 2 more months of use out of this tube, and considering that I got it as part of a Lancome set during the holidays, the value has been sweet!

Lancome High Resolution with Collaser-48 Deep Collagen Anti-Wrinkle Serum
Biggest Difference in my Skin So Far
When I hit 40, it was as if my skin decided to show its age, so I turned to a girlfriend who recommended Lancome's Collaser-48. My biggest complaint was that my skin was starting to show signs of losing it's spring, thanks to less collagen production. I didn't have preconceived ideas of what benefits I would get, but after 3 months of using the serum consistently (twice a day), I pinky-swear that it has given my skin a huge boost. The most notable improvements are in the overall smoothness of my skin, and lo-and-behold my skin really does look more radiant. Since starting with the Serum, I've also added the High Resolution moisturizer, by the way. I've had to hold myself back and use only the amount I should (i.e. size of a pearl). Remember to distribute it on your fingertips before applying to your face (it'll go further that way). As for price and value, I can tell you that I've gone back for more and pay the price. It's worth it. Tip - as you get to the end of the bottom, give it a few smacks with your palm which will force the remaining serum to the bottom so that you get every last drop out of it.

I tried Mamaku Night Serum as part of a set that included a cleanser and the clay mask. Fresh touts major moisture benefits among this product's core benefits. I loved its texture and scent, but since I don't suffer from dehydrated or dry skin, I didn't see any dramatic changes. That said, I can't say anything bad about it. Since I use a few other serums for targeted skin improvements, I hated to pile on too many serums at once. So I'd be totally game to give this serum 3 months of solid use, especially during the winter months. One note -- if I were still traveling and flying, I would absolutely have this in my travel bag on every trip!

I love to experiment with products, but when it comes to Mascara -- I have yet to find a formula that beats this one. Definicils' wand is one of the best, and it delivers smooth, just-right coverage on my lashes. If you want sleek, lengthy lashes that stay well-separated, try Definicils. The product never flakes or smears throughout the day, and it comes off clean without any hassle when I wash my face. Frankly, don't let the "new-fangle" applicators detract you from this wand. It's the ticket.
