Bare Minerals Mineral Veil is a corn starch and mineral based setting powder. The brand says that this powder will "make the most of your makeup" and calls it a "see through but spectacular finale for any kind of complexion. Minimizing lines, absorbing oils, and softening your complexion. It gives you a flawless finish that's too good to miss. And best of all, it's utterly weightless. Just a bare veil of minerals that locks makeup in place and give your skin an airbrushed perfection." Bare Minerals offers a few different formulations of their Mineral Veil, I just have the regular one, no SPF or anything. I have a 2g (.6oz) jar of this setting powder, it was passed on to me by my sister in law, who didn't like it. A full size jar retails on it's own for $20, but this product is also available in several value kits. Bare Escentuals and it's subsidiary brands Bare Minerals and Buxom are cruelty free. I'm not sure where this product was made. Bare Minerals products can be bought through the brand's website and free standing stores, as well as at Ulta and Sephora. Packaging isn't anything to get excited about. A clear plastic jar with a screw on black cap. The name of the product can be found on the lid. An ingredient list can be found on the bottom of the jar. This jar includes a sifter, which is convenient at first when you have a load of product, but gets in the way of dispensing product when you barely have anything left, like I currently do. Luckily the sifter pops out without much of a fight. Plain but very functional packaging, I can't complain. Bare Minerals Mineral Veil is a very finely milled, soft powder. Bare Minerals has a very specific application method that they recommend for this powder. I'm pretty sure "Swirl, Tap, Buff" is the brand mantra, and it works well for this product. Mineral Veil is very different from the only other loose powder I've used; Palladio's Rice Powder. I feel like I only need to use a very small amount of product per application. And the results? Amazing. Bare Minerals Mineral Veil sets any liquid foundation or concealer and really provides a flawless look as promised. It gives a more refined, almost airbrushed, but very natural look to the skin, all while being practically invisible. I've used this powder with every foundation I own, and in a variety of weather conditions, and never once has my skin looked powdery or cakey. Mineral Veil blends and buffs in beautifully. This look powder even provides a touch of coverage all on it's own. Not lots, just a slight reduction in redness, and some oil absorbtion. Mineral Veil lasts all day when applied over foundation, but it will need reapplied if you wear it alone over bare skin. Obviously, like any loose powder, this isn't the best product for on the go touch ups, so it isn't travel friendly. Bare Minerals calls the color of their regular Mineral Veil "translucent", but honestly it seems to be just about the same color of my skin; more of an ivory than translucent. I hate when brands call very light ivory colors translucent; they usually match my skin tone (which I do not consider translucent). I don't think this powder would work out too well for those with darker skin. I think Bare Minerals may offer a darker shade as well, I certainly hope they do. I really enjoy Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. I'm not a fan of their bronzer or mineral foundation, but their Mineral Veil setting powder totally makes up for their fail. The packaging is boring, but does loose powder really need a cute container? The texture of this powder is great and that totally translates into application, which is smooth and easy to blend. This powder is very natural looking on the skin and so lightweight. While I really enjoy this loose powder, I doubt I'd repurchase it. The price isn't too bad, but $20 seems a little bit much to spend on a powder that's comprised of corn starch and stuff. If you're on the hunt for a very good loose powder and don't mind spending a bit more for a great quality product, please consider Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. Thanks for this awesome powder, sister in law.

Stila hit this one out of the park! This has been my Never-Fail eyeliner for the past 1 year. Everything smears on me, regardless of primer or eyeshadow or waterproof or whatever. I always look like I'm seriously ill because my eyeliner somehow makes its way down to completely cover my lower eyelids. I look like one of those zombies you see in those Halloween movies. (I'd say while most eyeliners completely cover my lower eyelids - 100% grey eyelid, Bobbi Brown gel liner covers only the outer third of my lower eyelids - 33% grey eyelid). This eyeliner smears a little too, but just where the outer corners of my eyes meet - 10% grey eyelid. This is a HUGE improvement. No zombie eyes. This is the only eyeliner that doesn't fall to my lower eyelid and creating a horrendous purple/grey shadow. Tip: Don't layer this eyeliner. The more you layer it, the more likely it will flake (it's happened to me). But of all the top-notch liquid eyeliners I've used, this one flaked the least, AND when it did flake - it didn't drop into my contacts. Also, don't try to layer this on top of oily eyelids. Wash your face and make sure your eyelids are free of oils as much as possible. It'll allow the eyeliner to adhere to your skin and buy you an extra few hours of having clean lower eyelids. I use the blackest one they have and it's always easy to draw a clean line. One tube has now lasted me 6 months without drying out (I also do not use it everyday) P.S. If you find the tip gets kinda floppy and uncontrollable, just cut the floppy bit off with scissors. I find I have to cut the tip (about ~1mm) every couple months in order to draw a straight line.

Now I can say it.... Yes, it's true! Black honey is an absolute must must must have. I was very skeptical, I feared it would be too dark for me. My complexion is very very pale amd how dark it looked really made me nervouse to try. its hard for me to find the right lip color... i was sure itd be way too dark. It's not. I bought it after having read innumerable reviews, 99% of them positive. I also like the silver, sleek packaging - simple, elegant and functional. But most of all I like the result I get: it's a wonderfully flattering hue. For me, too: I have blond hair and fair (not too light, though) complexion. It beautifully ehances the color of my eyes (blue). The texture of black honey is fantastic, so moist you can almost use it without moisturizing your lips beforehand (and it's all said!). It's sheer, the quality I most appreciate in black honey, and brilliant, it lights up your entire face. The hue is gorgeous: it leaves a tint as if you had just sipped red wine. So, I would define the color as bordeaux. Its undertone is more red than brown. It's transparent and light and lips look youthful and healthy with just a veil of black honey, much more than covered with a layer of normal lipstick. Because of it's sheer nature, it doesn't last as long as a normal lipstick so you will have to reapply quite often. I've become quite an expert in wearing lipstick and in my case I must say it lasts pretty long. In any case, if you don't eat a complete meal it has a reasonably long staying power. For sure a more than worth while purchase. If you've been hesitant, stop, GO BUY IT! You will seriously not regret it.

Ok...so I got this product Labor Day weekend and needed time to use it to see some results. I have been suffering from mild to moderate acne skin for almost 8 years and have tried every product under the sun. In addition, I have the oiliest skin known to man! LOL For the first couple of weeks, my skin wasn't really improving; it felt like it was getting worse. But I remember my dermatologist always told me 'it will get worse before it gets better'; and she was right!! Within just a month of using this on my face, my skin is 99% acne free. In addition, the oiliness in my skin has reduced substantially. This product is AMAZING and easy to use. It's so great that I have the option of the sensitive brush and the normal brush; that way I can switch up if necessary. And the body brush is EXCELLENT! I had this nagging pimple on my chest that would NOT go away. But after I used the body brush along with Neutrogena oil free acne wash, I swear to you my pimple was gone the next day!! Like I said: AMAZING! I have recommended this product to anyone who has asked about my skin because I believe using this product cleans my skin 100x's better than using my hands or a wash cloth. My skin regiment is not the same unless I use this brush. In the time I have had the brush, I only missed one time, and my skin felt dirty without it. Anyways, I hope this review helps anyone who is on the fence about this product. I was on the fence about it too, but once I decided to take the chance and pay the price, I've believe it was so WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I will agree this does remove makeup very well. However I used this, the exfoliation an hope moisturizer they had all together and my skin NEVER looked worse. If you have severe oily skin or acne I don't recommend this it doesn't help at all. Also doesn't smell very pleasant

Proactive did NOTHING for my skin at all. Did not clear my acne at all, actually felt like my acne got worse while on it.

I fell in love with bare minerals when they first got big on the market. But then was before my acne flared up. Not that I have some scarring I can't use this stuff. The coverage isn't just light it's practically non existent! But because of that it looks like your not wearing a whole bunch of makeup caked on

Back in middle and high school like everyone else I have acne prone skin. I used so much benzoyl peroxide and other over drying products I really needed a good moisturizer. This is the first one I used that stopped my skin from flaking and wasn't super oily. The cons it needs a SPF ( I hear now they have a version with SPF but I have yet to try it) and it could smell better
