Like every other product in the Acne Solutions 3-Step, this product was simply too drying and irritating to my skin. Yes, it kept acne away, but unfortunately, it left a more noticeable kind of redness and constant itchiness in its place. For people with super sensitive skin like mine, I wouldn't recommend it.

Clinique Acne Solutions Emergency Gel-Lotion
Apparently I'm the only person without luck with this one..
This product does what it says--it gets rid of zits. Yet in the process is literally gave me burn-like symptoms--scabbing, terrible itching, and swelling. I had to use Benadryl after using this and my eyes were so swollen (even using it only sparingly on my chin) that I couldn't put my contacts in for three days. Anyone with ridiculously sensitive skin might want to try other benzyl peroxide products first to make sure they aren't allergic.. because if you are, this 5% cream will destroy your skin for a few days. True, your zits will be gone, though..

I was so terribly disappointed in this product. I apparently have too many scars; I put it on 9 scars twice a day and in less than two weeks it was gone! If it were simply a case of going through it too fast, I'd understand and be less likely to complain, because I was asking the product to cover a lot of skin area. But the problem is that in those 12 days I had it, I saw absolutely no change at all in my red post-acne marks, even though they were all recent problem areas. I'm usually a huge fan of Clinique, but after having tried almost everything they make in the Acne Solutions kit, I've been turned off.. at least in that particular line.

So many facial lotions feel like enough until I put makeup on and my foundation flakes off. This is the only lotion I've found that one dab takes care of my entire face and prevents flakes. I like it even better than Clinique's Dramatically Different moisturizer--and it's much cheaper, too! Plus, you have to love the SPF!
