  • Cutex Essential Care Advanced One Step Nail Polish Remover Pads

I bought these for traveling, and that's a great plan, but I find that I prefer to use them every time I remove polish from my toenails. The pad is soaked with enough remover to clean all 10 nails. Just let the pad sit on your nail for a little longer than you would a cotton ball w/remover, and the polish will whisk right off. I think the pads do a more thorough cleaning job than the typical method. They cost more per use, so if I did my nails fairly often, I could see balking at using them for every removal. But I don't, so I love the product!

  • Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat All-Over Brightening Pen

This did absolutely nothing for me! I really, really wanted to like it and tried it as highlighter, concealer, and maybe just a brightener. But it simply added nothing discernible to my look. (I'm very fair, in my early 40s, with pretty good skin; I purchased the lightest option.) Even with a very light application, I found that it separated on my skin. Add the high price tag and the fact that the product will turn gloppy in the tube relatively quickly, making application more difficult, and I just can't recommend it.

  • Mitchum Powder Fresh Clear Gel For Women

This has the same active ingredient (and concentration) as the "clinical strength" antiperspirant creams out there, and for me it works better overall. Those others have, in my opinion, have strange scents that bother me throughout the day, and they are ridiculously expensive. This gel goes on clear -- you don't need very much -- and I stay dry and odor-free all day. I use the powder fresh scent and like it because it fades into the background, so you're not smelling it as you move throughout your day. This works better than anything I've used.

  • Principal Secret Reclaim Buffing Exfoliant

I was skeptical about this product at first because it seems SO gentle. I was used to stronger/scratchier scrubs. But I really love not just the feel of this on my skin (almost like lotion), I notice a very clear difference in my skin's surface when I use this regularly. Honestly, I think this scrub does as much to soften the look of fine lines as any of my antiaging creams! Love the scent, love the product, and it's a decent price when compared to department store brands . . . however, I feel I do need to use it more often than the 2-3 times per week recommendation to get the results I love. So I go through it fairly quickly, and that's a downside that makes me downgrade from 10 to 8 stars. I can't afford to use it all the time! On the whole, though, I do recommend it for gentle but noticeable improvements to the look and feel of your skin.

  • Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Recovery Complex

I particularly like using this for day because it seems to freshen my eye area and also sink right in, leaving a nice canvas for my makeup. When I use it at night, I really notice that it moisturizes well overnight, and I absolutely think it reduces puffiness. It's also very gentle -- I have trouble finding eye creams that don't irritate my eyes or the skin around my eyes, and this one has been great. It's my favorite all-around eye cream right now!

    Philosophy Amazing Grace Spray Fragrance

Love the scent but not the perfume version

I absolutely love Amazing Grace in its lotion, oil, and body spray forms. (I used to love the solid, too.) But with the eau de parfum version, the scent just isn't as pretty to me. It smells more synthetic, and on me -- for whatever reason -- it doesn't seem to stick. I honestly cannot smell it on me after application, and that has been the case since the first time I used it (so I know it's not that I just got used to it). Must be something off between the fragrance and my body chemistry! In any case, I can't really recommend this specific product but would send anyone to almost all the others in the Amazing Grace line.

Philosophy Amazing Grace Perfumed Firming Body Emulsion

Best Scented Body Lotion I've Used

I doubt I can add anything new to the "discussion," but I had to review this product because it has become an all-time favorite. The lotion sinks right into your skin and leaves it looking GREAT. I especially love using it in the summer when I'm showing a little more skin. In warmer weather it leaves a nongreasy sheen that looks great. And, I agree with a previous reviewer who mentioned loving the scent on her bathrobe the next day! I will usually shower before bed if I've used perfume or scented lotion. But with Amazing Grace, I've been known to shower and then put it on, intentionally, before bed. It leaves a fresh, pretty scent on lingerie, the sheets, the bathrobe . . . and never turns icky or cloying the way other fragrances do when they're lingering on clothes, etc. I love this lotion both for the scent AND the performance, and it's really much cheaper than the scented lotions you'll find at the department store perfume counter.

  • Estee Lauder Skin Perfecting Creme
    10.0

    Estee Lauder Skin Perfecting Creme

    Light Feel, Strong Performance

I've been using this since the late 1980s! I have fair, normal skin, and I used it every day/night during my mid 20s and through my my 30s -- couldn't live without it -- until I started adding more options to my arsenal as I got a little older. It's a rich cream, but it goes on light and disappears into your skin, leaving it silky and fresh. Use it at night, and you will wake up with soft, clean, and firmer-feeling skin. I still keep a jar on hand for when I'm not blasting my face with stronger anti-aging products (I use high SPF during the day and usually more of a treatment product at night now), and I've never been disappointed. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'd still have good skin and be happy using only Skin Perfecting Creme now . . . but I like using different things. I hope Estee Lauder never stops making this classic cream.
