    Neutrogena T/Gel Therapeutic Shampoo

    Really helps calm the itch

I've used Nizoral AD (the over-the-counter version) and this to control scalp itch, and this definitely works better for me. I'm guessing that might have to do with whatever is causing my scalp to itch, but since this is cheaper and makes my fine hair nice and thick, I'll stick with this (once my bottle of Nizoral runs out, that is).

  • Softlips Lip Protectant/Sunscreen SPF 20

Did not care for this lip balm at all. Barely moisturized my lips, and the smell/taste are awful. I much prefer Chapstick's various balms, especially the all natural ones.

  • Chapstick 100% Naturals

    Chapstick 100% Naturals

Yay for a natural option at the drugstore

I have been using ChapStick practically since birth, usually the plain, cherry, or blue Lip Moisturizer versions. My favorite was always the blue Lip Moisturizer, but one day my lips broke out into a rash. I realized after several days that it was the chapstick causing it, so I switched to this natural version. Since the ingredients really are all natural and totally different from the other chapsticks, it worked for me. Didn't irritate my lips at all. Unfortunately, it doesn't last nearly as long as the other chapsticks (I'm used to and prefer the heavy waxy feeling on my lips, so I know they're being protected and that the chapstick is lasting). But I'll continue to use it as long as I can find it at a decent price (i.e. cheaper than Burt's Bees and other more expensive natural brands). Oh, and it doesn't taste bad at all - another plus.

  • Suave Professionals Volumizing Conditioner

This conditioner softens, but it didn't do anything else for my fine, oily hair. It just weighed it down. Uck.

  • Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo

Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo

Love this shampoo, except for one thing

I have fine, oily hair and bought this to help fight scalp psoriasis/eczema that wasn't helped by various Neutrogena anti-dandruff/anti-itch shampoos or even a steroid cream. After a couple weeks, the itching went down considerably, and now, after a couple months, my scalp feels so much better. It helps to leave the shampoo on your scalp for a few minutes. The smell is awesome. The only 2 downsides are 1) it stings like crazy if you get it in your eyes, and 2) it leaves my hair pretty flat. I don't use conditioner in the summer, but I should probably do that or alternate it with another shampoo. Overall very happy with it, esp. for being free of preservatives and toxins.

  • Neutrogena Rapid Clear Daily Treatment Pads

These don't overdry my skin at all, though sometimes my skin feels a little filmy after using them. The smell is really strong when you're using the pad, but it fades when the product dries on your skin. I don't honestly know if it's any more or less effective than other similar pads with 2% salicylic acid, but these work pretty well for me at preventing major breakouts. btw, they work better if you use them after washing your face than as a substitute for face washing (which I do at night fairly often).

  • Maybelline New York Cover Stick Corrector Concealer

Maybelline New York Cover Stick Corrector Concealer

Not the best, certainly not the worst

I have very dark undereye circles, and this helps up to a certain point. It's creamy enough that when I pat it on with my finger, it blends into an even layer. However, the color (I use Medium) shows up a bit whitish on my skin instead of matching it. It also doesn't last for hours. I have definitely noticed a difference in pictures, though - my circles are much less noticeable. So I'm torn - it's cheap enough that I don't mind trying it, but it's probably not my long-term go-to concealer.

  • Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 - Normal

I've been using Olay's regular moisturizer and sensitive skin moisturizer for about 20 years. I switched to this one when it first came out b/c I have oily skin, and it does seem better suited to my skin than the regular one. It feels good and stays matte for a few hours, but I'm still not sure if it's the best moisturizer for oily skin. I'm too afraid (and cheap) to switch, though, so I'll probably be using this for a long time to come!

    C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Tint

Okay, but not even close to "my favorite"

This balm is too thin to be truly effective. Moisturizes okay for a short time but doesn't last long at all. I need something heavier and waxier to keep my lips soft and smooth.

St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub

    Best scrub for Oily skin

This is my HG scrub for spring and summer. Leaves my face completely smooth without overdrying it. (During the colder months, I switch to the regular St. Ives Apricot Scrub.) I stockpile it whenever I find it on sale.
