Tanceuticals CC Self Tanning Body Lotion

The best!!!

I came across Tanceuticals when searching for a self tanner that wasn't tested on animals and is cruelty-free. So when I finally ran out of the current self tanner I was using, I took the plunge and bought this one. When I first applied it, I noticed I didn't need to put as much on as I usually do with these products. It's very light and a little goes a long way. Plus it doesn't get all sticky like many of them tend to do. So far so good. but the best part was when I woke up the next morning. THE COLOR WAS PERFECT! It's a natural-bronze color that was smooth and streak-free. It's soooo beautiful it's insane :) And there's no telltale DHA smell like with many other products. My skin also felt very moisturized which was a huge plus. I totally adore tanceuticals self tanner now :)

Really Didn't Like

While sometimes I like using "cheap" self tanners for everyday use, this one just didn't work very well for me. It's a little too heavy for the face and the smell, while faint, was unpleasant. Even after using it for 4 days straight, I still didn't get any noticeable color. Disappointed overall :(

Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion

Good considering it's price...

This self tanner is pretty good... considering the price. I bought it for around $10 online. The color it gave me was nice-- but not as dark as I was expecting. I've tried the light/medium before and thought this would be darker. Applying this product was easy and the smell wasn't too bad. I would have rated this product higher if the tan it provided lasted a little longer and the color was a little "smoother". But overall I liked using this self tanner (especially around the feet when I use another, darker product for the rest of my body).

Sun Laboratories Tan Overnight Self Tanning Lotion

OK But Not Great

In my quest to find the perfect self tanner, I decided to give Sun Labs Tan Overnight a shot. I found out about it on kind of a shady website so I was a little nervous about trying it. When I finally got it, I was surprised by how dark the lotion was. Turns out, it rubbed in pretty well into my skin. After I washed off the guide color the next morning, my color was actually pretty nice. However, there was a bit of that "self tanner odor". It wasn't horrible but I could def smell it. Anyway, my tan lasted about 4 days, which I was pretty happy with. So would I try this again? Probably. But I wasn't blown away :)
